I support the game and will pay for it because I believe in the project AND I am going to play it. Also I think it's really fun. I know the value of money. I'm cancelling my AoC and FFXI subscriptions for this because I have a budget. I want the project to succeed so badly, because this is the kind of game I've been waiting for for a long time. But I'm not willing to make an unreasonable sacrifice for it. This is because I believe in fairness and darwinism to a certain degree.

's all I'm sayin'. Don't spend money on a crappy product that you don't want to play. If you think that a product has value and you enjoy it, then reward the company with your money and enjoy your game.
I will not support it since they didnt let me try the close and open beta.
They had an open beta for 5 months. But its not like you could play or anything, the game is so full of bugs and was really laggy and had a bunch of desync.
Well SV has seemingly fixed the desync issue plaguing them earlier. They are, at the moment, adding features back into the game since they were removed to pinpoint the afore mentioned issues. The game before they upgraded was not only fun, but completely playable. They are currently fixing the bugs in the upgrade and I have no doubt they will have things back to being extremely fun in the near future. I've tested a lot of betas, and it is never smooth on release day or the days leading up to it. The dev team is small, but I love their vision, and their ideas. I no longer want to play a cookie cutter game, and I'll support any dev team that attempts something off the beaten path. I've already purchased the game and have no worries about its release. It's interesting, however, how much energy rlmccoy wastes on a game he obviously wants no part of. Kind of makes you wonder what his actual agenda is. I think I know, but....meh

Only they didnt fix anything...
Only they did... well if you play the beta they did, if you're just posting on these forums it seems to be a complete opposite.

To the OP, the two groups listed in your topic title are not mutually exclusive.
