I have been hearing this for so long now, there are no quests at level 30 - oh my you have to grind mobs -blah blah blah. Well I am level 32 - I have a full quest log. Usually I cannot accept more. I just turned in three quests that's why I have 3 opening out of 30 possible.
Up to this point I have only ran Fire Temple once, and Kaidan Mines once. I have more follow up quests in these instances - so there. And I have never ran a repeatable quest twice. Never.

thats not the argument those who actually play the game make. There are tons of quests up to level 50. The problem is you actually level faster through grinding mobs. The quests don't give much xp. They drastically increased that last patch but still.
i never had quest problems till i hit level 37, i grinded out KHQ and solo grinding till level 39 then i just said this is boring i'll come back in 6 months.
ps i don't think i've heard any complaints about questing until 39+ when you hit "the wall"
At least that image shuts the mouth of those basher who clearly dont know what they talk about.
Most people who say quests are not enough are those kind of ppl that look at most quests and decide they "dont like them" so they leave them behind to do orange or red quests. Ofc that eventually they are gonna run out of quests to do.
Plus, the crafting level up and gathering both award Exp, so, if we do all quests and maintain a decent level of crafting paralel to the normal leveling, there is not gonna be a lack of quests to do
this does not make any sense,
I don't see the problem.
The only problem is if you do not like to grind yet you do it. Here is an easy solution. Don't.

honestly man i don't want to start a flame war but you're only level 32 come back on these threads when your 37+ and tell me you don't HAVE to grind.
Hahahahaha, really - I heard this exact same thing at level 18, level 30 etc ... allow me to be extremely skeptical ... here is my tip to you ... do the quests all quests even if they seem to give out less XP than killing a few mobs ... very often new and more exciting quest lines open up
As for closer to level 40? I am looking forward a great deal to the time when I can participate in taking artifacts ...

Owned NOT. As long as there is no concrete evidence that you can level up from 1 to 50 through quests alone. Who says this guy is not a grinder addict who just accepted the first 28 quests he saw around? The general opinion is that Aion is a grindfest at the last levels, and screenshots like this won't change that opinion. Give us some facts, sites with guides on leveling through quests from 1-50 etc, not random mambo-jumbo.
Even if the screenshot is true and you can level via quests smoothly (even if slower than grinding, this is not a case of questing being the fastest way but being a viable way) till lvl40, it is still not enough. 10 levels are 20% of the game (and last levels are the most grindy as always). And understand that most people "whining" about the grind are not doing because they HATE the game and because they want it to FAIL, but instead because they find the grind NOT fun, and were it absent, they could as well enjoy the game with you.
1 + 1 = 2... Unless it CRITS!

Simple. How? look at the pic, white named quests mean they are near his/her, orange a bit hard and lvl red harder if they were low level quests they would either be grey or green (not sure on green) so ehm yeah the quests he is showing are indeed from that level bracket.
Anyone able to confirm how much quest experience was increased by, perhaps as a percentage?
"If all you can say is... "It's awful, it's not innovative, it's ugly, it's blah.." Then you're an unimaginative and unpolished excuse for human life" -eburn
let's follow the logic, there is guy number 1 saying that you run out of quests at level 37 and there is guy number 2 who is level 39 and says that his quest log is full and posts a screenshot right away
then the only logical conclusion is that
guy 1 was right all along, guy number 2 has been planning an elaborate deception and waited for a certain post to appear so that he can trigger his deception ... really?
Having the quests at his level bracket doesnt mean that those quests can actually level you too. I can make a game with 1 quest for every level, and that quest giving 1% of the experience needed. Is this quest-level progression? No. Can the guy in the above screenshot level smoothly only by doing quests, and not filling gaps with grind in-between? We can't know from the evidence provided.
I DO NOT play the game, I don't know if leveling can be done via quests alone. What I do know though is that this screenshot is NOT enough, nor is someone saying that you can do some % of the game without grind. Nor am I expecting this game to change and become quest based, many prefer grinding, I respect that. I just want to know if you can level 1-50 via quests, repeatable quests not included, group content quests included, but with FACTS, and /fanboyism off.
1 + 1 = 2... Unless it CRITS!
Im lvl 46 and my questlog is about 28/30. Now I'm sure somebody would call it a grind if they don't put the effort into it.

What one more person stating that they have a full questlog? That is not absolute, earth shattering, universe ending proof!!!
Therefore the original statement that there are no quests must be correct!!!!

First off, to show my credibility. I play Aion, have been playing since the ChiOB and plan to play it for couple of years into future.
You're correct on one thing, and one thing only. This game isn't for pure questers. Quests in this game are to guide the ones that aren't innovative enough to find things to do in MMORPG or the ones that don't know how MMOs are played. And one other thing quests are in this game is to speed up the first levels of the game.
What you are seriously wrong is how you define playing MMORPG. MMORPGs aren't played by "filling the caps". In a good MMORPG (I define Aion a very good one) you live your character and grow with it. You don't magically turn into a superhero over night or even 4 months. You develop into one in time.
To say it the other way, there's no instant gratification to find in a good MMORPG.
SPRPGs are the ones where the game carries you entirely through a story, in an MMORPG the game gives you a context and some content to fuel your imagination. The rest is up to you.
What I tell my kids repeatedly when they say there's nothing to do outside: If you are unable to create fun things to do, you need to start learning.
I didn't ask for your credability, nor your advice on how to enjoy a MMORG. I asked one simply thing: If you can level 1-50 via quests (with facts). From your answer I understand that you can't, and that the general opinion that Aion is a grind at late levels remains true.
1 + 1 = 2... Unless it CRITS!

And amazingly no one who posted screenshots answered you're question because it's true. Every quest you get at level 37 only gains you 35% of level. Everyone knows this but yet no one will admit it. Why do you think they upped the quest experience?
Here's a newsflash. Killing the same mobs over and over and over again is incredibly boring for most people. And don't come back and say you do that in every game because not every game does it like that. Some games at least give you the illusion of doing different things. Aion doesn't even try that hard.
Nonsense.
You mistake our common sense and respect for the facts with weakness. And that of course is because you wouldn't know what it means to base an opinion on facts anyhow. The people who posted screenshots at level 32 and 39 cannot possibly know what it takes to level to 50. So if anything you should to give them respect, as obviously they are not spouting off about things that they know nothing about.
Unlike you and the rest of the haters who clearly have no idea what it takes to level - or if you actually played the game - simply tried to force grind your way to max level. Sadly that does not stop you from claiming various nonsense. What I have stated many times and I state again is that: Up to this point every time that I've read about not being able to level at some point due to lack of quests turned out to be blatantly FALSE once I actually reached that level.
I have had a full quest log since level 18, I have to turn down quests all the time, many quests get skipped due to out leveling them (once I moved to Eltnen I had to drop at least 6-8 quests in Verteron) and I never grind mobs for the sake of XP!
At this point all the haters can do is say: oh wait, once you reach this or that (all higher than what you are now) you'll see that there won't be quests. How ludicrous is that? I now await the next genius post stating that: since I cannot 100% prove that this was my experience, after all there is no video log, and if there were such a full log that too could have been falsified - therefore the opposite opinion must necessarily be true...
So there.

You haven't been paying attention. Most people claimed that quests run out at level 35+..... hopefully recent patches have resolved some of that.
But I've only got a couple of level 25 characters, and yes, at least 3 times now I've found myself with a bar or three to the next level and nary a quest around to do in site. (most recently at 24).
I fill in the holes with some gathering or grinding, but to say there arent' any gaps is just disinegenous.

I play a Spirit Master so i've been grinding even tho my quest log is full at 30, on a Spirit Master atleast it is INSANELY fast to grind because i can solo elite mobs up to 5 levels above me. with rest exp and an amulet at level 40 level 42 elites give me 525,000 exp per kill. but today i think i'm going to clear out my quest log and see how much more the quests give. so I'll get back to the guy that asked how much more quests give now since the patch.
i do remember examples of quest exp before and after the patch and it was up to around 4x exp per turn in. But i can't confirm this yet.
Aion armory shows 54 quests in Eltnen for which the required level is 20 to 24 one of which is an elite zone! that yields a ton of XP.
www.aionarmory.com/search.aspx
It also shows 23 quests in the same level in Thebomos. Do you mean to imply that you have done a substantial percent of all these 87 quests and you still did not advance 4 levels?

Er, maybe I should mention that I'm Asmodian, have no idea what areas you are referencing, and outside of a few SPY quests, yes, I had done every single possible quest including the repeatables up to 5 or 6 times on some occasions.
At level 24.6 my son and I had exactly 3 quests in our logs. We ground the rest out.
edit: forgot to mention, I don't actually mind grinding some, sort of gives the game an old school feel.
