Just felt like I need to post a new positive thread here.. to counter-balance the 20 or so people that must spent 3 hours a day posting doom and gloom about this game...
no I won't tell you what build I have... so I don't have to hear you flame me about how I unbalanced they are..
no I won't tell you what level I am - so I don't have to hear you tell me about all the lacking content. just around the corner..
no I won't tell you my computer specs - you do not need to be my IT guy.. thanks though.
THE GAME IS FAR FROM PERFECT, BUT IT IS FUN AND IT IS BEAUTIFUL !!
I feel very sad for anyone who after playing AOC, has such a WoW addiction that they have to go back and stare at that game anymore... but addictions are merciless, and make people say some crazy things...
So go ahead.. please tell me what a stooge I am.. k thx

Great post, it's a shame though that the "I levelled to 80 in no time & now I'm bored" brigade seem to make people feel defensive for actually liking the game.
I have also renewed my subscription & so far I am enjoying the game immensely. My main character is not even level 30 yet so there is still lots for me to do. At the rate Funcom are patching bugs & adding new content, that will probably be the case for a long while.
A lot of the people complaining seem to be so obsessed with getting to 'End Game' that they fail to appreciate the rest, I doubt any new game would satisfy them. I see endless comments about 'The Good Old Days' of hardcore MMOs, but those days are gone & nostalgia often clouds people's judgments, so they would probably hate even those games if they were released for the first time now.
If you can't "Have your cake & eat it too", then how can "The proof of the pudding be in the eating"?

I agree with you completely.. but then everyone plays games there own ways... like posting on mmorpg.com is an EXCITING and STRATEGIC game.
Take RoJo for instance.. he waited OVER 2 YEARS to make his first move... "likewise".

Definitively paying bucks for this game. This game is getting way too much negativity on these boards. Basically from the same people

threatened? no....dissapointed....definitely. Why would i be threatened? is it going to rob my house? going to kick my dog? No. My main game is EVE...no where near the same genre or type of game AoC is.
It's a shame when people don't hit max lvl and then are criticized for not hitting max lvl! It goes both ways.
More people come to these boards with negative because any slight misshap that doesn't pertain to being a fanboi on the AoC forums gets your acct banned or your post auto-removed. Lots more people who were rabbid fanbois of this game have come to realize it just isn't worth the time effort or money.

haven't been following the us board, but i can tell u that pure fanboi posts like "OMG AOC ROCK WOW SUCKS" get deleted just as fast on the eu boards

Hopefully they'll have enough stuff to make 50-80 just as good as the 1-40 was, or better.

I can't bring myself to renew. However, this has me slightly worried, I canceled and it says canceled but it still says:
Does this mean its still intending to bill me? wtf?

Kek..... I believe there's a 10 day "before" billing you have to cancel.
I simply removed my billing method just to be sure.

Does anyone else who canceled have it saying next bill date due in a day or so? And how did you remove it, I sure as hell dont want to get overdrafted because Funcom wont let me cancel. Ok, I removed the payment option, phew.
