There are people that think there is nothing wrong with using variations of four letter words as adjectives and adverbs. There are others who find it in poor taste, and yet others who find it a sign that the author is possessed by demons.
The mods of the board have the difficult chore of balancing freedom against losing page views because the site becomes unviewable to some.
My experience in the past with a lot of people is that they cannot fathom why what they said was wrong -- even if the rest of the civilized world thinks it was horrible. Only you and the mods are going to be able to honestly judge whether your post was or not. Your opinion is not the one that matters here. The mods were kind enough to warn you instead of outright ban you. I'm sure if you try, you'll figure out what was said to trigger their response. It was specific - not like "please quit flaming" which is more a matter of opinion sometimes.
In the past, the mods have let a lot of profanity slide that raised my eyebrows. I thought "Wow, they're pretty liberal here." I would not be surprised if the recent pointed attacks at them by a certain few people over the splitting of the boards did not open their eyes to just how foul it can get here.

I do wish people were less sensitive than they are. True story ahead.
I was the goto guy at a medical software company, I designed the system, did some coding and was generally the guy management went to when anything out of the ordinary needed doing. Relations between myself and the new president of the company were very sour, considering that he put his own cadre of people above me in the org chart and bumped me from #3 in the company to #6 or so.
They decided they wanted to convert some paper records into our software so I was supposed to show up at 6 AM. For some reason I was under the impression we were meeting at our office but the President was waiting at the clinic in question. So I get to the office, look around for him and see his #2 guy who immediately calls the Pres on the speaker phone.
Jim: Uh, Herald. It's Jim. Was John supposed to meet you at the clinic at 6 AM?
Herald: Yeah, I got here at 5:45 and have been here waiting for Fatass ever since then. You heard from him?
Jim: Yeah Herald. Fatass is right here listening.
Herald: oh.....
Not only am I a little overweight, but it is in a menacing muscular sort of way. I swear the guy was shaking when I finally arrived at the clinic. I was waiting to see if a wet spot appeared.
He apologized profusely and I was like forget about it. You're not Kate Moss either you know.
Now the story was supposed to end with "and we lived happily ever after", but that is not how it went. But the bottom line is I didn't let the childish insult get to me.

Starting to see a trend? Warning for Insults... Notice who isn't getting them for trolling? Allowing trolls to fester on our board is going to have the net effect of causing fustration and flaming.
I see right through this recent trend. They are actively trying to remove some of us with a new moderation policy. Apparently its the anti-SOE, swg crowd.

I personally see most real Racial problems as self inflected used as a excuse, reason, or cru wotch for ones own shortcomings.
Racism does exist but is inherant in all beings, an example I hear the word cracker like one might hear the Dreaded N word in the 1950s.

There is one thing I do care about, and that is a world where you can openly express your veiws whithout being moved to the corner so no ones infected by the truth.
Truely this is the worlds biggest problem now and a trend that is growing out of control........funny thing is that most people dont know these things........

I have yet to see him deny the profanity part and everything he has said in reference to Nancy McIntyre and Irish seems to indicate he said something potentially inflammatory about Irish. How his warning relates to yours other than in timing I do not see.
My communications are normally clean and racially sensitive but VERY anti-SOE and Smedley. When the ban stick or warning stick comes down on me, I'll believe something is up.

You cannot just remove people. Saying SWG Sucks, SOE sucks, SWG is teh SUXXOR. is prohibited my friend. I just read it from a staffers post. Go ahead and post your honest review of SOE and SWG.

However, they shouldn't hold a public game forum and then restrict you from giving an honest review of a game or the company that produces the title and then expect you the customer of there site to not be upset that there policy on reviewing games is flawed. This site exists because customers visit for the sites reviews, articles and forums. There is no other reason. If you start selling your reviews, moderating the forums and watering down your staffs articles you have a very poor gaming site. That is what is happening today and I dont have to like it as a customer of there site. They get paid by my clicks.

Its free and there is no way to ban anyone from public site with free forum accounts.
I have yet to see a decent and honest review, positive or NEGATIVE ever get deleted because it was biased one side or the other. I have never seen anything remotely close here so I feel your point is completely groundless.

That's cause the SoE Devs rolled out The Milky Way NGE and they decided that we all didn't really want 9 planets and nerfed it.

Yes and no, they can ban a block of IP's which means the offender would have to get on an entirely different IP pool or host before they can gain access again.
And if they are "allowed" to ban people, they most certainly are.

This isn't a public forum. That would imply that it is funded by the government, either local, state, or federal. Example is a public park verses a privately funded country club.
That being stated, I think that MMORPG.com has given some of the best reviews of games that I've seen in a site that has advertising for game developers as a source of revenue. If MMORPG.com becomes a development sycophant, then hopefully the will lose out on advertisement as people learn to avoid that site (like I avoid Stratics whenever possible).
