dude, read teh crap going on in your own thread and try that again....seriously...

Yes, this thread is hilarious! It reflects the vast majority of this forum, a bunch of moderator-mommy protected carebears. The people who I'm looking for have and continue to contact me.

Your continues crying about griefers and pkers just helps me keep the thread alive and get the attention of the right people! Thanks for the help!

So that legend is growing bigger in your own mind by the minute?

You related to that other self delusional legend Zytx? You know the CEO of M.I.N.E. Inc, the un-documented "company" that is going to get rich selling in game resources for DnF and still biggest supporter of DnL?

What the griefers fail to realise is that what they are doing is actually no different than interrupting a sports event by stealing the equipment, crashing a party and ruining someone's house, ruining a hunters time by deliberatly scaring off the wildlife.

The end result is the same, ruining someone else's past time, just to get kicks for themselves.  They justify it by saying that since its not "real" then it doesn't matter, because the people are too attached to thier toons.

The reality is that ruining anything that someone has put time into will piss them off.  Regardless of whether or not its real-life or online.

So long, and thanks for all the fish!

    Hey. Lay off.

Either way, real or not, the person is spending time on this. I don't see how because it cannot be physically touched it is worth less to a person's enjoyment than watching a football game that gets interrupted by someone unplugging the television.

I think what I find hillarious here is the fact that anyone is trying to argue with a post on a forum.  It's not like you're going to get the author to stop and think about his post and be like... Aw man... what have I done???.. He's an asshole just like everyone else on here defending the fact that being a douche bag in a game is not a reflection of their offline self.   Go right ahead and create a community full of assholes,  if that's the company you prefer to keep go for it.

I'll give you props for underlining a major point about me, I don't give a flying fuck and never will (about internet bullshit).

Where you fail, as the rest, is mixing up reality with computer gaming. Poor you. But like I said, at least you understand that I complete don't give a flying fuck what emotionally and socially disturbed people say.

someone else: you stole someones stuff?

you: yeah, but it's ok he's socially disturbed

Aside from that hopefully (if the game doesn't bomb) there were be enough non reds in game to go red hunting.

I am surprised at how much retard can fit in one thread. And yet again, it seems to always come from the "Wolf"/PK/Griefer side of the fence.

Haha, I love I how I make one reply and get 470450345354 lulzworthy replies. Thanks!

Also, thanks for your supportive bumps!

You, and the majority of  the carebear and unhealthly loving pixle community of MMORPG.com are so f'king helpful (sorry, don't want to mod evade too much of your PG enviorment too much). I honestly thank you and I mean it.

I realize that this is a completely carebear  driven website but because of its domain name and subject it still gets the wide range of attention, which is why I thank you so much. The reason why so many carebears keep this topic alive is the reason our community continues to get the righte attention! Thank you!

This is truly and honest a thankful and lulzworthy topic and message. Too bad 90% of you reading and replying here don't realize my honesty.

I would call myself "a care bear".    Full looting and open PvP scares me.

    That said...

When the vast majority of current mmorpg's cater to the 'carebear' why can't the "carebears" let the "Griefers" have thier own game and forum?

Darkfall is a game for pk'ers and pvp'ers.   Full looting!   ok?  So why are the "carebears" even on in this forum?   If anything they should be thrilled that the "Griefers" are getting a place to play  and talk amongst themselves.

Bunch of spoiled little kids who want it all their way and for themselves if you ask me.

You see, I love you man. You understand my, ours,  gamestyle and I fully understand your gamestyle. That's my personal view, but you also seem like the type of a guy who can deffirentiatte (spelling, I'm buzzed) between reality and gaming, which I fully respect. I have completely no problem with people who enjoy different type of games then me, such as WoW, EQ, WAR, LOTRO, etc, because I know it's just gaming and people have different views. I give you props, you play your game, and I play my game. That's all there is to it. People seem to get way too involved with internet, which is where I find a real issue.

I wish more people could understand that, but as I said (don't take it wrong way), I like it how MMORPG.com is very triggger carebear, because it automatically gives my community the attention it needs. Hope you can understand.

    Have fun! :)

I really love reading this thread! Griefer are poeple who pay as much for the game I play and who uses game mechanics to enjoy the game (of with they payed the same as me!) the best way they can. Who am I or anyone else to say that they should not?

Most griefer I meet are nice and great poeple to talk with. You have the once in a while teen who thinks he is the big guy, but this is normaly not true. Infact if you want to learn to fight in any game, best poeple to ask are the griefer as they are in general one of the better fighters and most would actualy not mind to help you. If however you ask them ingame, do not wear anything, just in case they kill you :P perrsonly I am not sure yet, I might actualy become part of a strongly PvP focused guild this time.

Well true, I mean if you remove the idea in your mind that there are other "actual" people playing and just mow em all down I can understand what would make a total rampage enjoyable.  I guess i've really never thought about it that way.  Hm...

Oh you're all so righteous. So high and mighty.

Warfare, is not fair. If you want to win, you use what ever tactics are at your disposal despite how cowardly or scumbag-ish they might seem.

I don't stroke my epeen when I kill a player significantly weaker then me. I just laugh at the hilarity of it all. I enjoy making people squirm, struggle, scream. I get kicks out of ragequiters, but I get even more satisfaction out of making a Griefer themselves ragequit.
I for one would love a forum where my constant foul language and harrasment will be encouraged and countered with more cursing and harassment. It'll be like Forum PvP! -giggle-

thegriefer.net, I'll make sure to keep an eye on that so I can become a dedicated member once its good to go. =)

Back when I first discovered BBS's (around 1991-92), the HPAV and warez systems sometimes had a forum called "War Zone" (or something similar).  It was used for exactly what you're describing except not about games.  I was around 14 years old and thought it was fun for a week or two.  Then it just began to get repetitive and dull.  Even at 14 I remember thinking it got childish after a while.

Believe me, it's really not all you have it built up in your head to be.

    @ OP

I was on youtube looking for some DF vids to find these awesome features that fanbois spam about in every thread, and one of the more recent ones ( 4 or them ) is a podcast from HOGG.  I 've never heard of them but you should probably check them out as they seem to fit the description of the people you are looking for, or would they be considered competition?

    Part 1:

They are quite entertaining........ part 3 from 6:00 to the end is their humorous opinion on the DF community and a very accurate prediction.

I'm sorry to hurt your feelings online. What do you know about my education? Haha. :)

Hey guys, I am back. I'm being rather busy so the project is taking longer than I expected.

Since NDA is lifted, I was in the beta from the beginning. The game is currently failed as far as PvP (including conquest GvG) and that's coming from NDA restricted Belphy here!

If anyone would life to discuss the game without mod interference, please visit our site!

P.S. If you are stupid enough to play the game within first 6 months of its release, don't be also a COMPLETE MORON by pre-ordering, even if it's too late for many of you. The servers WILL be overloaded and you WON'T have ANY fun since the flag system is RETARDED. The moment you leave starter towns you'll have 100s of people running in front of you when you try to kill an NPC mob to flag you rouge and PK you.

(That's coming from the griefer you despite so much!)

It's actually funny because the fanbois who have been defending the game while being in beta will be bitching hard at Aventurine next few days. All of you, fanbois and trolls, don't realize how much of a retarded and unecessary anarchy will happen upon release. That's all considering some people will actually care to play in the unbearable lag the game will have on the sole server available for the release.

    lol.

Haha, way to miss the point.  Reading comprehension is not your strong point, so I'll break it down for you.  Actors are better at playing roles that suit them, as stated by actors.  Professionals are better at their jobs if they connect with/love what they do.  Why, then, do you find it so hard to stretch that people act a certain way in a video game because they identify, to an extent, with a character they play or a certain behavior in a game?  You do things in games because you want to.  You grief because you enjoy it, it BRINGS YOU JOY.  Why?  Because you like to know that you are inconveniencing another person, punishing them by taking their items, and making them have to re-do work.  I am not talking about PvP, but griefing.  HUGE difference.  If you can't see it, then you will not understand anything I have said.  I love PvP, but griefing is below me.  I do not feel a desire to consistently harass another HUMAN behind that character.  You don't understand, but I wish you did.
