Hello all. Geez .Im gone for a few days and I loose my elite status, lol.
Well, looks like I can't build either 64 bit system I wanted now due to me having to go on a pretty tight budget due to some recent complications with my health, though I get to where an eye patch which the ladies like, so I need your help and opinions very much. I want to use the pc for gaming, surfing the web, word processing, some publishing, and artwork & graphics design. My brother gave me a Wacom Intuos Graphics tablet as an early birthday present along with a cd of some share-ware and free-ware graphics programs. I will be oc'ing some to get better performance, but I won't be doing anything very extreme. I'm still pretty new to oc'ing. Ive also got this posted at motherboards.org in the recommendations forum.

I went ahead and ordered the WD Raptor HD and the Liteon DVD -/+ RW drive from Newegg.com. I must say that I wish I had had the foresight to order from Newegg when I purchased a mobo, cpu, ram and vid card for my current system because I probably paid $175 too much for them from what Ive seen at newegg..

True, the companies listed on pricewatch are usually rated however. People gave user feedback. Use that as a guide and you should be perfectly fine. I used pricewatch when building my computer, saved me hundreds than if I would have went to newegg and did it all. Though I still ordered some things from newegg, as they often do have a sweet deal.
I never had to return a thing though. No need to get offended (if you are), just letting people know newegg isn't the holy grail all the time. Especially if you're on a budget (Like the person I was replying to).

The socket 939 FX53 is better, of course...that's why it carries such a high price tag. Why you'd spend that much on a processor is beyond me...if you need processing power, go dual opterons...if you need gaming power, go for a higher end video card. If you need both, and a FireGL or a Quadro to the mix to replace the gaming graphics card. Seriously, the best processor for the dollar is the socket-754 Athlon 64 3200+ right now...due to the continued support of socket 754 for lower end processors. Socket 939 MoBos will offer more features, and a 939 64-bit chip with the right RAM setup and video card would be godly, but it's un-needed. Go with a 3500+ and 6800 Ultra (or 2 ), or throw a FireGL 9800 series or the new Quadro in the mix for superior power...but don't go out of the way for the processor, because they're over-rated performance wise and overhyped anyway.
Results show that processor spead has a very small effect on overall system performance past a certain point...that's why the fastest AMD chip is only 2.4GHz.

I've been wearing them almost exclusively for years now, I say I have over 80 now, thats only counting fairly new ones that aren't warn out and I still wear on a regular basis, I'm tough on shirts tho, I wouldn't even want to try to count how many I've worn out and trashed. Prolly cause I don't spend 800 on 4 outfits.

Hahaha... The best T-Shirt i own is a black one and in very small font in the middle it says "Nosey little F***er aren't you?". I'd always walk into the mall with them and have people read it. But i got suspended for wearing it to school .

Also, I'm not a big FPS fan, leaning more on EQ style play - would you need anything different in your system between them? Or not?
