I agree about the missing release dates part. Anyone still following DarkFall can't be THAT concerned about release dates. I mean come on... we started hearing about DarkFall coming out BEFORE SWG, WoW, and EQ2. If we are still here now... the release date isn't going to be that big of a deal.

However, IF the game is a coin flip. Meaning some think the game is good and it has potential, and others think the game is a POS... THEN these quotes will be used time and time again. Seen it too many times with every other MMO for it to not be the case here.

And there are no problems. The beta will be short and end shortly after. The game is feature complete and doesnt need beta testing like for example WAR did.
I don't know about.. "No Beta-Testing".. but honestly, its been in development forever, meaning they have a Lot of things worked out. These people love the concept of the game, its their dream game that they are making after all.
They are also not on a strict schedule or being rushed by investors, or having ideas forced into their game for money, for that matter. They are pretty much their own boss, and decide when they think its ready and good to go.. and thank fuck for that.
I don't care what anybody says about this game being vaporware or pathetic. Guess what, I have faith that I will enjoy this game very much when it is released. If you still don't like it by then, oh well, have fun elsewhere or I'll enjoy slaying you in-game otherwise.

Why would they care about this kind of post when there are other forums that are filled with them? Aventurine does not care about PR with any gaming sites, they said a long time ago any gaming site could come, but Aventurine would not provide for them. They could have come, but they did not. Now Aventurine is close to release (late 08, Q1 09 more likely), and they are a bit busy. There was a beta image that i will not link (its a leak) that showed some names from the beta (chat box was up and quite clear), and one of those people was a member on Forumfall. so it is not a fake beta, just a very small one. They only need open beta to stress the servers, which takes a few days (public beta). They only need a few people to test their features and make sure they work.

I will have to agree with you on this, the pet system is a great example. The pet system was advertised on their _OFFICIAL_ website FAQ and now its gone and they even stated they removed it completely.

I'm not worried about the features that they state are removed completely... that is the nature of all MMOs.
What I am worried about is what features will be missing that we haven't been told about; especially since Tasos has been claiming for quite awhile now that DarkFall is feature complete.
If OPEN Beta ever comes out we will be able to find out for ourselves... however, it's looking less and less likely that even OPEN Beta will be happening in 2008. Oh well, there is always 2009; which is coming SoonTM
