You started it and you enjoy BASHING on the greatest MMORPG game ever AND on its users.

But I don't care because every time I can respond by telling  Wow is played by the vast majority of MMORPG players and that a few Wow sucks posts are even fiurther proof of how good this game really is for all kind of players.

You must have quite a love/hate relationship with Wow and I suppose the feelng is mutual: WOW doesn't love you anymore, so get over this broken love affair and see the reasons behind your postings here.

Thinking that you can even influence ONE person is silly, because people play it because they like it.

And every mention of the word WOW is a reinforcement of its market position as the King of all MMORPG's.

So keep up the good work.

WOW sucks indeed all blood of the other new MMORPG's (unpolished short) lives.

You may not like it, but that's your problem, not of those other multi million paying customers.

First off, I'm responding to posts, not selfbumping to keep the thread alive.

'm noticing a trend.  The only defense anymore for WoW seems to be "10 million"  I wonder how people would feel if I said more people listen to nickelback so that makes it "the best" music.

Ya, you're right I have a love/hate relationship.  I played if for awhile.  Got sucked in, learned what a shallow pile of crap it was, then left.  I'm just leaving the warning for those who want an MMO that's more then a geargrind.

I'm just posting my opinion on the game...nothing more.  That's what forums are for.  But you're right I do get a little pleasure out of bashing this spoonfed MMO and the mouthbreathers still playing it.

Was Pre-BC PvP not good enough for you? I mean, you only had to sit your damned life away in BGs farming Honor so you could become High Warlord or Grand Marshall - that sh*t was painful.
Only now, you work for Gladiator status and the fastest mount in the game - what more do you want?
Lets get Orange items from PvP!

Now, I will admit to World PvP being dead, in terms of raiding capital cities. The reason is simple - no incentive to do so. These days, people are looking for rewards - city raiding doesn't provide that.
But come on, if you want to raid a city, what the hell is stopping you? You may not be successful on your own - but that's a whole different issue yeah?
But down to the main point, if you want a game strictly for PvP, get and stay out of WoW please.

I agree I'm glad they switch PvP rewards for PvP it does make a ton more sense.

Also agree with world PvP being dead but then it was hardly alive in the first place unless people were levelling.  There are no objectives and the only thing that blizz can seem to come up with is endgame world PvP objectives with PvE benefits or subpar end-game items.  For endgame world PvP to actually work there needs to be good incentives.

Yeah, WoW is a mainly PvE game and PvPers right now should stay away unless you really really enjoy arena and the 4 BGs.

Here's what you posted earlier:  Stop forcing your goddamn opinion down our throats, and then claiming to be argumentative. You're not argumentative. You are not "discussing" anything. You are posting your opinion, which we can see by now is "non-negotiable". You even stoop down several hundreds of levels by calling people "fanboi".

I underlined the important part for you.  Thanks for attempting to tell people how to post.  It was kind of cute.

I thought this board was all about opinions? What's wrong with mine then? Your words, bro. Also, I'm not on about everyone else. I'm on about you. Just you.

The forums are for opinion.  But this is how you started:  Let me attempt to post something meaningfull, opposed to everyone else and even the OP.

Read it, reread it, and then try to understand why noone is likely to take you seriously including me.

    Again, Ille say: ..........eh?.........

Reread the first line of your first post.  And keep reading it till you understand why you sound like an a-hole.

    And once more: ..............huh?...............

Forums are for discussions and opinions, not what  BizkitNL deems worthy for discussion.

Realize that forum boards aren't dedicated to the holier than thou arrogant twats only.

I won't say it a 3rd time. What are you on about?

Once again, reread your first sentence in your first post.  Keep doing it till you get it

    2.  Arenas - A failed attempt at an Electronic sport.  Even most players hate it.  Blizzard won't give it up so it's left as the major focus of the game.  Forget raiding Orgrimmar or Stormwind! hop in this cage for endless hours.
    3.  The world is a lie.
    4.  You either PvP or PvE, there's no in between.  The gear you get in pve won't help you in pvp and vice versa.  At one point you could do group dungeons and pvp and both aspects were rewarded.  not anymore.
    5.  There's just no meaningful endgame.
    6.  Easily the worst community of any game I or you will ever play.  Yes I can't predict the future, but I can safely say a community couldn't get worse.  I'm talking to all you "leet kiddies"  "nooblars" "noobs" "L2play"  If you ever venture to the WoW forums or even only in a city you'll see what I mean.  Any question or post is usually met with,
LOL L2play noob, The parroted: Blizzard 10 million customers noboday cares lolz (which explains their pathetic customer service as well)"you just ain't leet in arenaz its for da skilled"
Thanks for reading.  You'd thank me if you only knew.
Edit:  Apparently some of the mouthbreathers responding to this are taking this as law.  Well I'm flattered, but this is just my opinion on the game much like everyone has an opinion.  I don't need you to tell me it's my opiniont.  I realize that.  Thanks

You know even though this post turned into exactly what he said with the "you're a noob", "L2play" quotes, he is correct. I have found myself not playing as much and not even wanting to. Don't get me wrong I love Blizzard and what they have done with their different universes, but it has gotten to the point for me, and this is just my opinion, to where I feel so obligated now to play it. It was fun while it lasted, but now I went back to some old school Diablo 2, WC3, and also looking for a new MMO to play, one that does not get boring at level 70 and want you to BG, Arena, or Raid for a billion hours a week. Although, I'll get bitched at at probably trolled, but whatever, I solely agree with you man.

As a matter of fact give me some suggestions on a new MMO to play. For those of you who can stick with WoW and make time and peace to play it then more the power to you, I honestly wish I could balance all of it, but with a full time job and then college in the fall, it is no use in losing money, dropping grades, and not getting out as much, it is not worth it. Good luck to those who stick around. Peace.

    The End.

Trammies need to stop polluting the MMORPG landscape. They already have enough games in which to emote hugs and sell garbage by the banks.

Gratz for keeping your OWN post alive.

Lets me give the chance of saying that WOW is by far the most played PC game for almost 1100 consecutive weeks.

And Blizzard has with WOW a 62% marketshare of the MMORPG market.

:)) Keep up the good work.

WoW does not have 10.7 million subscribers.  I get sooooooooooo sick of reading this.

    10.7 million accounts != 10.7 million subscribers.

    Well YOU ARE WRONG !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Blizzard has 10.7 ACTIVE million subscribers worldwide. NOT ACCOUNTS.

    LEARN to READ Mister.

Blizzard gives the exact definition of what they consider ACTIVE subscriber accounts on their website.

AND NO they DO NOT include accounts that are no longer acitve or not being paid for in the last month.

    LEARN TO READ !!!!

Besides Vivendi has published audited finincial report that confirmed the 1.2 BILLION dollars revenu of 2007 AND the active subscriptions of 10.7 million worldwide in Jan 2008.

So take Xfire stats as a sample: WOW is number one as a PC game being played and compare the hours played with other MMORPG's.

You can see that a recently launched game of Conan is 20 times less played. So the 4.5 million western accounts would translate into 220 K active players of Conan.

The stats of Xfire show a 57% marketshare of played hours for WOW.

About the same figure as http://www.mmogchart.com/Chart7.html as the market share of PAID subscription MMORPG. which is clocked at 62% !!

The difference is only due to the fact that FREE games like GW are NOT counted in this latest model.

So I AM FED UP with guys saying that we and Bliizard lie.

because AND the selling charts lie, Vivendi lies, MMORPGCHART lies, XFire lies, Amazon lies.

NO Sir YOU are just too HARD headed to recognize the facts WOW is the KING of MMORPG.

Now people are talking about it. And so on and so forth.  Are we clear?  I haven't self-bumped one time.

    WoW sucks because

    1. cartoon characters
    2. $50 dollars for expansion
    3. Unbalanced classes
    4. Destroyed Lore
    5. Loss of PvP
    6. No longer Horde vs Alliance but Alliance & Horde vs real evil.
    7. Too many people play it
    8. Boring
    9. Designed for people with less than 100 IQ

...I could go on but don't feel like it...

yeah but that gives me the opportunity to promote Wow as the MOST played PC game of all  time -- with statistical proof.

While you only speak of your own negative attitude towards a game that is simpley the best and most played game in these last 3 years.

World of Warcraft is THAT good. It can't be beaten by a  thread of an ex lover because it stands miles above the others in hours being played.

I don't think I'm getting through to you here. Probably because all you are after is holding my bad english writing against me. I'lle attempt this one last time. I suggest you do NOT quote my 1st post yet again. This one here, is the all new version. Here goes.

Posting a non-negotiable opinion is pointless. Why? Because what is there to discuss? You might as well have posted "WoW Sucks", and that's it. Nothing more. What can we talk about in a post like that? Absolutely nothing. Such a post is just a flame-magnet. You are simply trying to step on people's toes, nothing else.

Now, a meaningfull discussion would be, for instance, why WoW is so bland and repetitive at the endgame, and how we would like to see it differently. That would be discussing.

Take a good look at not only this forum, but the WoW forums as well. If I didn't know any better, I'd say you write every single "WoW sucks" thread out there, simply because it's all the same bla-di-bla.

Anyhoo, that's it. Now on to spending my time better than in here, with you.

    Eve>Wow :-D

Yes eve has a horrible UI, yes its slow paced, but its deeeep. And you know if someones good at it they arent just some 10 year old kid with nothing else to do, they are usually damn clever. And the PVP is amazing, theres so much to lose it makes it REAL. But just like pre-aos UO its not for the faint hearted, it takes balls to go into battle knowing you could lose a days/weeks work getting your ship.

I agree that wow is commercial over-simplified filth.  I leveled a char to lvl 56 and i cant be bothered to grind anymore, it might as well be a single player game as the player interaction is very limited. And theres no reward/punishment in PVP.

My argument maybe with the whole of western culture rather than just WOW, its about people wanting to be spoonfed accessable crap, just like all those trashy TV shows. Some of us like to be challenged and use our brains, rather than pay $15 a month to do the same thing over, and over, and over again.

I think WOW has its place, and yes i too am one of those boring ex-UO players who moans about how no MMO can live up to UO. But for those of us searching for a replacement to pre-aos UO who can blame us for looking at the most popular game out there and being sorely dissapointed.

Eve has its quirks but CCP are the only MMO company i have seen that refuse to sugar-coat it for the masses. The big rewards are in dangerous space, so it encourages pvp and politics.

Yes i know i havent reached "end-game" in wow, and i get the impression that it is quite alot more fun than grinding, but I'm too old to waste my time with what i consider bad game design. If im paying for a game i should enjoy it without having to suffer hundreds of hours of boredom.

So.......i guess for me it comes down to deciding between the britney spears of MMORPGs or something a little deeper..............and cleverer.

I still play UO on player run servers, UOGamers:Hybrid is just like old school UO with 2000 players peak. So you don't HAVE to play WoW and moan about how great UO was, and IMO Eve is a good alternative.

    WoW is for kids.

Hmm, I manage to have a full brutal set and a nice PvE setup (Tier 6) while only playing for around two hours a day on average, I actually enjoy arena, and spend no time in battlegrounds.

But hey, maybe that's because I know what I'm doing.

I seriously doubt that you are capable with 2 hours (on average) of play time to accomplish both pvp and pve.  Even leet guilds spend 3 to 4 hours raiding, some bgs can take an hour or longer and arena is about 2 to 3 for the hour (possible 4).  Sure you can mix it up...arena one day, bg the next...raid the day after...but even with the averages you were mentioning, raiding for 2 hours (even if daily for the entire week) probably won't yield you much in the way of equipment.  Over what period of time?

Just because a game does not fullfill your gaming desires, does not mean it sucks.  Most certainly Wow > any other game mainly because it's playerbase dwarfs any other game.  Pretty obvious conclusion.   Wow is not the perfect game, far from it, but Blizzard has certainly done enough things right to dominate the genre.

I play Eve too and enjoy that game as well.  I don't bother to pvp in Wow as Eve is a better mix in that area for me.  I don't complain about Wow though, there are a lot of players that enjoy that type of pvp.

Some games though really scream for criticism, like AoC.  When a game like that allows players to rush to end game only to have little content there for them to play and most of that broken.  That deserves the bashing they get.

But I still find Wow fun to play, there is just so much content to experience in the game.

    Thank you, Thank you!

I personally love WoW, though I have recently moved from it to look into AoC, and back to DDO (which I enjoyed as well).  I will go back to WoW, when I'm ready to do so, and I will enjoy it again and again.

This intolerance for a MMO compared to another is just childish.  If a player has such animosity towards a certain genre of play style, then my best suggestion is to stay far from it.  There's no reason to blabber on and on about a game that you dislike...those that like it really don't find it necessary and/or appropriate.

There are MMOs that I dislike and I'm happy to share my personal reasons why I dislike them, but I will not do so to steer/veer someone away from them simply because I dislike them.  My reasoning behind them will most likely be play style, user interface, genre ( I dislike most technology-based games and prefer fantasy-based), and the graphic qualities brought to the table.

My rant is over....but know this....if I say EVE sucks...does it really?  Maybe to me, but you? Point provided.

As a  WOW FANBOI you need to learn to spell Blizzard right LMAO!

No doubt wow is doing well, its easy to learn for the kiddies and decent PvE combined with lack of options for PvPers at the moment.
