my first one was runescape too and i still like it the most because i hate the gameplay of the 3d things
(annoying popups if you wanna see your inventory or skills)
another good one is gunz its free to play too but if you dont have a good system you get troubled by an update, that also happened to me when i was playing it like 2 months and i was getting along with the weps finnaly.
My first MMO was RuneScape, maybe because it's for little kids. I liked it, but everyone got hacked, just like me.
I don't have a favorite MMO, never played one a very long time, if I have to choose, then it will be the grindfest Thang Online, I don't know why. But so many MMOs are coming, one of those shall be my fav.
2. Neocron, although I didn't get into it until early this year when it was almost dead, still by far the best MMO. The community on a scale of 1-10 was 80, and the atmosphere and FPS controls were amazing. Too bad the game was buggy as hell and the devs sucked, and the billing system they used (Click2Pay) screwed with me (no fault of the devs) and I was unable to use PayByCash (the alternative.)

1. Ultima Online
2. The games I've had the most fun in were Ultima Online, and actually Shadowbane around its release.
