Darkfall Sales....WTF is going on ??
Ok this game was apprentyl released on 02/23/09 and they still have not fully opened game sales yet??
I am seriously thinking Darkfall managment is fucking retarded, are they waiting for more promising games to get released and steal whatever thunder is left from this game??
Personally i am giving Darkfall until 1 week from today, if sales are still closed i bascically say fuck Darkfall, and move my attention to a game where i dont get fucked around with stories and excuses as to the state of playability....and from what i have heard this is like a Vanguard release....and therefore doomed to fail.
Anyone have any info on WTF is going on with this game??

Noone knows what Aventurine are doing.
The only thing we do know is that they currently sets the game before sales. They seems not to give a fuck that many wants it.
Thats a new motto for business? I agree with the making sure the game is stabel fun etc, but why release it and limit sales...pretty ridiculous if you ask me, although from what i heard they went bankrupt and had no choice.
Regardless they should give a fuck what players want, as there current motto will lead players astray kinda like what happend when SOE took the fun out of SWG.
I do not know anything about Aventurine going bankrupt.
But they do work hard on the game, thats for sure. Sometimes problems are handled within the hour, and patches happens all the time. So atleast there is alot of people working on it.

No one is argueing that the launch was bad dude, so stfu. Its no secret, why act like you were only one who knew. State of people.
The game is good, im enjoying it, most freedom ive had in a mmo for ages. Im no fanboy, but i just hate idiots who think they are elite or something, damn if you hate the game fine. Other people like it so why even waste your time posting.

This company is exact opposite of SOE u fucking retard. SOE is a multi billion dollar corporation. AV is a small indie company, and they actually care about the game they are making. Maybe at the moment they dont want to make millions? Not everyone is a capatalist dog. The time will come when they will open more servers and the company will earn more and be able to hire more people.

So you think Aventurine isn't out to make money? Capitalist dogs are the ones allowing you to play MMOs right now. MMos aren't art. They never were. If Avenrturine actually had a product that could make them millions, they would take it in a second. Don't think they're out for anything other than profit. Theres no game without it.

Do you know what sold out means? Have you ever wanted something new and it was sold out? This phenomenon usually occurs around Christmas, but has been known to crop up now and again.
They didn't botch anything. ALL MMOs have server issues - get over it (ESPECIALLY smaller companies). The fact that they are SOLD OUT of copies does NOT constitute messing anything up. Putting up additional servers isn't as easy or cheap as you think. Also, they are probably making sure everything on ONE server is working fine before they put up more. People are so spoiled these days (looking at you WAR!).
I'm not saying whether or not the game is good, but seriously stop trolling.

Do you think you saying "Get over it" and "It's a small company" excuses it? It doesn't. If you're going to charge like the big boys, you better bring service that can compare to the big boys.

Game is fantastic , currently the best MMO experience. Sour grapes me thinks...

IT doesnt make much business sense to turn away potential customers and limit access......I jsut dont think Aventurine understands this business at all......I imagine they have lost at least 100,000 potential customers that would have bought the game at release......Alot of people will not come back....often you only get one chance in MMOs to convince people to play your game......If you make it too much of a hassle people simply move on.......Now if they can succeed by doing business this way then more power to them but they have cost themselves a ton of money already.

They cant afford second server so only thing they can do is limit sales so people wouldnt have 7 hours long queues.

The game isnt being "sold out" for one. AV is basically having a limited release, as they put it. The reality of it is that they are beta testing the rest of the game with a limited number of players. These players pay to play the game, but in reality they are testing all of Darkfalls features, testing how gameplay turns out, testing server stability...ect, once they are ready, they will actually release the game completely.
So, to recap, AV is charging a limited ammount of people to beta test the game, only there wont be a wipe. Think of it as a closed beta that anyone was able to apply for while keys were available, only its dubbed a release and you pay for it.

Anyway if you really looking forward to the game why not be patient and wait a while for the game to settle and iron out some issue's they seem to have, why the hurry to get into the game when you just like me and anyone else can read about the issue's, if it was me looking forward I would definitly wait some more time before getting into that game, but hey thats just me.......

Ever since I heard about Rockstar working on GTA4 I couln't wait to play it, regardless anyone else his/her view, then the game got released on console first, thought to myself and talked with a few rl friends about how I felt, which was I felt it sucked, anyway even though I am active on several gameforums, never did it cross my mind to start screaming on forums about how I felt, then the game got released on pc, finaly, bought it the day it was released, installed it, yet couldn't play, wel I could but hardly saw 2 feet in front of me, sound where ackward, constant flickering of blocks , first thought was "me needs to upgrade my rig", but Crysis came, and could play that game without any problems, found info seeing more people had similar issue's, so I waited....patiently.....to hear something from Rockstar about patch/update, about 2 weeks after I bought it a new Nvidia driver was released which made the game bareble to me, few day's later Rockstar released a patch and made the game just awesome, yet still didn't goto forums and insulted Rockstar like I saw many do.
Not sure why I am telling this, but perhaps it's because I can not understand the mentality that younger people seem to have, I am not even that old, but think lack of patients is the most hurting thing this industry faces. Aswell as seeing people expectations in some way's.

This game is a POS, that's what's going on.
I wish peoples would stop getting this POS attention. I cant believe hardcore pvppers are so hungry then they will feed on anything.

You're ignoring an important issue here - in Darkfall (more so than most MMOs), the combination of the highly competitive full loot PVP gameplay with the total lack of actual 'content' means that the only object of the game is to be better than the other players. This being the case, any time that your 'enemies' have to establish their power base, alliances, resources, and raise their skills while others are locked out gives them a real advantage over those latecomers who have been forced to wait. It's like being in a race at the Olympics and having to wait for the other runners to get halfway around the track before you can start. Sure that won't be the case if/when Aventurine ever get their shit together and open another server, but there's no word of that as yet so I wouldn't be holding my breath.
Already it seems players and non-players alike are becoming bored with this title (I certainly am, as clearly is the OP)... by the time this shambolic dev team manages to open a new server I can't imagine the demand will warrant it any more, and Darkfall will take its rightful place as yet another obscure irrelevant title in an increasingly saturated market. And a lesson in how not to develop an MMO title.

What was so stupid about that? Without saying whether or not the game is good, it is BRAIN DEAD OBVIOUS that they only have one server for now and are selling LIMITED COPIES, which continually SELL OUT. This is the most obvious thing yet people just keep trolling on and on about it. It's rather pathetic that some people feel they need to try and say a game is bad and discourage people from playing it without any reason pertaining to the actual game (and no, I'm not currently playing and probably won't try it out for a long time).
