A new player joining the game who's been deceived into thinking he can just PvP from the start will quit the game soon after realizing that not only does he have to grind thousands of mobs, but he has to join a good guild not just a regular guild to even make the game playable. Last week apparently all you needed to do was join a clan to become magically competitive at PvP. Now you need a "Good" clan ROFL. What's next?
A decent game wouldn't require you to join a "good" guild just so you wont get annihilated 10 times a day.

we've been over this already. In ANY MMORPG the quality of your clan will effect the quality of your experience in teh game, and this is especially true of a PVP MMORPG.

    Nice attempt at spin, though.

I'm glad to see you didn't refute my points. I also find it funny that everyone playing this game runs around screaming "SANDBOX!!!" all the time, while also acknowledging that you have no choice when it comes to playing solo and joining clans. LOL sandbox indeed.

That's because I know from our past discussions that you are simply here to be contrary, and no attampt at logic or reasoning on my part will dissuade you. I simply refuse to waste the energy on it.

On a side note though....every sandbox I've ever played was 1000x better in a good clan.

I can understand how hard it is to admit being wrong. Also, I only make the points that you try to refute. If they happen to go against whatever information you are trying to deceive new players with I can understand why it seems like you are making no progress. You can't really change the truth.

Tried Darkfall and will now move on to AoC and see how that is. And after that some betas will prolly surface.

One thing they should change about Darkfall is the respawn timer on the pve mobs, or put them further appart. What is the point of killing stuff if you cant  loot it without dying. Its probably suppose to seem "real" but the looting is crap. After all this game is all about loot and killing eachother and getting land.

There are hundreds of spawns - with respawn timer anywhere from 30 seconds to 30 minutes. Some of them are not intended for solo PvE - spawn timer is set in such way that group of 5 players will have 20 seconds "downtime" - but solo players won't be able to loot.

No Wharg0ul is not even close to wrong. I think he realised long ago that you are only coming to this forum to argue. If you check his post history, you'll clearly see just how helpful to the community he has been. Why are still lurking around here anyways if you obviously can't stand the game? You're welcome here just as much as I am, but why continue to indirectly promote a game you clearly dislike?

Don't worry as you progress you will find plenty of freetime while waiting for mob spawns.

Honestly it did take me some time to get used to looting in this game, but really it's just a matter getting some practice in. You'd be surprised how quickly it becomes second nature. Eventually you'll find that the respawn times are tweaked just right.

I never argue on the forums. I simply state facts that some people seem to want to disagree with. When they do I simply restate facts but some people cant admit being wrong so they continue attempting to disagree with the facts. The facts don't always make people happy which is probably what perpetuates the posting.

Well when you get to that point man, it's time to move on to bigger and better mobs. What Darkfall map(s) are you currently using?

Really, it's a piece of cake to find a challenging mob in this game.

EDIT: why hang around to take cheap shots like this anyways, life is too short?

I don't really understand why you interpret my posts as negative. Actually since my posts probably conflict with what you have hardcoded in your brain you automatically see them as negative or aggressive. I never mentioned anything about mobs being challenging or not. I fight Ciel Fey mobs at their camp they are challenging and there is still a few minutes of downtime between mobs.

Ah, apologies. I misunderstood your post. I think I've been up way too long today. Happy hunting if you're still at it.

I joined the game originally with my clan from other games. Only 2 of us could make it past the first free month because of the huge grind. So I tried joining many different clans, many didn't work mostly because I would get killed in town repeatedly by people wardec'ing. I have been solo most of the time and am not currently in a clan. So far solo has worked better than being in a clan.

How does that even happen in a PVE game?  Crazy!

It was even worse in WoW. I still remember level 60 troll rogues killing me in the starting towns... Thankfully darkfall lets you prevent this simply by not being part of a clan.

Did it happen every day in WoW?  No.  Did it force you to leave the city?  No.  Don't lie and imply WoW has hardcore PVP like Darkfall.

That is one of the cooler parts of WoW that people can do that, though.  Unfortunately, there is almost no incentive to do it, unlike this game where you can take the other person's stuff, or once you get stronger, take their fortress.

It's impossible to avoid this in WoW, and it was quite common and very debilitating. Actually once I was max level thats pretty much all I did. Darkfall is softer and allows you to completely avoid this simply be not being in a clan, so I dont see how its any more "hardcore" (which is really just another one of those buzzwords that darkfall players love to throw around).

Oh yeah, you're right.  WoW has hardcore PVP because a rogue ganked you twice in a city.

Most people have played WoW on a PVP server and know it's not hardcore PVP, so you're going to have to come up with some other way to troll these boards.

And as a non-clanned player you are basically a non-entity.  You have no ability to do anything that affects the world, which is what the game is all about.

    Hehehe....sorry, man...but it's true.

I've been in a bunch of clans, man....a lot of them couldn't even defend their own cities. Some had so few people active, that reds could roll right through and help themselves, and smash the bank while they were at it.

Finding a good strong clan, with a lot of active members, which is also part of a strong alliance, makes a HUGE difference.

And yes, many of them DO take new players.

You could progress more in a week than you would in a month solo.....no shit there, man.

Enough with this crap, you've been reported.

This thread has nothing to do with that thread.  If you know a way for me to gain more HP other than PVE and chopping wood please let me know.  I don't know what reported means?

Nice try buddy, I fell for this the first time, but not this time.

Anyone reading this thread, please read through the OP's other thread and be sure to not play the way he does (takes all of the fun out of the game), and take some of the advice that was given throughout that he did not.

I know this quote is really far, but i had to respond to this.

So you saying, darkfall is not a sandbox game? You cant play the way you want to be able to compete? You ask us to not do like the OP, but you want us to do your way. Joining a clan. Special announcement, darkfall is not a sandbox game. Darkfall become a sandbox game only once you gain the veteran medal

Im not playing darkfall, im not taking that one week offer. Not enough to be sure that i will keep going for the whole months with that horrible grind. So i will keep waiting teal AV get reed of the grind and il buy DF and play it for ever.
