Aion PvP Ettiquitte/beginners guide

MrblurayMrbluray Member Posts: 248

This is just a simple guide about becoming a PvPer in general and really can be applied to any game, but I will make it specifically for AION in this case.

Q:  I was just killed while levelling!  It's not fair!  What should I do?

A:  Kill them back

Q:   I was just killed while levelling!  He's alot higher in level than me and I can't kill him back!  What should I do?

A:   Level harder, then and kill him back.

Q:  I can't  do my quest because I keep getting "ganked!"  What should I do?

A:  Go somewhere else and level.

Q:  But I still can't do my quests!  How am I supposed to level?

A:  Grind mobs.

Q: But grinding is boring and takes too long!

A: Learn to have discipline.

Q:  When I get to higher levels, should I "gank"  other players?  Why?

A:  Yes, because you win and you help your faction win.

Q: When I get to higher levels, should I "camp"  other players?  Why?

A:  Yes. because you win and you help your faction win.

Q:  But isn't ganking and camping cheap and unfair?

A:  No.  The only important thing is that you win.  Fairness doesn't matter

Q: Is it ok to train mobs into players of my own faction

A: Yes.  Training mobs helps train members of your own faction by training them to react to unexpected situations.

Q: Help!  I've just been killed using an exploit!  What should I do?

A: Use the same exploit on others.

Q: Isn't using exploits cheating?

A:  No.   The only thing that matters is what you can do and what you can't do.

Q: Should I cry about being killed on forums

A: No.  That makes you a "newb"

Q: Should I do silly emotes like /facepalm?

A: No. That makes you a "newb".

Oh come on. I think you're more familiar with it than you pretend to be.

Yes, it grows in remote portions of Florida. Usually very close to large cannibus fields. Has been known to be found in California as well, but the rich hollywood types usually dig them up to put in their atriums.

And I had really hoped that the pre-teen tards would stick with wow and not come to aion...oh well, at least Ill get to snicker while they try and spin strafe around me while I cut them to pieces

  • snazzsnazz Member Posts: 70

That PvP post says everything I need to know about AION.  hate PvP and I can't do it. I played WOW on a PvP server, it was 100% the biggest and most utter useless time I ever had.

You either get PvP or you don't. I was desparate for this game to take me away from WOW, but the PvP kills it for me before I even start. Remember I said you either get it or you don't before you start to call me stupid names for saying my piece.

You may make fun of new folks getting ganked and not enjoying the expericance, if enough folks complain ncsoft will nerf or tone down the cause. So becareful what you make fun of.

Spoted, some kind of new A ION term?

Q: When I get to higher levels, should I "camp" other players? Why?

A: Yes, it will keep subscribers away, by the end you will be the most powerful player.

Just a typo, and I was talking about the OP.

    He talks the nooblet talk.

And kids like him will be raped hardcore in this game and they always cry about it trust me.

Ganker/Griefer  tears is enough reason for me to play this game.

There is no such thing as "ganking" or "griefing"

These are terms only PvE players use.

I actually totally have to agree with the poster above, it's really a PvE term. :)

I agree except for those 2, firstly if you are killed using a exploit, report it... it makes the game better in the long run.

On the second one, yes using an exploit is cheating no matter what justification you put behind it, hence the name exploit. If you use it or not is up to you, personally I wouldnt because I like beating the living s*** out of ppl because I am better, not because I cheat..

I agree with you. I'm more interested in my skill than ways to compensate for my lack of skill that fall outside of the game design.

Also, as far as words like gank and grief being only pve words I believe I've seen many so called pvp'ers using those words liberally. As  matter of fact there are several posts on this stie where pvp players state that they like to gank and grief and it's what "gets them off".

If something is in the game, it's part of the game design until it is taken out.   There is really no such thing as "exploiting".

Those weren't PvPers.  Those were PvEers who like to PvP.
