intends to start a qeynos based guild, non pvp (imperium arcanum)

As of today, everything we thought we were going to do w/this guild needs to be reconsidered. Greco-Roman theme stays, the other guys will just need to deal w/that, but we need to change some things.

What we need -

1. New Name (this is imperative. Anyone with any ideas, post. Nothing to do w/ Imperium plz. I checked and it looks like the other guys have been here since January!

2. Revamp Site (I'll do this one. Anyone who knows of places besides geocities where i can build a website w/o using HTML, chime in.)

I will try and contact the other guys, and secure there agreement on being on different servers. 2 Romanesque guilds on one server is redundant. We can do this. Hey, we can't have the other guys having all the fun, now can we?

New name? Here is one ... still in gerco-roman style...

Sodalitas - It's latin, and means fellowship, companionship, secret society.

Lacerta - That's good, i like the translation. Is Sodalitas plural or singluar?

I like Imperial Sodalita(s) or Sodalitas Patrician. Kinda like the Imperial Secret Service, or Noble Fellowship, respectivly. Feedback plz.

Sodalitas is singular (I think). I like the idea of mixing it (like your "Patricius Sodalitas"... particius = patrician/noble

How about Fortis Sodalitas .... fortis = strong

Then we could use: 'fortes fortuna adiuvat', [fortune favors the brave] as our guild-phrase..

I think Imperium is a good name but also it is slightly common, I know warhammer 40k kids who have all sorts of imperium named things and i was thinking we could modify it or something like make it more everquestish or maybe latinize it like imperia and maybe add another latin word to describe the guild further. Imperia is the plural of imperium:

Absolute rule; supreme power.
A sphere of power or dominion; an empire.
Law. The right or power of a state to enforce the law.
so maybe we could think of another name like "Guardians of Imperium"(Curas de Imperium), the name is more magical to me, or something else that involves Imperium just think of another word and i can translate it. i have just seen imperium by itself used on starcraft, warhammer, and other games as a name for clans/guilds-Just a thought/option to consider.

Ok so I guess our only problem is the name right? lets just think of an english name for the guild and put it into a latin translation. I think it would be okay if we still included imperium in our name but with a word or two before it. I personally like Curas de Imperium, or we could go with Imperia the plural form. Or we could just think of something else. I like Curas or maybe we could be guardians of light? but imperium is more greco roman. I will think of some other stuff.

yeah, i was just trying to say its not attractive for a guild to say they will be the best before the game even comes out. I have been in many guilds in EQ and you can't have that kind of attitude in order to become the best. The guilds that are the best of the best in EQ all started off either as just being a group of people that want ot group togeather and than raised higher in lvls to be able to raid. A guild that wants to have fun and spend time togeather is attractive... the more attractive the guild is the more popular it will become.

Well since you were banned from our forums you mightve missed my post for you in there so here it is. It was posted a couple hours ago so you mightve saw it before you were banned..not sure

First off all the reason why i like this guild so much , is because we have good people in it. The leaders of this guild are very nice and are not bossy jerks. We dont have a site yet?jeez your an a$$

We are getting a offical site just to let you know , and we have plenty of time. Eq2 isnt coming out for atleast another month and a half , at least. We have plenty of time to become organized in that amount of time.

Second of all your a jerk. Coming here and posting crap on other guilds forums? im glad your not joining this guild.

Third of all. Bobjones and trajan are not trying to be the most ''Powerful'' guild. They want the guild to be well respected and known for good things. Ive been in guilds with extremely organized sites and the leaders of them are usually pushy a-holes or they dont get to know everyone very well and ive seen those fail. Everyone in this guild right now are all friends and we all know each other well enough and we really just wanna group with each other and help each other get started at the begining and then build from there , so you have abosultey no right to come in here be a ****ing jerk and post crap. For all you know , this guild could be extremely successful. So you are the arogant one. Goodbye sir , never post here again.

Oh...and another thing , all your doing is makeing those 2 guilds now look bad if they repersent the likes of you

All i see in the intro to your forums is "Since it is mostly true that guilds that start early in the game will be the top guilds on a server, We are planning to make our guild respectably and honored."

Am i supposed to know all what you said just from that? Why dont you make it aware to the public of what is going on because if you dont a lot of people will think of it of what i did. And i wasnt trying to be an a$$. I was trying to give some helpfull critisism.

Lol well i wouldnt really consider what you said in our forums ''critisissm'' cuz u basicall just said this guild will fail because we want to be powerful and dont have an offical site and just a forum so we suck and will be horrible. But if you read everything you wouldnt be saying that..but yes i do see your point because thats what the main thing they said was..but you sortve took it in the wrong way that they were meaning to pertray it. How is "sry this guild will fall" a helpful comment(especially when you can't back it up)? Your site really isn't that great either- cosidering you used phpnuke for everything. You got 2 reg forum members and your critizing us?? It's really none of your business, you were just looking for flame war and some trouble. Super Nice Site doesn't equal good community. And good community is what we have at Imperium aracanum.

I wasnt trying to critisize your site, i was criticising the feel of it and the aditude put towards it. It doesnt matter what the site looks like as long as it has the right attitude. And here you are now saying my site sucks (wich i am re-doing, and that was made a while ago) wich is not what i did... So become what you hate if you want.

And i do know what i am talking about. How many of your officers have experienced The community of EQ like I have? A guild can't just have nice people, they also need to know about the game because whats the point of being nice if you cant help others? Your site states that most guilds that are started before the game comes out are the best which is not necisarily true. Because all those guilds that came out dont know about the game play. Its the guilds that have the attitude to get to know the game as fast as they can so they can use it to make it a good expierence for its members.

But its ok, i see your an angry person so i wont bother to explain anymore to you.

Props-your the most ironic person I have come arcoss. You were critisizing the site on the our forum, saying those two were better. Trajan and Bobjones put work into it, but you just dismiss it(being a hater). You critising are whole guild on one comment(saying we might be big!) by bob jones. He never said we were going to be the biggest or the strongest. You read into that yourself.

I'm the leader, Bob is my brother. Personally, i don't mind if you offer constructive criticism, but seriously, coming to OUR forums and bashing us? That is just provoking ppl. If you work for another guild, plz tell me which, and how to contact their leader about this. If your just a freelance hater, then plz hate somewhere else. We want to have our guild in peace, without having to deal with this. You can stay and post here if you wish but keep it civil. I for one don't want this do degrade into an all-out flame war.

Why did you feel the need in the first place to waste your time posting on our site? Personal Insecurities? How your site has a bad community? Jealousy? Or are you trying to get your site more views by flaming the most popular eq2 guild thread? Lacerta is a normal member anyway, Trajan and Bob are the leaders.
