I guess I am one of the few that like the looks of the character models.  Although I also like the looks of the models in TCoS.  Not all of us want realistic models and not all of us want WoW models either.  Somewhere in the middle is great.

    It's a Jeep thing. . .

    I feel epic failure.

    That's all he ever posts.

Is it? First time for me.

Maybe you think this will be a great game, I don't.

May the force be with you...

To each his own I suppose. The real problem I have with Ab is that every post he posts he somehow compares the game to SWG. This game isn't going to be SWG and it will never be SWG.

Well, SWG was an excellent Star Wars game, the massive changes are what ruined it. I'm all for new innovations and gameplay, but sometimes, using what works is a better bet. BioWare is an awesome game console company so I know they have a lot of heart when it comes to story driven content. However, history has proven in the MMO market that story driven makes games feel too linear. WAR is an excellent example of why linear gameplay leads to boring replay very quickly.

SWG was a success because it was a sandbox game, open and diverse. I'm not saying SWTOR will not be a good game, but from the sound of it, it won't draw SW fans too it like SWG did. So your right, SWTOR is not SWG 2, which is probably the biggest mistake they could have made.

The biggest mistake they made was by this game not being SWG2?

Tell me you dont actually believe this pile of horse chit that you posted.

I dont know what movies you were watching, but the inclusion of characters such as Uncle Owen were just for background purposes. They were either killed or forgotten... about as fast as their  2 lines of dialogue in the movies.

    Star WARS is about action.

And that doesnt mean the action of Uncle Owen pulling his crusty pink panties out of his arse, as he is tilling a field.

Tradeskills/ents/docs had no business being a major class in a Star Wars game. You sure as heck dont revolve your adventuring classes around them to provide those non-adventuring folks "content". Adventurers wanna be out killing/questing/etc...not standing in line every few hrs.

An adventurer wants to kill/quest for his items as well...not spend his time saving nickles/dimes so he can buy it at the store down the street. Let alone have to do it a second/or more time(s) due to the item decay crafters like to have... forcing folks to give them repeat business.

There is no place for sims in an adventure game...pity some folks just cant fathom it,. That way they could try to get their gamestyle introduced into a game where it is appropriate.

Instead of keep trying to saddle an adventure game with it.

    /beat dead horse some more

Give it up already vets...you didnt get SWG2. So could ya STFU about it already?

Thanks for your OPINION.  The non-adventurer classes and those that played them made the game unique and fun and MMO developers would do well to take note and bring them back, IN MY OPINION.  I never put a single skill point in Entertainer or Merchant, but I truly enjoyed the interaction with them.

The problem with the genre (once again IN MY OPINION) is that it has become too solo-friendly and the developers of this game are following the same path.  From what I've read, SWTOR is nothing more than a single-player RPG with multitude of players on a common server.

Personally, I'll pass.  Sad too as I am a long time Star Wars fan and was hoping for something deeper and more community driven.

    Have fun!!

Their body shape is all wrong and too comic book like and all their clothes look like they're skin tight spandex and their faces lack any detail. I hate the way they all stand too, again like some comic book character.
The weapons all look like fisher price shite and wayyy too big even now. Like in SWG all the weapons were normal size and you could still see the detail and what weapon they were using and if that wern't enough it had 3D menus you could examine and scroll across the weapon. You don't need these over sized retarded toy looking weapons to make something look kool.... just ends up looking retarded.

The problem is the further these go unchanged into development the more unlikely they are to change.

lol the doubters are gonna be so freakin pissed when they find out this game is actually really good and they end up playing it. Anyone else catch the game play leak from the play tester recently? It’s gone now. Sounds like this game could really take the market like a nuclear holocaust. Can’t wait till they make some of the details this guy blogged about public. LOL @ every game out and yet to come, you have no idea what is about to hit you. Oh and that admriker guy was full of BS. Everything he said is completely fabricated, hence why it was removed.

    I gotz a 300,000 BTU WTFBBQ!

I never said the game should copy SWG and I never said the game would suck. I made the comparison to SWG's more realistic character models and weapons because that is the only other Star Wars mmorpg out there. I'm saying that I think the comic book like character models and the toyish looking weapons look really crap and I'd prefer it if they looked more natural rather than cartoony and ghey.

Right now ToR is the only hope for the genre and as character models are a big part for me, I don't want to not like the game right from the get go like Lotro or Vanguard or Everquest 2 which I all hated purely down to nasty looking character models.
