To the OP: I reckon Blizzard will cancel Wow if they see Conan. For sure. NEVER EVER in game history were the number of pixels a reason for a game's success. You can't see the hairs of your left eyebrow if you fight with your avatar at 15 meter control distance. What i DO see in Conan is LAG and LACK of control, hence gameplay was sacrificed for a few pixels more you don't even care for in fighting PvP. Fans of Warhammer: I hope it will sell 5 times more than AoC, just to frustrate this guy !!!!
His statement and question were silly, yes we know. But until your precious WAR comes out(I am sure more delays will come) AOC will have a nice polish and lots of bug fixes. Not to mention many people who are waiting for WAR will try AOC and they may like it and get addicted until WAR is out. There are many possibilities just dont rush to critisize AOC by its beta and few silly people.
Ea can just as easily take a business loss on this post release. There is no legitimate reason they should cancel it now. The majority of monies have already been invested in at this point.

Hellgate was small fry compared to the cash EA have sunk into Mythic for WAR.
Different sized developers as well. Whoopty do, Flagship had some ex-Blizzard people from Diablo. Doesn't meant their game will be fantastic though. Their upcoming game looks to be in better shape though.
just the fanboys will be left playing AoC and WaR when Blizzard releases Wotlk.
lol Maybe, but I feel the same can be said about WoW.
No, they're not going to canel WAR, the product and the player-base is there, ready and willing.
I agree with others that WoW is the game that will, finaly, feel a bit of a hit in subs. Nothing drastic but X-mas just won't be the same for Blizzard as it has been, based solely on WoW. They'll make up the financial loss between Wotlk xpac and Star'2. But, they will be facing longterm competion and it will get worse as more releases hit the market from here on out.

I agree everybody will be getting WotLK 'cause the gear you spent months and months grinding your ass for will not be totally useless and you won't be obliged to start everything from scratch and once you get to lvl80, you won't have to grind endlessly to get EPICS and so one after each expansion!
Well I don't hate WAR, I may have a different opinion of it compared to others but I think they put themslves in a tough spot. If they do not release this year they will have to essentially compete for players with games such as Wotlk.Aion,Stargate Worlds, Guild Wars 2 and lets not forget about the Bioware mmo. It is simply too much for WAR to handle. If they manage to finish the game and release this year they will have a leg up on the upcoming mmo games. Will EA cancel WAR, I highly doubt it but the longer it takes them to release the tougher it will be for them to be successful.
Yes, there is a press conference for tommorrow. Funcom is actually buying out EA, because the latest AOC patch has caused EA to go bankrupt. I have this info from a very, very good source.
EA is cooking something up with WAR and i think they are for real for once and might just crush evrything in there way if they wanted to and do that right. Im not following WAR at all but we all know that EA can provide mythic with all time/resources needed.

Thats probably one of the most retarded posts i have seen, a game patch isnt going to make another game company go bankrupt, especialy one as big as EA. your a twatwaffle.
Lol, do you rly believe EA will cancel creation of WAR, that took nearly 4 years, and throw all the money, that were used on it, away just for that?? I can't believe you can even ask that question. It's just stupid
Aion poses absolutely no threat to Warhammer Online.
WAR is different, AOC is different... appeals to absolutely different audiences.
Yeah, AoC is nice.... and that update was a marketing trick they used which worked. They had it done all along, they just put it in late so people like you say "OMG THEY'RE REALLY GOOD" and hey, hats off to them... it worked.
Honestly though, AoC and Aion... I doubt either can go over 300-500k subscribers after a year or 6 months of release (Not talking sales, talking about current subscriptions.)
Whereas WAR has a chance to go over a million. That just depends on if EA screws them over or not, or if they actually come up with something solid.
I have played both games, dont call me a fanboi. I support neither, but I will be playing WAR if they keep their promises.
After playing daoc for a long time ive never been a big fan of mythic, and i hadnt got my hopes up for War, i was really rooting for aoc, but after playing aoc i really hope war is good. not flamming aoc, i just dont like it, imo it doesnt even hold up to the standards of eq 1 or daoc as far as being an open world and game mechanics.
AoC and WAR obviously appeal to different people. Uneducated people will look at a WAR orc and say it's a WoW clone, some will go further in but may not like it, while the rest will decide it's worth a shot or they really like it. I'm in the last group, but I'm not gonna die if it doesn't meet expectations and I'm 100% sure EA's NOT going to cancel this. Throw away all that money, yeah right. Right now AoC has better graphics, but everything you've seen in WAR is the skeleton. They haven't added all the high res textures, shadow/lighting, ect. So what you've seen is not what you will see at release. That means it's hard to tell whether WAR's graphics are really bad at this point or not. Gameplay...AoC's SEEMS new, but for how long? That depends on the person. Even after this "miracle patch" I see people who won't play AoC because they simply don't like the game. Right now it's hard to tell of course, but really, to think EA would cancel WAR because AoC works better for 80% (not even all!) of the people is pretty silly.
-------------------------------------- A human and an Elf get captured by Skaven. The rat-men are getting ready to shoot the first hostage with Dwarf-made guns when he yells, "Earthquake!" The naturally nervous Skaven run and hide from the imaginary threat. He escapes. The Skaven regroup and bring out the Elf. Being very smart, the Elf has figured out what to do. When the Skaven get ready to shoot, the Elf, in order to scare them, yells, "Fire!"
honestly, after having seen WAR, I have no delusions of grandeur.
Lets just say that the last month, AoC got 17 hours played, WAR..0.5 hours.
On my third cousins old computer that is...
Edit: This is a personal observation based on my own preferences when it comes to MMORPG's, of wich one game is way out of my field of fun, while the other is well, not on the target, but in the outer ring of my funzone.
Heck, I wish they would rewrite WAR... But thats not gonna happend in these "Copy WoW" times.. So I have to wait for Warhammer 40k..And hope they don't make another clone and changes its haircolor.
I'm not sure which is worse, topics that incite or the reactionary responses?
some responses here are really funny
i am amazed how mad people can get from someone asking a (over-the-top) question

Hah no not really, but the Matrix was a pretty cool sci-fi story, so too bad the MMO is kinda lame.
