Dude, great work and thanks, I thought you had to pay for this kind of stuff...
The Austin site looks promising...
The SOE site, well, it's hard to tell... I don't see any obvious BB's, but there are listings for that area, so I'd figure there a) are BB's, b) building side BB's or 3) listing Boards (bus benches, etc.). I'd be hesitant to buy anything around there without seeing the angles.
Last, any chance you could do this for the LA site, I'm just curious...
Amigo, per your request.........
LucasArts, San Francisco, CA
address listed as - 1110 Gorgas Avenue, San Francisco, CA 94129
On this map, you'll see Gorgas Avenue, the building on the north side is the LA building (outlined in red). Satellite imagery is dated at 2006, so building on south under construction is probably unrelated (outlined in blue), looks to be part of the nearby Letterman school of arts or somesuch. The buildings west-northwest of the LA buildings (outlined in green) may be related, cannot be determined with info at hand. LucasArts Entertainment Company is part of LucasArts per website, so this should be a good address for LEC as well.
address listed as - 5858 Lucas Valley Road, Nicasio, CA 94946 (name unrelated to ol' George, believe it or not)
This location is also Lucasfilm Ltd. This one was the hardest of all to track down, still took less than a minute to find on our dear friend Google.com, by way of Wikipedia. Ranch complex should be Skywalker Ranch/Lucasfilm Ltd. facilities, I believe the large lake is Ewok Lake (at it wasn't Lake Jar-Jar). This location is outside of Nicasio, in a relatively undeveloped part of CA. I doubt there are good billboard/sign/other prospects nearby, but figured I'd include it just in case.
Note to MMORPG.com staff: see prior note, I am following your RoC by providing only publicly accessible information. Most info and all imagery I collected are from Google.com, although some info came from www.wikipedia.org/en and www.lucasarts.com itself. I have reviewed the RoC several times to make certain I am in compliance. Further, a direct link to the RoC from the FAQ pages would be nice. The easiest link I've yet found is through the FAQ > User Rank Questions > How do you calculate my rank? page. It's not exactly the most direct route when attempting to find and comply with the RoC.

I'd vote for "Pre-CU FTW" or "Pre-CU FTMFW" with the website beneath it. It's short and sweet, everyone who shares (or has at least heard of) our thoughts will understand it, and those that don't will go to the site. I thought this was such a good idea, I just had to share it with Smed Think you guys can do this before SOE buys some billboard advertising? Keep the good ideas coming

Again, awesome. It's looking like this will take a trip. I'll check on Monday if we have any upcoming business trip to San Diego. Honestly, this is looking mixed so far, but has promise.
The LEC & Lucas Film stuff seems a bit extream, hehe, but creative... I doubt it's in a BB area...
I'll start my own SWG... with Black Jack... and Hookers!!!

Too late, they do monitor these boards.
Let them... what's the worse that can happen? They rent all of the Boards around their business spending tens-of-thousands of dollars? So what, we go to the nearest main street and rent 2 sides of a sign so they can see driving to & from work everyday... Then what can they do? Spend a Few Hundred Thousands renting all the Boards in their area? Costing them a fortunes doesn't sound too bad to me...
Also, lets not forget... if we could raise about $50k, we could rent all of the bus boards for some time... rofl... that would just be hilarious...

I was thinking the same thing when I read somebody else's post regarding having it show on CNN. We should probably make sure it does. But....
We should contact finiancially oriented shows like Lou Dobb's Moneyline, Fox News' Your World With Neil Cavuto, etc... That might elicit an interesting response from Sony shareholders who do not want any more press.
Of course the downside is that they would likely want to interview somebody from both sides. SOE would decline no doubt, but the question would be who feels like dressing up to appear on a national news program? Whoever it is best be prepared to not make us look unstable by acting all Howard Dean-like.

Here's our gameplan so far:
Establishing Viability
Establishing a Website
Establishing a donation system
Setting and raising an initial target amount for funds for a Scouting Trip (unless we can find a reliable Partner in San Diego)
Arranging a scouting visit to San Diego, Scouting & Contacting local BB companies
Once determined Viable, setting donation targets & raising funds
Work with those who Donate to pick phrasing
Executing
(Optional) Take a followup Trip to San Diego to take photos so we can all Gloat
Look for a followup in the next few weeks...
I'll start my own SWG... with Black Jack... and Hookers!!!
I loved the "We spent our money on this billboard instead of SWG"
Maybe a "Give us Classic Servers and we'll give the money to YOU."
I think it should be on both signs. Just incase the crazy "They can only run one server type because of LA" theory is actually true.

I think our donations would be better to do this, then giving it to an EMU team... There's a blank Billboard about 200 feet from the front of LA headquarters, and several Billboard spaces available near the SOE entrance (I'm not sure about Austin, but asked a friend to check)... for about $2600 someone could rent them both for quit a while, saying something like... The NGE $#&%@... BRING BACK PRE-CU!!! I think that may make our feelings understood...
Now that is actually a pretty good idea. I could get behind something like that.

There are a few of these online make your own t-shirt/bumper sticker sale shops. They get most of the money, but you get a cut as well. It may not seem like much, but you accomplish two things... You get to put the PRE-CU message out there in the form of advertisement by sticker/t-shirt and you get a little kick back that you can use to fund the BBs. Plus that way the people donating get something tangible for their effort at the same time...
Who here wouldn't wear a shirt with one of these great messages on it? Further, wouldn't it be a good idea to get these shirts/stickers etc to these SWG events they hold everywhere?

Great idea. I'd say you'd want to finalize exactly what you want on the billboard so the T-shrts will have the same thing. When we're dealing with the unwashed masses, we need to make it simple for them to understand that the shirts and billboards are related.
