this morning our website was under ddos attack from a poster here calling himself sam123jo123. he has now stated that he was paid by sony for this. has sony gotten so desperate that they will use cyber terrorisim
to prevent bad press? i'm sending smed an email about this now.

Um, the poster in question had one post to his name, although others seemed to recognise him by his avatar. Personally, I doubt SOE is paying anyone to make posts on forums. It just makes no sense, either financially or otherwise. They could just get staff to do it if they really wanted to, but I doubt they really care that much what people on forums think. If they did, they'd go back to pre-Cu servers. But they don't. *shrug*

I would suggest that all the swg vets that are unhappy with SOE get together and try working with a different company to make another star wars mmo, SOE will never go back to the way it was. I've never had any problems with SOE and I've been playing since eq1 came out. I hear that they are terrible to their customers and they don't listen to feedback, oh well, don't buy there games then.

The bad publicity that you generate for a dying game is not really going to concern them that much.

Every game sends out free trials for people who played and then stopped playing the game. I get them in my mailbox all the time. I got one from LoTR yesturday, want it?
SOE would like ANYONE to play SWG, but they dont really care about you.

Fact: Several DoS attacks were made against my website today. It was done by someone who also informed me that he was the responsible party who is a member of these forums. Ball's in MMORPG's court as to what to be done about it.
I personally am not going to take it any further than that unless it happens again.
Everything else is speculation and rumor.
