Only one I would love to see is RIFTS from Paladium. By far one of the best RPG's of all time and can have all different classes from almost any type of RPG, and lets face it the amount of books out describing the world is amazing and could create a Great MMO.

I couldn't agree more, A RIFTS MMO would be fantastic!
I would like to see a Might and Magic online, but made like the old ones (big map with things everywheres), between MM8 & MM9 (9 was first in 3d isn`t it?)
Unfortunately Kevin Siembieda from Palladium - RIFTS said he would like another game to be made (for consoles) but the OOC's are far from balanced, and arent meant to be which makes it pretty tough for an MMO. They cant even get the Movie off the ground....
And Mike Pondsmith from Cyberpunk 2020 (Thou doesnt have to be R.Tals version) Wont allow a computer game to be made that isnt the new 203X crap.
Resident Evil: Game would include a world infested with the infected and civilization trying to survive through an economy based on transporting goods through the infected areas among the safe zones. The living can retake and rebuild infected cities based on how successful they are, and lose ground if not. Umbrella or the government provides missions that would drop you and/or your party in the middle of infected cities where you must complete the mission objective and make it to the pickup point but you must survive. If at any point you are "infected" by being killed, you must live your life as a zombie and may return to life after you infect (PK) another another player or until a certain period of time passes.
A Wicked type MMO would be nice. (the books not the stage production) A Firefly type MMO could be good. These are just a few I didn't see mentioned that I thought would be kinda neat.
Dragonlance and forgotten realms either one of those IPs in the hands of an excellent company, and I'd be so happy.
"For the Angel of Death spread his wings on the blast, And breathed in the face of the foe as he passed: And the eyes of the sleepers waxed deadly and chill, And their hearts but once heaved, and for ever grew still!" ~Lord George Gordon Byron
I relly like the idea of a forgotten realms MMO... MechWarrior would be awesome to, I hope they get out of their legal mire and get the mechwarrior reboot out!
I know M&M was run and run again lol.. but no mmo...
It has tons of lore, mythic beasts and quests... it shouldn`t be hard to have it underway and create something valuable and distinctive of what was already created, isn't it? It should just follow the old path, and not the new one (HOMMx and the last single player MMdarkmessiark...).
But I know it won`t happen... not with Ubi holding the brand...
There are a ton of good candidates out there, but I would actually put my hand up for a Harry Potter MMO. It has the potential of something unique and different. Imagine breaking the concept of levels by using grades, four factions, in-game quidditch tournaments. End-game could be what you do when you get out of school.
I'm just a simple dude, so it could likely be even more than what I envision.
The fact is that though the IP has great potential, it would be a game created for the masses and end up little more than a reskin of WoW. While that may not make it a bad game, it would make it a waste of the IP.
First of all, I would have to state that any game to touch upon an IP would have to be for an IP where there is currently no formal continuation of the story taking place. Next, I would have to state that the time period that the game would take place during would have to be after any such story we have already seen.
I do not want another themepark. I do not want to be forced down the path of some story I already know so that on some level beneath many levels of denial I feel like what I am doing matters.
I would want a sandbox set in the world of the IP - not in the story of the IP.
That being said, I can see the possibility (though somewhat loathsome) of a parallel universe where what is taking place currently in additional fiction, movies, etc does not necessarily take place in the game. Unfortunately, I could see this leading to all sorts of petty bickering.
From there, it becomes a case of seeing where certain IPs simply would not work as a MMO. In particular, there are many single player games that are spectacular games - but they would not carry over well into a MMO setting (falling prey to the "too many heroes" factor)...many movies and books will fall into this category as well. Just because we followed along with the adventures of an individual or a small group and enjoyed that thoroughly, does not mean that it would work as a game - think about your favorite movie or book - think about the hero - now say there were thousands upon thousands of heroes there...so yeah.
The more I look at it, the harder it becomes to name an IP that I want to see.
Generally speaking, I end up having to rule out any book or movie that I have seen. They just do not work.
Where does that leave me?
Well, it leaves me with an abundance of IPs from Palladium Books. Splicers, Skraypers, Ninjas & Superspies, Nightspawn (I still think it was stupid to change the name to Nightbane), Dead Reign, etc, etc - many of their "sideline" items.
I miss the MMORPG genre. Will a developer ever make one again?
1. Dark Age of Camelot Two: Golden Age of Camelot. They could unite Midgard, Hib, and Alb - with a few choice classes from each (like it is now with the 6 minute realm faction switch being possible and no realm loyalty left to mention), and give us another two realms - or hey just upgrade the living snot out of DAoC to today's graphical standards (Age of Conan/EQ2 for example).
2. Dragonlance. The books were epic and there's a ton of lore for the World of Krynn. I would prefer something different, however, than the typical 2 realm safe mode mmo - how about a 3 realm mmorpg set in this world? Anyway, the books were pretty much 2 faction but great nonetheless.
3. Maybe a Paladium title
Sci-Fi:
Star Frontiers - great old TSR fantasy/sci-fi crossover.
Gamma-Raiders.
We are in a dark age of mmorpgs at the moment, however. WoW raised the money making bar so high that a small IP has little to no chance to do something unique without fear that the old school gamers won't care and would be overwhelmed by the endless legions of blizzard and turbine pve gamers.
I'd really like to see a good survival-horror mmo, something like a zombie invasion setting, preferably George A. Romero -like, or some kind of alien / monster thing shaped after the Alien series (not the AvP crap).
A cyberpunk mmo based on Ghost in the Shell / Blade Runner would also be cool.
Feel free to use my referral link for SW:TOR if you want to test out the game. You'll get some special unlocks!

Either Tales of X series or Elder Scrolls.
I'd like to see another company try Middle Earth to show Turbine the way it should have been done lol. LOTRO is sooo fail now. *fingers crossed*
"I play Tera for the gameplay"

Can`t think of any other IP right now...
A brand new IP that isnt run into the ground...
But seriously - RIFTS or Cyberpunk.

Firefly would be so great!

Wizard of Oz series or Through the Looking Glass would make for an excellent game. Plenty of lore, unique visual settings.
^^This again and again
Gladiator MMO... With combat like in Mount & Blade.
awesomesauce

Explorer: 87%, Killer: 67%, Achiever: 27%, Socializer: 20%
Without sounding rude i think a gladiator MMO would such hard. Thats basically an MMO set in the roman empire during 140 AD.
Gladiator is fiction but based on real characters and events.
Wing Commander or Star Ship Trooper FTW
Dune, for sure. I'd just worry that it would be ruined!
Fantasy MMORPG:

AAA pokémon MMO.

Might & Magic - Based on the Worlds of Xeen , would be an awsome MMO
