Dragon Age is boring like Crap!!!! Feels like a Offline Guild Wars or something

This game is very boring!! Damn the cut scenes are just crazy annoying. Damn and we cant even skip them. The game is just too damn slow. Tired of having to keep saving, just so I dont have to go through and repeat scenes if ya get killed.

I got to about 20% though and also became bored but I attribute that to my MMO needs, a world devoide of other REAL players feels empty to me now... the combat was annoying would of prefered a turned based combat system TBH.
Pretty damned late to be saying this about DA. Did you just get it for xmas or something? Most people who like the Single Player experience liked this game. So I guess if your a MMO player it mite be a be tad underwhelming. Overall I liked it though.
With dragon age I came to the realisation that I dont really fancy bioware's games. I loved kotor because it was star wars, not because it was a bioware game. Why is it that every game they make have you run around with a posse? Why cant it be the lone hero or just the hero and one sidekick? Why do their games force all these jerks I have no interest in on me?
Here's to hoping that swtor will allow me to go out on my own and still be viable. or on the very least allow only one companion out. I hate micromanaging a party.

Relax, this isn't an MMO, there is no "need" to rush.
Breath a little and enjoy the engrossing cutscenes and intricate dialog.
Watch the cutscenes as a movie and play the game like an RTS.
Each fight needs to be approached with strategy and finess, especially when on harder difficulties.
I recommend turning the difficulty up, grabbing a beer, and enjoying the game, rather than nerd splooging over xp.

How bad are the cut scenes? Others have stated their problem with them as well. Are they long cut scenes or just a lot of them or both?
No I wasnt looking for a MMO feel. I just wanted a nice RPG. Iam bored of WoW atm, so I wanted to play a good single player RPG.
This game just plain old sucks.
The Combat is lame. I want Hack n Slash, not sum stupid auto Attack/Move crap.
The game feels like Guild Wars' PvE if it had been made Offline based.
The Cut Scenes are just too much!! I want to fight, not spend 10mins of watching blood stained characters talk to one another. I spend more time in Scenes in this game, then I do in Combat.
Also the Loading, makes this feel even Worst!!!!!!!!! Too Damn Slow!!!!!!!!!!!

You.. Press Escape to skip Cutscenes. Escape... Also skips bodies of text. Is this your first game? This is common in video games.
Bah, For those you do not like a story, dialog, and choices . . . go play something else . .
DA is a RPG . . not a PHP MMO death match or a MMORPG with a ultra lite story, non changing world, and quests that do not require reading . . ("go kill X of these, or pick up this") boredom that is now the panacea of the masses.
I also find bioware games to be boring for the reasons mentioned above. But hey...they market themselves well, and do have a good base that enjoys them. Just not my cup of tea.
To the poster above me...the story is what is boring. The dialogue is only occasionally mildly amusing, but most of the time tedious. Your rationalizations really show the type of people who enjoy this game.
DA is not the first RPG, the PS1 had better RPG then this crap!!
Yea gotta agree , i also didnt enjoy DA that much , Way to heavy on the cut scenes , absolutley ridiulous that sometimes you are 1 full hour of cut scenes , The bloodstains are laughable and way overdone, and if you take the time to use the tactics Tool that is in game , the game becomes Wayyy to easy and plays itself allah Dungeon Siege , so you just end up right clking where you want to move to..........
Its a decent movie with gameplay elements ................The End.
Woah, I thought DA:O was rather short on cutscenes compared to certain JRPGs.
HAHAHAHA, you obviously didn't wanted to play a RPG, you want an action/hack'n'slay game.
Dragon age is a real rpg and will mostly be liked by rpg fans and not Devil May Cry/god of war/*insert other game in which you are killing enemies every 0.24 seconds* players.
I'm going to assume that if someone played WoW and posted "where are the cut scenes? Why aren't there a lot of cut scenes?", you would be asking them why they bought the game if it didn't have the features they need.
Lots of people enjoy Bioware's storytelling. But it's not everyone's cup of tea.

ROLE PLAYING GAMES are just that . . . . and the common computer perversion substituted simplicity, and combat because it could not handle dialog and story in a interesting way. Now they can, but now rpg computer game almost means DIABLO or the like (mindless hacking and loot/character management) so people get confused over a side genre (DIABLO like) and a classic RPG.

this has nothing to do with the way I feel about MMOs. Because I was playing RPGs long before I started playing MMORPG.
RPG games do not mean role playing. it is just a term borrowed from DnD's exp system and character development. Many RPG games you cant even name your character.
I think this matter is subjective.
If you have to be doing something all the time and get antsy, then the cut scenes aren't going to please you.
If you can actually sit back and take in the story and are willing to truly understand what is going on as well as understand the motivations of the characters then they are an enjoyable part of the game.

This is not a hack and slash, it never claimed to be.
There are cutscenes and a story, if you don't like it, fine.

Ex. it's like saying counter-strike sucks because there are no elves. It never claimed to have any! ...Just because I want counter-strike to be elves vs. elfs, doesn't mean it sucks. :palmface:

A true RPG game is just what DA is. RPG = Decision making based on selectable dialogue that results in different outcomes, Strategy based on how you are equipped to handle situations and usually done with mutliple characters in party, and is story driven.
They really need to make another catagory for those hack and slash games. Just because you can make a game that has a character that you can equip with different weapons,armor, spelsl, etc, but has no depth other then kill kill kill without having some kind of consequence is not a true RPG.
