Like: SWG pre-CU, can't think of any other fun mmo I've played
Dislike: WoW and any game with pure levels and forced questing
The skill system of SWG (pre-CU) was the best ever created. To be able to mix and match skills from 32 different professions. I'm still waiting for a game that can beat that. This combined with the fact that all items in the game were created by players and player cities made SWG the best game ever. There were no lvls that made it impossible to play with your friends who were faster at grinding. I have only seen one game since then that doesn't use lvls and that is EVE. There are however several things about that game I dislike so won't play that..
Dislike: World of Warcraft (Probably one of the most polished online games I've ever played, but the lack of any real impact on the world leaves me wanting more. The only reason I even play is because I can't get some of my friends to play Shadowbane.)
My favorite would have to be Guild Wars. Hate to see so many disliking it. Get past the PvE and the PvP is amazing. I found alot of fun in coming up with ideas for builds and testing them in random arena.
World of Warcraft (Pre-Cross-Realm Battlegrounds) takes second place. I loved knowing everyone I fought. The community was more active. Now the game is relatively dull, with all of the new additions. In my opinion, anyway.
My most disliked MMORPG would have to be DDO. I disliked this game for a very long time, and although the dungeons were fun at first, the fact that they were the same every time with the same traps made replay value close to none, if not so. The game was just not my sort, I suppose. If they did it just a little better it would have been great!
