We have successfully moved our Tranquility servers to their new location, and Tranquility is scheduled to return to service at 23:00 UTC. Our original plan was to have the Web sites and Tranquility returned to service at 15:00 UTC, however, during the move we discovered network and SAN switch issues, which resulted in an extended service return delay. We have resolved those issues, and are working on returning Tranquility to service as quickly as possible.
Thank you all for your patience while we undertook this necessary server move. For more information about the move itself, please check out CCP Yokai’s dev blog

here since ur blind. This was posted a week ago and every1 could see it. it goes the full info on wat their doin.
So what will June 23 look like?
Here's our current downtime schedule for when TQ will be offline:
0900: All EVE Services go offline. (Web, Forums, Test Servers, EVE Gate, TQ, basically everything hosted in London)
1200: EVE Online web, secure and Test Servers come back online. (all network services reestablished in London. Only TQ should still be down at this time)
Nice to see you read the WHOLE thread... 1500UTC was several hours ago now - they've had lots of delays and it still won't be up for a good while yet - they are now aiming for 2300UTC...

Originally posted by Rockgod99 They can take all the time they want. If this fixes most of the lag issues and brings Eve back to Pre-Dominion Stability im all for waiting a few more hours.
Hahaha, yeah right. The bug that was introduced without hardware change suddenly gets solved my shuffling some racks around.
Btw., who really expected the server to be up early after actually physically moving the whole cluster? Honestly? Give them some time, what they're doing right now is a huge undertaking.
I joined in around the day before RMR launched lol...... and im still here.
Thats the thing you know? These major updates, hardware upgrades ect...they take alot of time, have alot of issiues right. But as we both know Eve is always beeter for it afterwards 5x.
Now there's no expected ETA on the servers going up. Time to catch up on your alt MMO.
Darkfall it is.

database error... really get a separate sevrer for wepage at least !
wantign to try the game for the first time and seeing all that mess.... guess i cant expect anything better fro mthem in the future nether... would have thought that a company of the leading p2p mmo game would handle things better.

Yeah maximizing server performance is just so lame of them......What losers!

Right upgrading servers and putting them in new rooms to maximize their performance is just awful of them. How dare you do this CCP?!
If all CCP is gonna do year after year ...is upgrade hardwares, upgrade graphics, upgrade networks, upgrade game features, upgrade Eve to keep it at cutting edge year after year after year......
And we have to be bothered with a bit of downtime once in a while...well any sane gamer would just be pissed !
Throw in Free Expansions on top of that mess...and Rio i say ..RIOT!!!

generally the game is quite stable and there is not much downtime... you get some big downtime when they upgrade HW or deploy some new expansion, but generally they tells that (as in this case) so you have the time to prepare putting your long skill in the oven :P
But the crazy people have to get a grip and see what a big hardware upgrade this is.....
Also let me point out. Every hardware upgrade CCP has made for Eve over the years has paid off 10x to the bother of waiting for the servers to come back up. What other mmo makes massive hardware upgrades every couple years ....especialy after 7 years running?
The specs on the new system are better than I have at home, but compared to work - hrmm, I keep forgetting that way back - one of the guys ran EVE on a notebook, no? Not the client - the server...
It is amazing in a sense how much CCP can do with relatively so little in comparison to the stuff other companies cram out there. Have to give them overall props for a tight system.
I miss the MMORPG genre. Will a developer ever make one again?
EvE is not your average bear. Its one of the few MMOs that support itself on long term subscription revenue and not quick buck box sales.
I'd agree with a few people. They could get a backup site to a web based server. Granted we wouldnt be here if that was the case but it still is an optics to get that page when you go to eveonline.com I'd also disagree with anyone who says this wont improve Lagg. I have a feeling the lagg we get is a hardware issue and in this spring clean they will put a few new parts in and find some culprits. Also they have said this new system will run alot cooler than the old one and that will improve performance. It might not make the 2000 and up battles any better but it will reduce some of the lagg we see in smaller battles that shouldnt be giving black screen lagg.

Anyone else notice the new server farm looks like Eve? Looks Caldari, cause we sure as hell know its not Minmatar

On the bright side, this is no worse than an average fleet flight.
Give me liberty or give me lasers
My biggest problem is that I want to sign up and play
Still, at least tomorrow I can.... He says with fingers crossed!

"On the bright side, this is no worse than rabies."
Dunno, doesn't sound that positive.
In both cases I can't do anything but complain about not being able to play
But at least this way I wont lose a ship.
Give me liberty or give me lasers
Hah could be much worse then an extended DT thats for sure.
Boot.ini anyone?
Now that was some real Eve downtime lol
It hardly affected anyone in a standard pc configuration.
Red Moon Rising, that was downtime.
I joined in around the day before RMR launched lol...... and im still here.

Come on now the man does have a point.

Burn them all !!!!!
well, 10 hours ago I was with you all. But now I'm starting to get impatient

I am new to eve and if the downtime keeps up my skill que may even end... GASP!
and you know what......
I dont fucking care. They can do whatever they want/need to. The sheer complexity of eve (and its associated DB's) is mind boogling and amazing to me.
Rather than bitch about the down time, I wish i was there moving that shit and seeing it first hand.
Impatient is understandable tbh.
But the crazy people have to get a grip and see what a big hardware upgrade this is.....
