i see numerous post telling "PVE only" lovers that WAR is NOT THE GAME FOR YOU. Will you guys please stop, here is an interview where the developer talks about how you can go the entire game PVE.
http://www.tentonhammer.com/node/39378
now you can be quiet about it and stop making things up. and for the impatient he starts breaking it down at about 1:15 seconds into the video. so be patient and watch it from the beginning. what bothers me is people are giving a false impression/reviews of the game and turning PVE only guys away. stop scaring potential subscribers!

I agree. I hated the mere thought of PVP until I played WAR. Now I can't wait to get back into the fight.

Sadly, 'I touch myself' is gone.
Mne eto nado kak zuby v zadnitse.
I remember when i first started playing doac way back and started getting into guilds in the game and they brough me to a relic raid , at the time i was no way a pvper at all , boy did it give me the spark .
all i can say is that even if your not into full blown pvp warhammer and mythic set it up in a way it's easy to take part of it casually or whenever u feel like it .
i think they do it right , taking a keep is so much fun and more of course
lol. You can't tell people what to say and think, did you ever think that if there are so many anti-pve reviews that maybe the PvE isn't that good? xD

But compared to other games the PvE is seriously lacking... and not everyone who has experienced zerg PvP likes it or stays interested in it after a few days/weeks of it...
..Cake..
that was a great video. Thanks for sharing
People who have to create conspiracy and hate threads to further a cause lacks in intellectual comprehension of diversity.
After my experiences in Warhammer, i can firmly say they've done a great job of integrating enough pve into the game to satisfy those who want it, but the game is heavily pvp "oriented". That doesn't mean we don't want you pve guys around, we actually like the idea of converting and corrupting you to the dark side of pvp
Ok, Ok, Ok... the PVE side of WAR is decent. But maybe the PVE on the game you are currently playing is better (othat than the PQ stuff). But the game is not about PVE.
lol, of course i can't tell peop[le what to say. there are a lot of "know it all from the preview weekend" people saying there is little PVE here , maybe you should try EQ2 or WOW, when a PVE lover ask is this the game for me. that all im saying, not to physcaly really stop saying it, just posted the video to show they are wrong and giving a false impression of this great game.
Ohmahgod. I was there when that interview was taking place, and wondered what asshat would wear such a yellow shirt, even though I love yellow.
You can make out my voice in the background >_>, we were doing a scenario.
And I'm pretty sure that the Chosen that runs in at the end is the one that I solo'd down when it caught my rune priest all by its lonesome.
That's it, I'm eating a cookie.
Playing: Single-player games
Awaiting: Stargate, Star Trek, assuming the burnout has passed
Retired: WoW, BC, LotRO, DDO, CoH/V, EVE, WotLK, WAR
Not for PvE players? Are we talking about Warhammer Online? I'm a confirmed PvE player who tried WAR this Preview Weekend and I had a blast. Public Quests add a nice little touch to PvE, in fact. But, I also got into the PvP (RvR) part and that was fun too. With both types of player being able to contribute to the overall effort, it could be that WAR can actually integrate both styles of play. The thing I like is that the RvR has a PURPOSE in WAR. In fact, the endgame IS RvR, much like it was in DAoC but much more developed. The Battlegrounds (Scenarios) actually MEAN something in game terms. This differentiates them entirely from WoW's BGs which are just fun PvP contests that don't really affect the world at large.
No, WAR is not just for PvP lovers. WAR let's both styles coexist and have fun. And the PvP in WAR starts VERY early too, so you can actually LEARN how to PvP before you get to the top lvls and have to compete with uber-geared vets.
Now, I won't tell anybody to stop expressing their views, but the PvE in WAR is on a par with genre standards, and even adds a few nice evolutionary touches.

Oh man I that sucks, I so wanted that title. But yeah I like the energy that guy has. It was a great interview and it just made me more excited about the game. Its nice you can lvl up any way you want. Unlike WoW's PvP that gives you honor and WSG Marks and what-not to buy gear.

yeah it was very cool, on the 7th i plan to check out some things they added, hopefully high res texture , different lighting, more character customization and all. but im not gonna dive to deep into leveling a toon. i will wait for head start. thank god this game came along so quickly after the conana disappointment. thank you mythic.
It is now......."Ow my eye!" I think the "i touch myself" may have touched on too many sensitive area's, lol

lol, i guess they didn't want parent who have younger kids playing to get offended
LEAVE WAR ALONE!!
Awesome post! All that anti-PVE sentiment was starting to turn me off, but you have revived my eagerness for this game

Don't bank on being able to level without doing PvE quests; RvR experience is laughable. You will spend a lot more time in a certain tier if you try to just RvR (scenarios and world RvR) than you would if you quested and did RvR. I'm not saying you can't do it, just that it will take a considerably longer if you go that route.

there is a lot of PvE content in the game, why does everyone think there is'nt? look at all the tome unlocks there are to do, plus you can do the quests from all three areas.
WAR is for everyone wether you are a pvp player or pve player.
All just play the game and decide for yourself.
As I posted in another thread....
I LOVE PvE and when I came into the Preview Weekend...I LOVED WAR. There was plenty of items and delicacies to keep me occupied (and though, I only really tested these PvE theories up to rank 15 on 3 toons (Spread across Order and Destruction)). I was more than satisfied with the content and had ample opportunity to explore the wildness that was both WAR's pvp and pve. I loved both (and this surprised me because I had never been a HUGE pvp fan....but the combination...the assimilation of these two things into a game (not just a queue or separate instance)...a world...made it awesome for me.
In the interview with Mythic in PC gamer they said their main focus is PvP. That doesn't make the PvE bad but the focus is PvP. And it is hard to make both funy and balanced.
So it's not only fpr PvP players but expect that they will be a lot more than the PvE players.
WAR has much better pve than WoW. Nothing is as mind numbingly boring as questing in WoW, and raiding is equally as bland. It's a good game to play while getting drunk though
LOL! I agree!
WoW was always great while intoxicated. I think it had something to do with the mishaps that occurred while grouping (as I always tended to be a support class/healer). In example, I woke up one early, early morning...keyboard key-prints in my forehead....and when I logged on that very next a.m....I was reminded horribly of an failed group. Bits and pieces of the night came running back to me...but it wasn't until a group member msgd me the next day about what I was doing...and that I had run out of the group and straight for the boss, taunting and cursing as I did....I couldn't help but continue this love for drinking while playing.
I don't think PvE is lacking as much as it's just typical cookie-cutter. I think WoW's is better (more to do when PvE'ing) , but I liked War's PvE more than LotRO, AoC, and Vanguard (of the MMO's I've played lately).
What I like is that you can do PvE, RvR, or PQ's, depending on what's boring you at the moment, and yet still advance.
