I'm just curious to see what everyone's first MMO they played was, and what thier favorite one is. My first game was Runescape (I thought that it was the best game, before I saw there were others on the market), and my personal favorite is FFXI.
RS was my first MMO, and also stays as my favorite.
Then WoW.
Best MMOs - RuneScape and WoW Crappiest MMOs - Hero Online, SWG, DDO MMO's played - RS, WoW, GW, EVE, AO, PlanetSide, Jumpgate, Face of Mankind, MapleStory, SO, Liniege 1 & 2, City of Villains, Flyff, Realm Online, SWG, Seed, Sims Online, City of Heroes.

SWG at launch was my favorite. Follwed closely by AO.

EQ through all its flaws and time sinks to this day is still my #1 favorite.EQ on pvp servers (Rallos) added so much to the game.I don't play it anymore but i'm thinking I might if the new expansion gets some really good reviews.
EQ1 i'll never forget logging in the first day , pure magic , i was a high elf paladin the beautiful music , loads of tall trees ,wasps buzzing around and not a clue what to do .
i wish i could get the feeling back i had them first few days, i never have though.
oh and 'an orc pawn' old timers of eq will know them 'you ruined your own lands you'll not ruin mine' ' centurians attack'
Anarchy Online here too. And still my fav in some ways. Deffently the best character tweaking options, implants etc etc. Was just great stuff yet to be beat.
First: Runescape. (because War of Conquest wasn't a MMORPG,but more a RTS with squares.) I couldn't play it on my old computer,so when I upgraded I enjoyed this one for a while.
Favourite: WOW. (but it shall be Darkfall upon any kind of beta/release) Great PvE atmosphere,my first 'real' MMO and I enjoyed it from 1-60. The PvP sucked but it was fun in small doses.
I would have liked to have played EQ1 in its prime; it sounded really good but sadly I only discovered MMO's in 2004 properly.
Runescape was the first I played it back when it was first created. EnB is up there as my favorite and made me not consider runescape a mmo when I swapped between the two.
Eve is close. Wow is the only one I'm not proud of having played. Everything else just slides into the middle.
my first was mu dont kill me! when i first got internet, my friend told me, that it is a cool game! i beleved him, until i foun, that there are so much better games than mu
