When you rely on "My truth is better than you truth" or "I am right so you are wrong" arguments with false or unconfirmed facts you just sound silly and will get nowhere.
See told ya this dude just addmited WAr looks like WoW. They will look alike becuase they are based closely on the same Artistic IP . And i said this but the same people will say :
1) WoW stole Warhammers artistic look, and then
2) WAr looks nothing like WoW

"So so course WoW came first!" WoW came before WAr and thats how many people will see it , so you will see these post over and over. Maybe if the community stopped spinning the truth and just admited WAR looks like a mmo that came out before it will , but becuase the artistic ip was taken from the WArhammer universe we could stop misinforming people. Because WoW and WAr do look awful alike. Telling someone who clearly thinks they do look alike , they do look alike will do nothing but make them think , that person is full of shit. (Because they are).
To impyrels , yes it does to many people WAr loosk like WoW and thast a fact becuase many people agree. "Looks like" is subjective Thus its opinion and many people hold this opinion. Its like saying Murder is wrong , its subjective but one can label it a fact.
The reason AoC is brought up is simiple , WoW fanboies just see anything and say that looks like wow , then they would also look at AoC and say that looks like WoW. However, They do not do this , but when they look at WAR they say that looks like WoW. Why do they do this its becuase they really do look very similar, ORC , goblins, big shoulder pads , the teeth , and the artistic style. They have many common and similar factors To the point where even WAr fans have thought new WoW pics were new WAr pics , to the point where we get a continual stream of people saying WAR is copying from WoW. This is happening FOR A REASON AND THAT IS THEY DO LOOK ALIKE.
Oh i think its funny no oen addressed Mythics move to more instanced PVP... I can't prove that they did it becuase of WoW, you can't prove that they didn't , however, we all know that if WoW had not existed WAr would be quite different , becuase all MMO companies barrow ideas and change them into a version of their own. So ill say again , "is war ripping off WoW" , Yeah a bit but less so than WoW has ripped off other mmos.

PS.2 id rather be a fool than a fanboy at least fools don't choose to be; fanboies have all the ability not to be but purposely dilute themselves.
PS.3 Look up my posts I am Pro WAR , yet ill say it how it is, no spin here. I just feel trying to force people to feel as if they are wrong, When they look at WAr and WoW and think they look very much alike, is kinda crazy because its their opinion, they say WAr looks like WoW then it does to them. Saying it doesn't is crazy instead say why they do look alike and how they are different.
Edit- Tho i do say that i can not prove objectively that WAR looks like WoW. More or less its a fact many people think WAr looks like WoW.
Seems we are both pro WAR, and we both agree that WAR and WoW look abit similar. If Mythic were to take a giant leap away from the WoWish feel/look/whatever (which is coincidently the WAR look) just on principle they might aswell commit business suicide.
How exactly am I deluding myself? (if its aimed at me, I guess it is coz of the fool remark I made which was just a general statement about ppl being ignorant thinking WoW is the mother of MMO's which you took personal somehow?
). If WAR plays anything like WoW but with more emphasis on PvP (which ofc it will have) and Warhammer stories etc, then I'll be extatic 
I've been playing tabletop for 10+ years, I like most things about warhammer fantasy alot and WAR would have to be a major catastrophe for me to not play it (I guess this makes me a fanboy).
Its kinda funny how you thruout the entire thread want ppl to acknowledge that WAR and WoW infact look somewhat similar and when I do, you wanna confront me about eating cakes or something?
What exactly did WoW steal from WAR? (I don't mean warhammer lore, I mean specifically what you said : WAR)

I have played every MMO that has ever come out.
Not at all. They would be smart to borrow some of the successful things in Everquest (WoW is basically just an Everquest that borrowed ideas from other games). Things that are popular and successful SHOULD be used again for the most part. That allows the creative games to be more seperate and creative. Quit making these stupid threads.

I've seen youtube video's and read up on how "Revolutionary" this game is. I read the same comments from other users that i read on WAR, Dark and Light, DAOC, and even WoW comments. Thers nothing revolutionary about it, its jsut going to be point and click while in the air. And super my 1 took it from a 7.0035 to a 7.00348. other than the flying, theres nothing even remotely appealing to me about that game. Im sorry that I forgot freedom of speech was not wanted here nor was it to be able to state my opinion. IF a game is going to be "Revolutionary" it better damn well be, or its getting a 1.
Actually WAR is a copy of DAOC which WoW is as well. But WAR has a right since its made by Mythic (and ffor those of you who dont ge twhat that means, Mythic made DAOC as well). But its still no where near original its basicaly doing what all these cookie cutter "western" mmo's are and using DAOC's combat/skill engine AGAIN.
NExt time I'll remember i got a comment stalker so that every comment i make i'll have to remember MY GOSH I BETTER LEAVE A 2 AND A COMMENT THAT DOESNT PROVE MY ACTUAL FEELINGS TOWARDS A CERTAIN TOPIC CAUSE HE MIGHT TALK RIGHT OUT HIS ASS W/O ACTUALLY KNOWING WHAT I DID AND WHY.

to the OP: One, are you blind? first of all, the style is nothing alike. The elves don't have huge, bloated muscles, the females aren't deformed like teenage boys with implants... humans look human... the list goes on. As for which is better? that's entirely opinion, Nothing more.
As for WAR ripping off WOW? Ok..come here so I can bitch-slap you. Warhammer is a game made in the freakin SEVENTIES as a tabletop game moron. Green orcs? Goblins with gizmos? Dwarves with shotguns? ALL WARHAMMER KID. Blizzard made the original Warcraft 1 as a cheap knockoff for people to play Warhammer online, basically. Frankly I'd have sued them into oblivion, but I guess they didn't care, and Warcraft became a big PC franchise, Warhammer stayed big as a tabletop game, but alot of the PC games leave alot to be desired. I'm hoping this one changes the trend, as the last one was fairly good as well.
Your getting warhammer online confused with the warhammer table top game. 2 separate entities. One you pay 15 bucks a month, the other 15 per figure.
Just because textures/models differ doesnt mean the general idea, concept and even gameplay arent the same. Im gonna go to bed so im gonna save any replies to tell me whether i need to go further into that.

We have come to the conclusion time and time again that the two games, although hold similarities, are nothing alike.

I have played both WoW and WAR.
WAR is like WoW in a lot of ways, it would be stupid of Games Workshop not to use what sells, just like WoW did when it was released. It makes more marketing sense to make games familiar to ones that already sell. But there is a lot of things in WAR that WoW does not have, and as the GW rep told us "we are wanting to draw more of the mature MMO players to WAR, that re tired of 12yr's banter while playing." And I hope it does.
It's very usual that it happens, though. You watched some poor quality clips, as I understand. Even though, my friend, it'll just keep on with the flame wars. It won't stop at all, unfortunately. Some folks can't just accept on whatever their opinions are, even if it's not true at all. As it's been told, there are lots of ways that it's not like WoW, and the ones who won't get it, won't get it. I don't care, because we all need to do one thing, and that is to wait for the game to get released and have fun. It's based to enjoy the game, not flaming and bashing about it! Why couldn't it be a better way to have a discussion? Telling negative names to each other and flame all the way, is not really a wise thing to do.
To the folks who'd rather play Darkfall, WoW, AoC and whatever mmo games... enjoy and have fun, that's the really matter!
Now let us wait and see the thread leaving the first page or something.

AOC is a rollerskating sim with seks's,"boobies" and buffs for digital loving. In other words it gonna be the next big place to cyborz for middle aged chubby chaser's dont get me wrong they need lovein to, AOC will give Second life a run for its money. AOC=2ndlife 2.0 with pvp inside.

What a waste of posting for me. Nobody won't listen, anyway, just bashing at each other. Darkfall is great, AoC is great, WAR is great, etc. Gaming is for fun, and if you don't like the game, play the games you want to play. There is absolutely NO need to bash each other or whatever for some games, especially mmorpgs. I hope this will be the last post for me on this thread.
Enjoy the games you like, that's all! That's the real point! It only matters if you have fun with it. Cheers.

I believe I have finally found a video which should quash any and all comments about WAR being graphically similar to WoW.

Click on "Tooling up a Black Orc". Watch. Enjoy. Notice the lack of any similarity to WoW whatsoever.
The only similarity (other than the basics of MMO's, which you can't really count as similarities) is the UI, and that is mainly because WoW had an incredibly generic and easy to use UI, so why the hell not use a similar one? It's modifiable to your personal tastes anyway.
Beyond "you click on enemies and then autoattack them" and "you can jump", there aren't actually many similarities between the two games at all.
