I am, at the moment interested in fantasy based MMOs, and browsing through this thread I have identified two Guild Wars 2 and Tera, both of which don't appeal to me. And Final fantasy, again not appealing.
I am looking forward to the AoC expansion Rise Of The God Slayer simply because there is no cap rise in the expansion and is mostly content aimed at End game.

Any other Fantasy based MMO's on the horizion?
I think Lineage 3 is also in the works, which is fantasy-ish. I really haven't taken notice of many fantasy games, and I think developers are trying to shy away from them due to the genre being overcrowded by fantasy right now. Depending which way bethesda ends up going we may get to look forward to an Elder Scrolls MMO. Also, I guess you could count Mortal Online as fantasy if you wanted to.
FFXIV and TERA are the big two that I'm looking forwards to, with Secret World being a possibility too. In the meantime, I think I may kill some time in the upcoming Kingdom Heroes that Aeria's putting out. Been awhile since I played a decent tactical rpg, and beta-ing is always fun.
A Modest Proposal for MMORPGs: That the means of progression would not be mutually exclusive from the means of enjoyment.
Most excited for TERA. All the others ignite positive but cautious feelings in me. Haven't found a number 2, 3 or 4 yet that would come close to the excitement I feel when thinking about TERA.
I enjoy new mmorpgs. I really cant be with one game for more than a year, and find it hard to fathom how some do, as I would be gouging my eyes out with a spoon, out of sheer boredom from the sameness of the mind numbing and redundant game-play that they all presen, if I were still playing; for example, LoTRO, WoW, etc.
So, I’m really only interested in six, which I’ve highlighted, but placed 8 in order of release.
Xsyon. Have pre-purchased and looking forward to give another indie a shot. However, this could turn into a mmorpg blunder if it’s game-play doesn’t transcend being ‘clunky’ and the graphics don’t move past rudimentary, and if the game-play is wrestled away from it’s supposed sandboxy presentation by PvE barney’s that cry for nothing more than a sims-esque ‘civilization’ builder in peace.
All Points Bulletin. Cops & Robbers with a hint of GTA-esque within a dynamic environment of faction vs.faction ;the game has an interesting good-versus-evil angle, giving the player the choice of siding with the Criminal population, who create chaos wherever they go, or the Enforcers, who are dedicated to protecting and serving the civilians. I cant resist wanting to experience it, and we’ll see.
Tera: With the latest news of hiring some very accomplished professionals in the gaming industry, and the potential for something really mmorpg robust might be there.
Earthrise: A sandboxy SciFi mmorpg that might be the player-centric ecosystem TabulaRasa I was hoping for.
World of Darkness: CCP; enough said. One of the most successful studios in the last 6 years, beating out established & mature studios for quality and rich game-play.
Final Fantasy XIV: Not looking forward to another PvE-centric game where Im tethered to a leash for a ride along on linear quests, and in which eye-candy is the best one can say about the game, but will keep it on the last-ditch list.
The Secret World: Funcom sucks, and the majority agree, due to the complete lack of popularity of the fiasco called AoC. Funcom has to earn the community's trust, not the other way around. So TSW is supposed to be heavily instanced, single-player-seque game with many mmorpg staples left out, and arena-based pvp; a lot of nothing that the majority of mmorpg enthusiasts will embrace, but we’ll see.
Star Wars The Old Republic: Bioware; enough said. Which RPG enthusiast doesn’t reminisce about the connection they have with the fun game-play of the Baldurs Gate series and others. If they can really blend story with important player-centric elements of a robust mmorpg, and provide a gaming landscape that pits good & evil alignment players against each other in a virtual world that is less about whack-a-mole and more about player engagement and cooperativeness, then they’ll be golden.
I'm about to just stop playing MMO's for quite some time, I've already had a few months without playing much at all. I gave AoC a try recently and it bored me to death. I tried to find a reason why someone would spend even few hours a week playing it and not to mention, pay for it. I've been playing several strategy games, couple of roleplaying games and the two newest GTA's and I realized how much crap MMORPG's mostly are, only thing they have going on with them, and what they are completely dependent on, is the social aspect. Oddly enough, many of them are requiring less and less socializing. Single player games, on the other hand, are improving the online multiplayer part of the game more and more. I don't really see any reason to play MMORPG's right now.
Only really looking forward to three. If Tera end's up being good, that will be my choice of poison for a while, then Guild Wars 2 on the side. FFXIV has to be pretty damn good, if ill stick with that. The other three games, I'm just more intrested in seeing how well they do, then actually playing them.
1. Perpetuum - the only game I will be happy to see bots in) 2. Tera - looks hot 3. Earthrise - looks huge 4. Global Agenda - I know its already out, but its not an MMO...yet 5. Xsyon - looks like good factional warfare finally 6. The Secret World - just like the dev house 7. GW2 - the baby of an old flame 8. Hello Kitty Online - I'm not gonna play it, but if I get the girlfriend hooked, it'll mean more time for me on my gaming.

1. Cataclysm - Obvious buy for me, looking forwards to it; not that exciting, but given the competiton it gets top spot.
2. SW:TOR - The next big realease, I loved the single player games; but I have doubts about Biowares ability to make it work (especially due to the dubious combat and ballance of most of their single player games - so much cheese in DA). I'm really hoping they'll pull it off though.
3. Blizz so called nex gen game - Bit hard to be exicted for a game I don't know jack about, but I'll give it a spot for curiosity alone.
4. LEGO Univers - I seem to be the only one, but between the all the childhood nostalgia and some genuinely interesting mechanics I'm quite curious about this one.
5. The secret world - Spookeh! Hopefully Funcom will have learned from last time.
6. WoD online - I like the World of Darkness setting, will be interesting to see how it turns out.
7. DCU online - It's Superman and Batman, what's not to like!

You weren't the only one on lego universe, I am interested but I just haven't followed it enough to really know what to expect. I suppose some more research is in order, but most of the lego games so far have been done very well considering they are focused at a younger audience.
I didn't even know there were 8 upcoming MMO's... I know of Tera, FFXIV, GW2, Secret World and SWToR.... Those are the ones I'm watching, but no way can I pay to play all of them.... GW2, obviously is F2POnline. But of the others, it's going to be tough to decide which one to sub to.
1. World of Darkness - Great setting, CCP & White Wolf sounds like a promising cooperation.

1. GW2 - This game will be groundbreaking in quite a few ways
2. FFXIV - Something to fill my time till GW2 releases
3. BP or JGE - both games look cool
4. Tera - but only if FFXIV is too boring
There are a couple of other games I could see myself playing but I think they're beyond 2011.
I play every AAA MMO released and really the only ones I'd say are on my radar are:
SW:TOR, GW2, Black Prophecy
Everything else just isn't that developed enough to be interested in or well just isn't interesting. TSW, FFXIV, DCUO just aren't doing it for me.
The ones I could think of right now:
1: Tera
2: Jumpgate Evolution
3: Black Prophecy

1) GW2 - best team based pvp mmo
2) TSW - a lot of people hate Funcom, but I have found their games enjoyable in most respects
3) Earthrise - sci-fi with sandbox elements and interesting graphical design
4) FFXIV - class system looks interesting, rest of the game looks traditional and mediocre
5) TOR - keeping an eye on it, but likely won't jump in right away
1. Cataclysm - Obvious buy for me, looking forwards to it; not that exciting, but given the competiton it gets top spot.

1. Copernicus
There seems to be a whole lot of misinformation on this one around here. Easily #1 most anticipated though.
2. Heroes of Telara
If they can deliver what they promise they will actually revolutionize the MMO genre. Also, love the art style.
3. Bethesda / Elder Scrolls Online
Yes, please.
4. Star Wars: The Old Republic
Largest MMO ever constructed
5. Guild Wars 2
Best monetization model, 1st or 2nd best art team, plus all the GW goodness
6. The Secret World
Like the concepts, will they execute?
7. EverQuest Next
LOL, why not.
8. Best of Show Online, The Supreme Dog Show Champion Pedigree Simulator
If I have a passion greater than MMOs, its the championship dog breeding circuit.
