Stellos.... DAoC, WoW, SWG, Anarchy Online, Eq1 and Eq2. I've expanded my horizons, thanks. Eq2 is the best of them all.
plz!!!! stellos, ive played just about every game out there, f2p and p2p and not too many of them come close to even competing with EQII, let alone surpasing it in any cat. so far id say its upkeep is right on par with FFXI or WOW, graphicly, its right on par with the best of the best, content wise, it seems to b right up there with some of the most content heavy games out there.

People, seriously, without flaming, its a joke, as i said before, even the devs said eq2 doesnt shine because of a massive world... they never intended it to be, the invisible walls and the lack of explorable content clearly show that. I never said its a bad game, i actually think its a more fun and quality game than WoW or GW, but you cant defy the rock hard fact that the actual outdoor world zones, the world, the place where you go sightseeing, travelling, hunting, mostly solo, that this place is not very big... ... I agree though that its bigger than DDO or whatever combat based mmog you wanna refer to. But its not anywhere near massive worlds like SWG, DnL (which sucks, i just look at the world) or EvE

This is not that great of comparison. The EQ2 route from Q to FP does not utilize large portions of the zones whereas the WoW route does. The WoW route also crosses about 1/2 or 1/3 of the total zones in WoW.
Antonica is slightly larger than the barrens roughly as hihg north to south but slightly wider. TS is jsut as large. and so is nek Forest and Commonlands.
Getting to the docks from gate in TS is only like 1/10th of the zone. The EQ2 route you are talking about would be equivalent to going from UC to IF not to the tip of the continent and then only if they made the route traverse a large protion of those zones. Which they did not.
Anyway the EQ2 outdoor zones are plenty big and there is quite a lot of total land area. When you consider all the zones combined. But it is not mapped into two large continents in WoW. Its not conintuous because of the docks and the archipelgo nature of the cartography.
Meh whatever. I don't play this game anymore but its a fine game for the typical level grind type game. I was just tired of level grind games. The game is just as good or better than WoW. Although some of the invisible walls in Nek bug me and the art is worse.
