    Alright, well let's set up the account and see if that helps,
    Head over to Mythic and setup the account and use the digital cd key to activate and validate the retail purchase (which starts the clock on my free month).

    Alright well I have to go to work, I will try to contact mythic when I get there......
    Oh wait, mythic doesn't have support forums for warhammer.... mythic knowledge base has no mention of any downloading problems what-so-ever.
    Let me try and call them.

    OK, sigh so back to support page to ask a question.
    "Mythic / EA Games
    I downloaded the digital version of the game and setup / validated a warhammer account. I am using the EADM to download the game, once the game reach 100% for extraction the files refuse to unpack as intended. I recieve "Unpack Failure" message. Please respond."
     
    "Thank you for submitting a support ticket, our staff will try and answer any questions you have within the next 24 hours"
     
    ARE YOU F****** KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?!?!@?!!?
     
    You release a game, in retail box and digital download form, give your customers NO way to contact you with any useful information on the other end, no forum medium to connect to other users who MIGHT have the same issue, make us wait 24 hours for a answer that MAY or MAY NOT help us, in which case we have to ask another question requiring ANOTHER 24 HOUR WAIT.
    Sigh, this is ridiculous I should have known better than to buy the damn thing.....



    "Extract".... "Unpack Failure" ---> Check if you have enought free space on your hard drive. If you have enought then the file is corrupt, just redownload it. this are 2 first things to try when you have an issue with a downloaded game.

     I've always found download managers made by websites (ign, ea, etc.) unstable and quickly put together. I'd recommend using a download manager which is actually made for downloading, not as some kind of commercial... I suppose they did add a way to download it via your 'webbrowser'? Just use a trustworthy downloader then (Bitcomet).

    It's always advisable to use download managers for big downloads, EA got that right, just got to fix theirs...

    Yeah, pretty much as me giving up on the first preorder as GOA did not offer any whatsoever response to my issues in a month time.

    One better hope that one doesn't encounter any serious issues in the future because as it stands now the support on WAR is not likely to be able to handle more then a few thousand players. Is it? Then just prove me wrong.

    Oh no doubt the support for WAR is the shittest for any MMO i have ever played hands down.

     

    However as stated I did get the problem fixed the day I made the post, I had to do it all on my own, because also as stated the support for War is H O R R I B L E !!!

    If the issue was with the EADM, then how is the support for Warhammer the game shitty?  I've had nothing but fast responses when submitting things in-game about the game, and not about the EADM that they have no control over.

    So I think what you meant to say is "EA has the worst support for their download manager ever" :p

    Your download was crappy thats not Mythic's fault especially when most people who download from D2D haven't had any problem.  There are multiple ways to contact customer support everyone and Jesus are using email which means your unlikely to get any real help.  Honestly you bitch moan and cry over a digital download anything could of happened during that download that is not Mythic's fault. 

    I've had nothing but great customer support experiences from Mythic but then again each their own.  Some people just like a reason to blame everyone and god for problems that just tend to happen when your dealing with internet downloads.

    btw GOA & Mythic are not the same company so you can't really blame Mythic for GOA being shitty you can however write in non rant letters praying they push GOA's button to step up to the plate they've been shitty for years.

    Please Refer to Doom Cat with all conspiracies & evil corporation complaints. He'll give you the simple explination of..WE"RE ALL DOOMED!

    I stopped using the EA Download Manager after Battlefield 2142 / Battlefield 2 downloads.

    I don't approve of it and don't think EA should be in the download distribution at all unless it is through Steam or some othe distributor.

    WAR support is fine in game, and anything sent to them directly.

    EA support though... Different story. If you ever get directed to EA, prepare for a long wait. I've emailed WAR 3 times and gotten a response within 24 hours each. The 24 hour mark on my email to EA has passed and I still have not gotten a reply.

    It has absolutely nothing to do with anything. The problem was with the EADM which I fixed on my own. EA has no support for it at all you cannot contact them, I did not use D2D to get the game I got it from EA at the source.

    The problem was not the Download but the program itself.

    EA had no support or way to contact them on the matter all you could do was attempt to find your answer from the knowledge base out of a pool of several post NOT related to your issue OR you could submit one yourself which would never be looked at.

    When calling EA about this matter your directed to mythic's website to submit a "ticket". Which I did, lets see how many days has it been now 5. So 5 days and I just logged into the site.... yeah not answered yet.

     

    So 5 days to ask mythic a question and no response.... so yeah mythic's customer support for WAR is shit. EA support on their downloader is shit and pretty much if you have a problem with this game anytime while your playing it... you submit your "ticket" and maybe in 5 days they will respond if not well you get the idea.

    It is shit case closed.

     

    I like WAR I have been playing the hell out of it, but it still doesn't stop the FACT that mythic AND EA's customer support is SHIT!

    Yeah now their in game support may be ok, I wouldn't have known that at the time because I couldn't get into the game at the time to ask anything. So who knows.

    I do know I will never contact them for anything ever again, If I get stuck in game, ill just delete the character anything is better than trying to deal with them.

    I was told my response would be answered in 24 hours... but it has been 5 days.

    Anyway It doesn't really matter now, I got in game.
