1) I'ts Closed beta and they are adding more and more into the game every week
Many which cannot even log in. Just check the support forum on their official site. Most people from beta block B hasn't been able to log in even once.
2) Trolls - I am a beta tester and everything is going very smoothly (this isnt breaking Star vaults nda by me saying this)
Say what? People not being able to log in I would not say is going very smoothly.
3) You got to choose whether or not to choose it.. they even had a disclaimer that it had work to be done on it
That does not make it alright.
4) Where... does it say they are running out of money? The financial situation is ok over at SV
Common deductive reasoning. Why would they charge so much so far from release if they were not short on money? Just for shit and giggles?
5) Its not alpha.. its beta - And again it was your choice to pay that much.. it would only be a scam if they tricked you with the price or made you pay monthly fees
Again, they being upfront about it does not make it okay.
By making a post like this you just make potential people who might want to play the game turn the other direction - and why? Because you don't have a clue what your talking about and just felt like making a post on here after seeing what the local trolls on the MO forums were posting - steer away from this kind of post in the future

-They havent been able to login because seb. only opens the server for a few minutes to prevent spam.. its their fault if they cant get in b/c i get in every night
-like i said i'ts their fault if they can't get in - and they just added a patch that leaves the login up much longer, also the in game experience is fantastic as there are no bugs that are popping out
-If you are putting your money down to help test a game then you should test it.. but what do ppl like you do? You sit and bitch that a beta game isnt like the release yet.
-I talk to sebastian once every few days and I have asked him about money issues.. They don't care they just want to see the game being bought and played. Oh and the only reason it cost so much is that they had to put a european tax on it.. you would know this if you actually checked the forums like you have told me to check

Your response will be - "well i only bought it b/c i wanted to play beta!" - Ok so you want to make your judgements on a game that is only maybe 5% finished as far as features go? yeah.

Yeah, seriously. That community is going to shit now. It used to be a pretty decent place to have discussions, but now it's quickly becoming a haven of imbeciles. There's still some good people there, but the good discussion is starting to change into little flame skirmishes. The sad part is there is virtually no moderation. I like free speech just as much as the next guy. but lacking a public release or previous games, Star Vault's online community is the sole representative of what they as a company stand for.
i think it's partly due to people slowly coming to terms with the fact that MO beta has been pretty majorly disappointing and it'll be lucky to even make it to release let alone compete with Darkfall.
it is certain that if the developers are running out of money with at least half a year to go to release with the game being so unfinished *now*, that things are definitely not looking good.

True. Being Indie seems to make little difference. Just means the devs move out of their parents' basements after release, rather than to the Carribean.

Well from the pictures of the SV headquarters, their parents have a pretty nice basement on a commercial street with above ground windows looking out over town.
Wish my basement looked like that, mine is below ground and rather dark and dismal.
3) 6+ Months from release? I guess Q4 has 6+ months in it.

Is this game a scam? Probably not.
Is it a major rip-off? Oh yeah.
True, the Mortal developers admitted they are low on cash and are going to release the game with little to no content, but does that really make things right? All they are doing is telling people youre going to be playing a crappy game. How does that justify anything? They are bascially being honest about ripping you off, yet there are people who defend them. Why? Because you want to believe this game will succeed? Well, be prepared to have those beliefs shattered when the game goes belly up. I dont say that to troll, I say it because its what has the highest probablility of happening.
I mean, come on, they have basically admitted they are inept at making MMOs. What good can possibly come of this game? A game is only as good as its developers. If you have inept developers youre going to have a poorly put together game. And, because of this games failure, its going to cast more of a shadow on open PvP sandbox MMOs and deter the talented development teams, you know, the ones who actually know what they are doing, from trying to make them and force them to stick with the mainstream EQ clones we have all come to loathe and despise.
To prevent further baiting/attacking. I am locking this one.
