Whats the best Final Fantasy in your opinion? Final Fantasy 7 all the way!

7 was a break through but not the best. 10 really made me a happy guy. Don't get me wrong, 7 and even 8's combat system was a lot better but 10 had the best story.

without a doubt, FFVII was the best.. best storyline and gameplay imo

Tactics did not really have a depth story. It was:
3 kids sent into a story book land to stop the evil that plagues it
Gameplay wise, it was incredible. Not a true FF, though.

no not the game boy advance version... we were talking about the playstation version.

Oh I know. The PSX version was a lot longer than the GBA version, yet still, no memorable story.

I thought FF10 had a pretty shallow story... its just a love story/save the world routine, just like 8 and 9. Sure FF7 was similar but it was so much more in depth, it was also the first real RPG I played, I dont even remember how many hours I spent on that game... at *least* 150 hours
Also FF7 had tons of cool minigames, something that I felt was lacking from the rest (aside from FF10-2 which I didnt like all that much, the battle system was fun but that was about it)
1) FF7
2) FF9
3)FF10
4)FF8
I havent played much of the old FFs, ive spent a few hours on each of them but never really got into them
i think that ff8 doesnt get enough credit, that game i think is done pretty good, i like the concept and the battle system and the card system was great
Final Fantasy 7 is deffinatly the best. I spent nearly 130 hours on it (not including emerald and ruby weapon). The game was funny too ( like when cloud dresses up as a girl, or goes on the date). Materia was confusing when i first started but i really liked that system... i heard FFXII is gonna be using metaria or was that just a rumor?
-FF8 card game was confusing at first and i lost tons of cards cause i always lost.. once i get a character card and learned it was easy

Ceceil and Kain were in FFIV. I didn't like that one.
Bring back Chrono Trigger (the original) or port the PSX version to the GBA. Anyone know anyting about Fantasy Earth?

Looking forward to 12, its supposed to be a big change from previous games.
I love the concept art so far and the teaser videos theyve released. The new battle system sounds pretty cool too.
Best one was; 8, (at the time) X also is very good.... more-up-to-date to the graphics from now

I'd say FF 6 is the best.
Love 4. HATE 8. 7 bored me after the half way mark. 10 was a step in the right direction though.

wow thats a hard one im a big FF fan i can only think of one i really detested. the gunblade one. i think that was 7? But the rest were great.wasnt real big on the newest instalment was more like Barbie dress up than an RPG but it was atleast playable unlike FF7 imho.

That Poll will be wrong because the FFs in North America are different than the ones in Japan. I believe that FF2 in Japan is known as FF4 in NA, and FF3 in Japan is FF6 in NA. This would also explain why there wasnt FF3 and FF4 in the Playstation remakes... at least im pretty thats how it is.
