2.Wii will be getting HD, which is the only damn reason people like 360. - some time this summer
3. Wii will be getting DVD functions. - some time next fall

I chose a 360 for xbox live. The Wii is a very good console, and I'd not mind having that one too. I find that the biggest fanboys/girls are often the most insecure, regardless of console/other. I very much hope you genuinely enjoy your Wii, but let's stay respectful to people who prefer different things.

Also i can download a lot of clasical console games legally too.
Its true there are good things about the other consoles such as superior graphical horsepower but in the end ill go for the wii due to its inovation factor alone.

Nintendo understand that the most important aspect will always be:
GAMEPLAY.
However, gameplay + graphics would be better than gameplay alone. So if the PS3 or Xbox360 can put forth more appealing GAMES and GAMEPLAYS, I am sure it will sell better. Thereby, the PS3 and the Xbox360 are both more appealing then the Wii, however, the medium don't matter much, it is the GAMES that will make the difference in the long run. Cutting edges graphics don't make a game, but they certainly help a good game!

Lol I'm cheering for the Wii too... but OP... give it a rest dude. The other consoles have their advantages too.
Its by far my favorite system, but thats not to say the 360 and the PS3 won't be fun. They are great systems, with some truly awesome franchises.
As for graphics, its nothing more than a gameplay modifier. It can make a game better but it cannot make a game, where as gameplay can survive on its own with crappy graphics. Albiet crappy graphics are different from buggy graphics. Just look at Adventure from the original Atari 2600, that game is GREAT!
Now there are some games on the Wii, however, that do have horrible graphics. This is by no means the fault of the Wii. The Wii can handle truly superior graphics than the Xbox, GC, or PS2. Unfortunately, lazy developers don't think they need to add good graphics into their Wii games because they feel the control scheme will sell the game alone. Its going to be a problem that plagues the Wii throughout its lifetime.

for two reasons.
1: Xbox live with close to everyone using headset.
2: Gears of War.
Combine those two things, and you have an experience the Wii can never hope to achieve.
I was all over the Wii with its new remote before I tried it. After having tried both Xbox360 & Wii, I came to the conclussion innovation does not mean its better. Innovation is a good thing, don't get me wrong, but new isn't always better.
I hated xbox live.......
Its the reason I cancelled my account and gave away my xbox. I though playing those games online would be great like playing an MMO or whatever......WRONG
It was a horde of little kids screaming and cursing at each other while vehicle whoring and teamkilling wholesale. Im sorry but thats just a little beneath my expectations. I dont know that the Wii online gameplay will be any better but I sincerely hope it is. I love playing first person shooters on the Wii aiming with the Wiimote is very natural and instinctive. i enjoy red steel and call of duty 3 as well as Farcry so far. I would really like to see them put some shooters online so we can play them together with other players.

I agree. I own GoW and I must say the game was 90% hype, 10% show. Its a solid game, albeit a little short, but the multiplayer SUCKS. The versus is just the same thing over and over again, and the co-op is just a replay of the game with chat.
The only reason I am keeping it is so I can play co-op with my brother whenever he comes over.
Lost Planet, on the other hand, has GREAT multiplayer. Quite possibly the funnest multiplayer console game, although the main game is a bit drab.

I love my 360. Was in xbox live since early beta, I think it's a great service, 50 bucks for the year vs 15 a month, good value for what it is.
It's a solid console, with a solid stable of games, probably not going to see a lot of games come out every month, but when the big names drop they will be quality games.
The Wii appears fun and it's a different style of gameplay alltogether which I applaud Nintendo for. I'll buy one when I don't have to break my neck finding one. I am currently enjoying my gamecube still, killer 7, the resident evil series, viewtiful joe, etc.
The PS3 hasn't wow'd me at all, everytime I see one, it's frozen, so I will wait for the price drop and redesign. My PS2 still has plenty of life left in it, with plenty of games I still need to play.

Every system has their pros and cons, sony, nintendo, microsoft, nvidia, ati, whoever, don't love you even if you are their biggest cheerleader, they love your money. You are a sliver on a pie chart to some companies marketing dept, so sit down, relax and have a cookie or something. Instead of picking sides like a moron go where the games are, games you will enjoy playing, and support the companies that make good games regardless of platform. Same stupid threads everytime a new console hits. Figured most people would have figured it out by now.

I agree with you about GoW. That game was all hype. Short single player and I could never get into multiplayer. Now Lost Planet is awasome. I like the story, it's alike an arcade game in a way and the multiplayer is off the chain.

1. This is about consoles, not computers.
2. You state the Wiimote sucks without giving any reasons why.
3. You put your claims down as facts, rather than opinions.
