Yeah, and just coz I want to play an Elf like character in SWG, I should not have to be so beastlike. Lucas Arts needs to modify their entire game lore to satisfy my overt need to play an Elf and still play SWG, since there are not already enough games out for me to be an elf in. Developers need to cater to me! I want to be an elven Jedi who wields a trusty ApplePieSaber. Anyone who disagrees with me on this is the true bigot.
What the hell does this have to do with the topic? I can see if you were a elf in real life then this post would make sence.

War is based on a tabletop game. Which has set races. The races ingame that are playable are based on the races in the tabletop game. Its that simple. If however you want to see the black people then go to Khemr and look up the undead to see what happened to most of them.
In warhammer 40k you say there are no black people your quite wrong in this of course too, just go and look at the imperial guard armies and the space marines and the sisters of battle and the Witchhunters [they are predomanantly mad up of humans and last i hear black people are human].

What do you mean? I am agreeing with you. Just because a race has nothing to do with a game does not mean devs should not hurry out and add the race to the game, despite it not fitting into the lore or backstory. I think it is pretty obvious how it has to do with the topic.

all the people i know who play games dont play them to represent their ethnic background, they play them to have fun, enjoy the experience, and get PHAT LEWT
Like some one said before if every mmorpg from now on started making every character black only with black features, hair styles what have you and the only option is to make only lighter skinned black guy would you play it?

and besides the only thing in the table top game that restricts skin colour is the person who paints the models.
I think what happened to them is most OTHER people (Don't want to speak for you on this one) got over the whole race and color issue, had interracial relationships and bred the color difference out of humanity as a whole so we could all live in peace and not be so concerned with the color of our skin, since there are much more importan things in life. We all bleed the same color after all (Except those greenskins. I think they ooze bile) But I don't know. It is THEIR ficticious world.

No I wouldn't. I'm a hella racist pig, I mean I absolutely refuse to play a human type character. I prefer Taurens from WoW, Dwarves from Lotro, and Nanomage thingies from AO. The closer to human it appears, the more I hate it.
If I wanted to be human, I'd live my life.

like i said gameing's an addiction that i feed, I dont care if I play a white guy, black guy, lizardman, or some tenatcled alien, as long as the game is fun, and the story is interesting...which is why i get so bored of WOW

I don't know why I am asking this but curiosity is killing me. What is this made up word "hella" everyone seems to be putting in their post? Is it short for "hell of a"? Thanks was curious, seems like the new hip word to say for the kids I guess.
I dunno isn't Warhammer based on England in like the middle ages or something... i think the only black people here then woulda been slaves if there was any....

First of all Mythic has not been loyal to the IP period. GW seems to only care about the cash in this deal and signs off on anything and everything.
1.) There are no female priest of Sigmar period ! There is no debate in this regard. Everyone who knows the lore knows that female orders are not allowed to hear the voice of Sigmar. Any female order that would even hint at hearing the voice of Sigmar would be hunted down and burned as witches by the clergy of the Cult of Sigmar.
2.) Female dwarfs are extremely rare and very rarely if ever venture out of dwarf holdings. In fact the only time they would take up arms would be if all the male dwarfs in the dwarven army were killed and the only ones left to defend their homes are the women kin and the enemey is literally battering at the gates.
3.) There are female Chaos Chosen and Marauders. While they are rare they are seen in fluff lore. Also Chaos tribesmen societies are pretty brutal and everyone is expected to hold their weight in a fight. Being that Chaos tribes constantly war with each other and the Chaos wastelands are known to have many wandering bands of war parties there is no chance women are forced into weak-minded traditional roles. This is especially true once they have been gifted with the power of mutation by one or all the Chaos gods. Remember the Chaos God's want devote and loyal followers who they can manipulate. It really doesn't matter how strong or weak they are prior to mutation because they can augment their "Chosen" followers with special powers once they found the right one.
Also if their can be female Knights of the Blazing Sun then there is nothing to say that one or more then one could of fallen prey to the temptations of chaos and switched saids. Hell even Priest of Sigmar been known to be seduced by the God's of Chaos on rare occasion.
4.) Male sorcerers in Dark Elf society are not welcomed period. Sorry but Mythic has their head up their collective arses when they dare to suggest that somehow things have been patched up with Malekith and the prophecy that for tells his death at the hands of a Male Dark Elf sorcerer.
So yes there can be darker skinned characters. Hell there are empires like Araby that aren't exactly lily white and the Empire itself is known to trade and even war with these non-European empires so cross pollination of people is bond to happen ala Roman Empire. In fact there is nothing written that would suggest there aren't any darker skinned people running around in the Empire. Also this isn't a 12th century styled Europe that the Warhammer IP is based off but a 16th century "renaissance" type Europe theme and that is a little more open to inclusion of non-Caucasian races.
Zoodoo, I'm sure someone would be posting a very similar thread if it were that way, and the vast majority would have to suffer for the vocal minority when it came to caring about the pigmentation of a video game character, kind of like when people scream NERFwhen they think someone is better than them in a game
Blacks were not slaves in the middle ages what about the moors they were never slaves. Often some blacks would fight along side of armys in europe.
