Those pics honestly look much better than the pics I've seen posted in this thread for VG. Nice.. yeah, I'm sweating them.. they just look that good.

If you think that is impressive it gets better. I have a P4 3.4 GHZ, 2GB DDR2 and a 7600 .... 50-60 fps flat at those settings. In comparison: Vanguard 10-15 fps at balanced (translate: ugly) settings. It's not just the quality of the graphics but the detail that does it. I mean check out that first VG pic ..... empty screenshot except some stuff in the far distance. LOTRO screens are filled with life and detail.

Oh REALLY? Wow, will you do us all a favor and do some diverse screenshot so f the "LONE-LANDS"? Please. I would like all VanGuard players HOW Wonderfully FILLED and full of LIFE and DETAIL that the LONE-LANDS provides. Man, you know VG MUST be FILLED with Nothing but BARREN waste lands ALL over. WOW. LOTRO is ALL filled with things so beautiful and vivid in color.

We all can find thigs to pick on a game about from one area to the next. Just because you see an area that is lifeless doesn't mean the whole game is that way.  Like I said in my other post. Some people are so desparate to put down a game they will find a needle and claim it is a WMD.

I've played LOTRO from August 2006 to May 2007 and I bet you I can find a THOUSAND things that make that game SUCK and drill your brain to boredom within 6 weeks of play.

I like both games and I'm subscribed to both. I think they are both beautiful in different ways. Although i do have to admit I get 100% better performance from LOTRO than Vanguard at the moment, but I'm hoping that'll chnage with time.

I agree with you there as I play both but more as playing VG currently. Too burned out on LOTRO right now... However I don't know why in the hell you would do that by displaying to us 2 games to compare with one using a lot better res?

I love Vanbois. I make one comment about the quality of the OP's screenshot. Then Vanbois challenge me to post some LOTRO screens instead. I do. Then they get all defensive and go "well not EVERYTHING looks like that". And then of course my favourite line "people do anything to put a game down". You guys beleive whatever you want to. Subscription numbers don't lie. Later...

dude these are old pictures Id had up at my family's website. They were all taken sometime ago. yes they are different sizes but some I shrunk down to make emailing them easier others I just posted on our BBoard.. No conspiracy here.. please take your tinfoil hat off.

I actually think the Vanguard pic in the first set looks better and the LotRO in the second set looks better. Its all a matter of where in game you decide to take a screenshot

Actually, I've played EQ2 and stiull own it. I have even played the Fae demo, but I don't think the graphics are better. Infact I think they seem more cartoony since Fae. However, if you really give it much consideration. VG looks like EQ2, but some of the clear coat on the skins have gotten better. LMAO

No, the tinfoil hat stays on until you decide to be fair and treat both titles with the same integrity by giving them the same advatages. otherwise you get pointed tinfoil hats stuck in your face.

LMFAO, Dude, you are a pure "IDIOT" First off I am also a LOTRO player to. So just because you can't post yor own you get all defensive and jump on the Vanbios name calling. Oh I am so hurt. Wow, you must be 10 yrs old to think text from a unknown nobody is going to offend me.

BTW, you favorite line yo used "People do anything to put a game down" Wow, did I hear that somewhere before?? Oh yeah HERE onthe VG Forum. Yeah infact you know what???? Stop acting like the POT and calling the KETTLE black.

Then to use the typical term used in WoW " Subscriptions don't lie" Yeah and most people are followers to. Most stupid people. I suppose you are one of them? Especially since you use lines a lot, usually people that can't think of things for themselves to thats ort of stuff.

Bah, go back and play LOTRO. Or are you burned out on it to. HEHEHE When I played Beta for 6 months. I practically was NEVER here. Wow, and it has only been less than 30 days and you are already coming back here? OMG people are burnign out a LOT faster than I suspected.

I know, I beta'd it for 6 months. I've seen every hidden corner and every instance in LOTRO. Infact Patience would be calling me a traitor if she saw me posting here and so would my guild on LOTRO.

One thing that sucks in LOTRO. If you look at most high cliffs you will notice that the textures are stretched. I get the same affect with NwN2 toolset. Nothing really you can do about it other than raise the landscape to shrink it. However, still LOTRO landscape does look nice. But still I think they could have thought of a better why to do Lone-Lands. I think they got a level-entry guy to do that area. Doesn't look much like typical turbine work.

    VSOG graphics quality?

the full size picture provided by your link is pretty bad

either the horse has an extreme case of the jitters or the game has a serious jaggies problem

is it safe to assume the issue isn't with your graphics card?

Nope...do you know why jpg's are used on the internet as the primary format?  Because jpg's are easier to manage due to  the fact that they are so heavily compressed.   Vanguard saves the images as jpg's.   I dunno how to get it to save them as tif's.   Then you'd see them as they are.  The only thing is I doubt you'd see the kind of quality I do unless you have a monitor capable of handling extreme res's - like HD.   Plus they'd be huge!  We're talking 10's of megs here.

If anyone here knows how to save an iamge in any other format right from game I'm listening.   Tell me how to do it and I'll gladly start using it.

Best way I know of so far is to do a Prt Screen. That way you can  paste it directly into Adobe Photoshop and save as you like. Otherwords save to clipboard rather than a file

OK I did this and I'm getting better results I think.   I had to change to a different res in game so that I could alt-tab out and load up my photo edit program to save it and their turning out quit nice if I do say so myself.   :)

Nice comparison Kenze. I think this here gives the prospective view of both artwork. Being side by side it started to standout that you can see VG is an unfinished product. Wow. Nice to see them side by side.

BTW, I think everyone should post a link to their stuff. These pics take up too much room in the forum and harder to see. I wind up down loading the pics to view from my viewer.

just bought vanguard last friday and it kind of sucks so far.

character creation is very weak, (use random on character creation and it looks exactly the same)

    just a copy/past of a few other mmorpg's.

the quests are a joke so far,

talk to someone kill a few things to lvl up, then go to a new area and do the same.....

a forced party (option) would benifit some of these weaker mmorpg games.
