As for the liquor store bit, someone died so he's a killer. He killed someone. So it's an accident he got the other guy he's still a killer. If the other guy didn't die and he shot him even with intent to kill, he not a killer because he didn't kill anyone.
Alright, so lets run with this then shall we?
A man is on his way home from work in his car and he has a blowout in his right front tire. The car veers to the right, he attempts to gain control but can't. He slams on the brakes, but before the car comes to a stop, it jumps the curb and hits a pedestrian and kills him. Killer? Someone died and he killed him. By your definition that's a killer because intent is not important, only the outcome.
By my definition he's NOT a killer because he never ATTEMPTED to kill the person. It's the INTENT of the person that is important, not the outcome.
Did not kill = not killer implies that
Did kill = killer
Yes the person driving the car killed someone so he's a killer. He drove into someone, someone died. Even tho its accidental killing.

What you're confusing intent with is murder.
Well I think we have taken this about as far as it will go. We agree to disagree.
Let me attempt to post something meaningfull, opposed to everyone else and even the OP.
Stop forcing your goddamn opinion down our throats, and then claiming to be argumentative. You're not argumentative. You are not "discussing" anything. You are posting your opinion, which we can see by now is "non-negotiable". You even stoop down several hundreds of levels by calling people "fanboi".
Seriously. We don't care you think it sucks. We've seen the "WoW sucks" posts by now. All of them. They're all the same. Bla-di-bla.
Basically, here's what a "WoW sucks" post is composed of:
-Several dozens of "arguments" claiming it to be repetitive.
--Offcourse it gets repetitive. Every game does. Especially MMO's.
-Several weird replies stating "You have no arguments to counter mine", and usually "noob" and "fanboi" thrown in randomly.
In conclusion: Opinions are hard to be discussed in posts like this. Its an idiot magnet. If I accidentally run a guy over, I'm a killer? Freaking hell! Moronicy all over the place.
If WoW sucks because its repetitive, then you hate MMO's in general. Its not a valid argument. I might as well claim I hate FPS's because I have to aim too much. I swear, idiots all over.

Of course this is all opinionated. I'm not trying to force anything down anyone's throat. I'm simply stating my opinion on the game for everyone else to see. That's what forums are for I believe.
I guess I had to tell you this even though it should be common sense. Anyhow, your holier than thou attitude is worthless.

WoW fanboi: "lolz 11.5 million customers, itz obviously da best"
So why is WOW the number one played PC game for almost 1100 days in a row? Why does it have a 60% market share in the MMO field and a newly -much hyped- Conan is at 3% and already falling? I don't think they use XFire in China (lol). Because it sucks ? LOL No ...because it is THAT good compared to the market of PC video games. Standards were raised by Blizzard - from SC to WC3 to Diablo 2 to WOW ....and no one can follow... Grtz to Blizzard. BTW I found this on the web.... interesting after 4 years don't you think ? ) http://www.amazon.de/Computerspiele-Games/s/qid=1216250552/ref=sr_nr_n_1?ie=UTF8&rs=300992&bbn=301129&rnid=541708&rh=n%3A300992%2Cn%3A301129 Wow sucks big? Yep it sucks ALL the blood out of the competition ..... LOL
It's the #1 game because it's a spoonfed MMO for the masses.
The classic things in most MMOS are there + superior UI and easymode gameplay.
What it lacks is any kind of depth or endgame besides geargrinding.

Wow has more depth than any other MMORPG out there.
The sheer power of polished worlds make the other MMORPG look like underdevelopped garbage compared to Wow.
And why shouldn't it, because the other companies lack the resources, money and game development Blizzard has shown in games like WC3, SC, Diablo and now WOW.
WOW put the existent MMORPG's and build upon it with a perfect working powerhouse that's called the Auction House (something UO didn't even have). READ a player's driven economy.
Put on top an incredible rich PVE dungeons game and a pure adrenaline tactical PVP system with at least GOOD animation and NOT a cut out figure with a stick in its ass (like the other MMORPG's)
.... And voila: you have a winner: 60% marketshare and putting all competition far behind.
Yes the masses play it and you do not like that. Who cares what you feel. The majority voting public is always right.
And with WOW people vote with their wallets. They PAY to play. 10.7 million in the world and 4.5 million in US/EU.

Just look at XFire.
I don't think you get it Vicksburg. What differentiates a fanboi and hater from everyone else is their total lack of the ability to see the bad or the good respectively of any particular game. No game is perfect or tailored for everyone so every game has flaws and parts they shine at.
What he's trying to do here is merely point out the flaws that he feels are present. The whole point is for debate and general possible improvements of the game and the genre. No doubt it's only one person's opinion but some share his sentiments and others don't.
WoW has some things going for it but in other areas it is deficient. PvP for example could use expanding. Even blizzard knows this that is why they are adding the new zone. If PvP was so perfect and they didn't listen to people like the OP who dislike it then it would not be added in.
A large part of the MMO genre's responsibility is giving gamers what they want. Although WoW 4 BGs and Arena is pretty pathetic for the PvP hardcores, it is a big step for a PvE orientated game like WoW to add it.
Unfortunately, although 4 BG and arena may be fun. Its is not enough for most of the PvP hardcores who've experience large scale MMO pvp in other games like DAOC. That's why people say the PvP is crap and yadda yadda.
I do agree with you the wow animations is good and the AH was a good addition and WoW is an innovator in many aspects but NOT in PvP. In PvP it has gone backwards from the massive feel of other games to basically kiling off world PvP, instancing everything and making the whole thing into an repeatable item grind.
People are sick of playing the same 4 BGs and arenas 829034832094 times. No doubt they are fun but they get old really fast.
Although WOTLK is adding new PvP content. 1 BG is pretty much very sad. Lake Wintergrasp seems promising but again it centres around the same item grind concept, with the get your loot ahd scoot idea. What they need are PvP achievements which are more unselfish and further the PvP progression.
The main problem is for a PvE centric game to do that, it's extremely hard.
The reason WoW has a large marketshare is its opiate for the masses, easy to pick up and pretty addictive especially PvE wise.
The other main factor is the lack of other good solid PvP alternatives. When one comes up you can be sure that WoW will either step up to the plate and start adding meaningful PvP or lose some of its market share.
People miss the good large scale quality PvP with progression and options. They are using their right to freedom of speech to state their opinions. Don't take it personally. Don't get mad. That's what makes it great.
If I accidentally run a guy over, I'm a killer? Freaking hell! Moronicy all over the place.
Somebody actually read this besides me and Fuzzylojik? LOL. Sorry dude, didn't mean to get that far off track.
Hehe np. Was fun Meanwhile..... yes anytime you kill something or some animal u are a killer, even by accident. By attempting to call that stand moronic my friend has showed your true colors.
killer (noun)
someone who causes the death of a person or animal.
Oh and by the way there is no such word as "moronicy". Pls read up before trying to justify other's terms as wrong and not fling insults around like a little kid.
Wow has more depth than any other MMORPG out there. I am sure there are mmos out there that has more depth then WoW. The sheer power of polished worlds make the other MMORPG look like underdevelopped garbage compared to Wow. Thats a bit exaggerating there ain't it? And why shouldn't it, because the other companies lack the resources, money and game development Blizzard has shown in games like WC3, SC, Diablo and now WOW. WoW was made with a relatively low budget. WOW put the existent MMORPG's and build upon it with a perfect working powerhouse that's called the Auction House (something UO didn't even have). READ a player's driven economy. WoW is not the first mmo, nor the last to utilize the auction house and having a player driven economy. Put on top an incredible rich PVE dungeons game and a pure adrenaline tactical PVP system with at least GOOD animation and NOT a cut out figure with a stick in its ass (like the other MMORPG's) Your joking, have you seen the thread comparing a WoW orc with a WAR orc. .... And voila: you have a winner: 60% marketshare and putting all competition far behind. Because it is built for masses. Yes the masses play it and you do not like that. Who cares what you feel. The majority voting public is always right. Wrong, the public is not always right. And with WOW people vote with their wallets. They PAY to play. 10.7 million in the world and 4.5 million in US/EU. So you are saying WoW is good because lots of people pay to play it? what?? Just look at XFire.
Wow has more depth than any other MMORPG out there.
LOL
The sheer power of polished worlds make the other MMORPG look like underdevelopped garbage compared to Wow.
No argumnt here. WoW is more polished then most games out there.
And why shouldn't it, because the other companies lack the resources, money and game development Blizzard has shown in games like WC3, SC, Diablo and now WOW.
I agree
WOW put the existent MMORPG's and build upon it with a perfect working powerhouse that's called the Auction House (something UO didn't even have). READ a player's driven economy.
I'd trade the Auction House for endgame and gameplay of UO anyday
Put on top an incredible rich PVE dungeons game and a pure adrenaline tactical PVP system with at least GOOD animation and NOT a cut out figure with a stick in its ass (like the other MMORPG's)
.... And voila: you have a winner: 60% marketshare and putting all competition far behind.

Ok now it's just the typical 10 million shout. It's an easymode spoonfed game that any 10 year old with down syndrome can pick up and play...that's why it's popular. It's also addicting.
But when I finally stepped back and saw the game I was playing I saw how shallow it was. Nothing but a geargrind with blizzard throwing stronger gear at you every xp.
No interaction with the world, pvp is an instanced controled joke, pve is good until the content is eaten up, and beyond that there's just quests that are more gear grinds. Games like UO provided nonstop action in the actual world. Guild vs Guild. Unpredictable atmostphere of fighting, player housing, superior crafting, and basically the freedom to do whatever you wanted whenever you felt like itetc, etc
I found that you're continually running on a treadmill that leads nowhere in WoW. There's no real payoff. i suppose many enjoy this type of gameplay, but not me. I want a game with more depth and reason behind leveling a character and WoW doesn't have that.
WoW fanboi: "lolz 11.5 million customers, itz obviously da best"
Stop forcing your goddamn opinion down our throats, and then claiming to be argumentative. You are not forced to read or answer anything here (including his posts). Indeed I am not. I am also stating my opinion because I choose to. You're not argumentative. You are not "discussing" anything. You are posting your opinion, which we can see by now is "non-negotiable". He listed a "short list of why" with 5 reasons and i dont see why he should negotiate about it. People can defend points of view and there is nothing wrong with it. What is there to defend? Its the truth. But like I said, games get repetitive. WoW is no exception. His points are invalid, simply because at the endgame, things are always a grind, no matter what game you play. You even stoop down several hundreds of levels by calling people "fanboi". Call someone a hater and he will answer you are a fanboy. Pointless discussion. Doesn't make any sense to me. Seriously. We don't care you think it sucks. We've seen the "WoW sucks" posts by now. All of them. They're all the same. Bla-di-bla. If you dont care why are you reading and answering here? Because I choose to do so. I guess that every 100 "I hate WoW because..." with the same woop-di-doo gives me an urge to reply. I seriously don't reply to every thread like this one. Basically, here's what a "WoW sucks" post is composed of: -Several dozens of "arguments" claiming it to be repetitive. -Offcourse it gets repetitive. Every game does. Especially MMO's. -Several weird replies stating "You have no arguments to counter mine", and usually "noob" and "fanboi" thrown in randomly. Basically, here's what a "WoW rules" post is composed of: -Several dozens of "arguments" claiming it to be awesome. --Offcourse its awesome. Every game does. If you think something is cool or boring at least tell us why and give some real contribution. How many "WoW rules" posts can you count? I'm sure you're done by the time you reach your 4th finger. People loving WoW (Or any other game for that matter) are too busy playing it. Add to that, they're usually troll posts countering a "I hate WoW" post, which offcourse, is also wrong. If WoW sucks because its repetitive, then you hate MMO's in general. Its not a valid argument. I might as well claim I hate FPS's because I have to aim too much. I swear, idiots all over. If WoW sucks as a MMORPG (many dont even agree he is a RPG) so RPG players want to share the reasons with his fellows. Again you are not forced to read, agree or answer anything they post. Besides many of them have seen the light already. Again, I never claimed to be forced somehow. I choose so. Wow not an RPG? Thats rich. It might not be as heavy as say, D&D p&p (Or rather: It 100% isn't as heavy as), but its an RPG nevertheless. And what is this "Light" you are referring to?

First of all, I'm far from arrogant. It is arrogant to post a discussion thread, containing an opinion that is non-negotiable. If I don't like a game, why would I discuss it with people that DO like a game? Tastes differ, after all? I don't like certain types of meat, why would I want to discuss that?

But hey, don't let me tell you what you have to post and why (Wouldn't want to either). Keep filling this forum up with these pointless "discussions" of yours. Humor me.
You know that Wow is the greatest MMORPG ever published?
It is the greatest because of number of players,
It is the greatest because of the sheer volume of very polished PVE content (dungeons, raids,...).Thousands of guilds track their status on websites and MILLIONS don't even succeed in viewing its PVE end content.
It is the greatest in PVP e-sport arena. NO other MMORPG comes even close to studied and balanced playing classes (tx to the millions of PvP fights in Arena and the way Blizzard analyses these fights). With the intro of "design your own" gear for competition Wow is now the number one hit in pure e-sports. Price money of thousands of dollars in tournaments all over the world.
It is the greatest because THOUSANDS of website contribute to further discuss, analyse, question the content, the balance, the lore, etc...
It is the greatest because Blizzard put the MMORPG format into the main stream media. Even comparing UO to it (played by 40.000 users these days) is a laugh. It's like saying Pac Man was better than CaD4.
----
You know what sucks means?
Sucks means when a game is rather unplayable because of the bugs or balance or wrong game designs. A game that is being PAYED to be PLAYED by so many, never sucks
Never can a game suck when 10.7 million subscribers PAY to further play it.
you LOVE Arena. I can not agree with only this part of what you say and below only cause it is not possible for a newer player just hitting 70 's or w/e and enjoying anything about going against a season 3 geared person. No matter what lvl of player skill he has he will be anialated for just exsisting near the same space as the geared person. That in my opinion is where blizz messed up badly but with rading gear and such they had no choice. So in essence the nail was in the coffin from the get go.. I just cant understand why they went in such a hardened lineare path. I personnally think they shot themselves in the foot cause soon you will get the EvE mentality of why bother starting now Ill never catch up. I tryed a few arenas and did not like it but I am sure that had to do with the fact that I was not in game for season 1and 2. So comming into the game to face gear that could kill me without anyone's avatar even being in it made it pointless to the point that I only log in to toss a few spells and see the pretty pixels now. 99% of the time im in bg's now I barely pay attention and only do it to try to make myself believe that I do want all the bullcraptastic gear.(till something better comes along) ]

WRONG oh SO WRONG and I can prove it !!!!!!! In just a few months time you can be very well geared in the new WoW ! Example !: My son made a Rogue from scratch 4 months ago. He made it to 70 just 7 weeks ago. What did he do? As of 60 he played a lot of BG's and leveled through some dungeons. He is now already good and has 2 season 4 brutal gears ! And he has even got this title of Challenger (rating 1740 in 3rd season of Vengeful) Stagger at EU Dragonsoul if you want to control it . Because it was a pure PVP character you can see it through its reputation bars, but he can do end raids without any problem. As a matter of fact my son is now leveling another (alliance) rogue to supplement our Alliance Arena 2 pala+hunter team for 3 vs 3. Started at the end of June, we expect this new character to be competitve at the beginning of september.... So a new player (that's good) catches up after about 3 months playing. 4 if you play slowly. Oh BTW this Stagger rogue raided yesterday without any problem up to the 4th boss of Zul Gurub. So ....THAT is exactly why Wow is soo good these days ! PS My son studies latin AND plays national football, so hardly he plays more than a couple of hours a day.
You're arrogant because you think your opinion and the typical garbage you spewed was "meaningful" while alluding to everyone else in the thread as not meaningful.

What's the problem... : I said you play the game from scratch for ... 2 to 3 months depending on your leveling and adventure speed. WOW has a very rich PVE content to enjoy this ride. )) - why should it beat 'the crap out of you" while leveling.
And only a few weeks after dinging for lvl 70 you can surely enter arena and the first raids of Kara.
Why should it not be fun to raid and do BG's between these few weeks BTW?
A full set of Merciless gear is only 40.000 BG points or you can even choose tokens from the raids now to have that gear. So YOU better read the posts.
Of course Wow is only about FUN - proof it is the number one played PC game for 3 years now.
I am sorry you didn't understand the techniques to get the gear for doing great in Arena.
And guess what .... the example I gave you showed it can be done in a very pleasent way. )

But I don't care because every time I can respond by telling Wow is played by the vast majority of MMORPG players and that a few Wow sucks posts are even fiurther proof of how good this game really is for all kind of players.
You must have quite a love/hate relationship with Wow and I suppose the feelng is mutual: WOW doesn't love you anymore, so get over this broken love affair and see the reasons behind your postings here.
Thinking that you can even influence ONE person is silly, because people play it because they like it.
And every mention of the word WOW is a reinforcement of its market position as the King of all MMORPG's.
So keep up the good work.
WOW sucks indeed all blood of the other new MMORPG's (unpolished short) lives.
You may not like it, but that's your problem, not of those other multi million paying customers.

Really quite sad Vicksburg... You say the OP's opinion won't even influence one person well clearly you can't get over it.. from what i can understand the OP doesn't seem to want to change the world and make everyone turn against WOW... they simply wanted to share their experience.. so if you could stop fanboi'ing it up and actually get over your absolute obsession with WOW you would realize that even WOW is open to public critique and you only do yourself and your game a disservice by being so fanatical you can't allow other people to share their opinions.
Yes WOW makes money and has a lot of subscribers so what... honestly thats really not what decides what is a good game.. So get over your undying love for WOW (oh and btw WOW doesn't have any feelings so your pathetic attempt at in some way hurting the OP's feelings with WOW not loving them really didn't hit home... sarcasm usually requires intelligence behind it..) and allow others to freely share their experiences.
And and BTW the reason i played WOW as long as I did wasn't because it was sooo amazing it was because there wasn't anything else out there... well guess what new things are coming, so please stop relying on the stupidity of more people=better game
It's the #1 game because it's a spoonfed MMO for the masses.
The classic things in most MMOS are there + superior UI and easymode gameplay.
What it lacks is any kind of depth or endgame besides geargrinding."
And your MMO of choice would be? I am curious. I see all these posts saying WoW is easymode and crap.
What would you have us play? Mind you, I have been playing MMO's since the days of original UO...wish I had gotten into Meridian 59, but missed that boat.
Let me know what you think I should play.

Currently I'm not playing any MMOs. I played WoW, Eve and then AoC. none of em kept me playing or were worth the subscription.
Honestly? I don't really care what you play. Where did I say I cared?
Thanks for giving me the power to choose for you though. It's quite flattering.

When arguments fail ...
Of course there are no arguments, because 60% of all the MMO community plays WOW.
PVP Arena is terrific. No hiding, no excuse. Heads are offered on a silver plate.
Raid content is terrific with an extreme diffulty towards the end (1% downs the last bosses).
The World of Warcraft is awesome and it shows by the minutes played on XFIRE.
I can't help it either Blizzard ownes the market by superior gameplay, animation, fighting scenes, dungeons.
So letting out ones frustration by creating "Wow sucks" threads on a Wow forum is understandable.
Have fun because you ain't seen notin' yet.
D-Day landings in WotLK in full Air-Land-Sea battles
Since two days the dwarves are working to blow the walls of Stormwind to prepare the sea invasion of Northrend.
God, what a game ))) !

Somebody actually read this besides me and Fuzzylojik? LOL. Sorry dude, didn't mean to get that far off track.
How is this any more meaniingful then what I posted you arrogant twat?
Of course this is all opinionated. I'm not trying to force anything down anyone's throat. I'm simply stating my opinion on the game for everyone else to see. That's what forums are for I believe.
I guess I had to tell you this even though it should be common sense. Anyhow, your holier than thou attitude is worthless.
Everything posted on forums are opinions genius, but thanks for clearing that up for all of us. You're a real hero to the thread

Oh and by the way there is no such word as "moronicy". Pls read up before trying to justify other's terms as wrong and not fling insults around like a little kid.

First of all, I'm far from arrogant. It is arrogant to post a discussion thread, containing an opinion that is non-negotiable. If I don't like a game, why would I discuss it with people that DO like a game? Tastes differ, after all? I don't like certain types of meat, why would I want to discuss that?
"Anyhow, your holier than thou attitude is worthless." - Not sure what you mean by that, but whatever.
"Everything posted on forums are opinions genius, but thanks for clearing that up for all of us. You're a real hero to the thread" -I guess the real difference here is that this thread is not an "opinion" (should have said that to begin with), but a "taste". Period. Also, if you think I'm posting crap, then I'm doing your post a favor.

That Guild Wars 2 login screen knocked up my wife. Must be the second coming!
Currently I'm not playing any MMOs. I played WoW, Eve and then AoC. none of em kept me playing or were worth the subscription.
Honestly? I don't really care what you play. Where did I say I cared?
Thanks for giving me the power to choose for you though. It's quite flattering.
