I was 3rd in line at Walmart at 12:01am this morning.  I have to say, it's a really awesome game.  Visually stunning, and the gameplay is very well thought out.  I like it alot more than SC1, and I loved SC1 (still have it on my computer lol)  My only complaint is that the campaign isn't long enough, but I guess that's what happens when you play for 11 hours and only take a break once to go to the bathroom lol.

I'm probably the only one that also doesn't care about campaigns in RTS games. I just don't play them. I typically load up a single player game on a random map against the computer and go at it. Occasionally playing against friends.

Meh, never really liked the first one, would have considered this one if there was some kind of co-op but seeing as there isn't, I don't plan on getting it.

I'm going to play a offline version I got off a torrent until all three versions of SC2 are released (maybe).

Right now I'm a bit worried that my battle net account will get hacked again.

I lost all my old Blizzard games shortly after that moronic WoW/Bnet merger.

I use the Blizzard authenticator and it's great.

Thats how i was hacked back in november. Tried to log in to play Diablo II and found a authenticator put on my account.

Noticed my wow account was actually leveling and then it got banned.

I made an attempt to get it back but forgot my secruity question i set back in 04.

I would pay for the game if i wasnt so worried about getting my account taken over again.

Blizzards too popular and way too much of a target. if i could get hacked, a person that doesnt even use Email, doesnt visit any wierd sites then it could happen too easily to anyone.

MMORPG should rename themselves to MPG (Multiplayer Games) or OnlineGaming.

Starcraft 2 is not a MMO.

Starcraft II? I think ill pass and wait for the next Total War installment as far as rts's go. And why are people even talking about that game here, isnt this an mmo site and not an elementary rts site?

    HAHA HAHAHA, Why so serious...

While I like SC2, I'm upset to see that this site has been paid by Blizzard to advertise for them. There's no other reason a random non-mmo would get news on a site for MMO news twice.

So, when are you going to start posting articles about Call of Duty? Mass Effect? Blazblue? Banjo 360? Panzer Tactics DS? Mario Kart?

There is nothing that warrants this besides money. I go to other game news sites for game news, I go to this for MMO specific stuff. Don't spam my inbox.

It's just an article, get over it. You don't HAVE to read it, nor reply to this thread. But i guess all the haters post cause a RTS game gets mentioned here just for the +1 post count.

WOW isnt great because it has 12 million players. WOW has 12 million players because its great.

I am really having fun with the single player campain in this one.

Another great example of Moore's Law. Give people access to that much space (developers and users alike) and they'll find uses for it that you can never imagine. "640K ought to be enough for anybody" - Bill Gates 1981

How long is the single player campaign? How many missions?

I decided to shoot Blizzard a Email about my compromised battle.net account and they let me choose a password and issue a new authenticator with my Iphone.

Im still listed as banned on WoW since i need to jump through hoops to prove my identity.

All my other games work though.

I purchased SC2 (digital) and its downloading atm (slowest DLer ever!!!!!!)

I just hope the match making service for SC2 lets newbs play newbs lol, i get owned in these types of games.

People seem to forget that blizzard were known for three damn near epic franchises before WoW ever released. Diablo, WC rts and SC were as perfect as you could get. these series were played for years supported by online communities.

I understand the WoW hate but seriously anyone that doesnt give SC2 or Diablo 3 a shot because they hate WoW is completely dense.

I'm worried about getting hacked so i hesitated knowing how popular blizz is and how easily people could get their shit taken.

While I wont be playing WoW or any other Blizz MMO again. I'll be damned if I miss out on SC2, Diablo 3 and later on WC4.

Nah won't buy it. It's hyped into heaven and offers nothing new. It's solid in all ways, but there are many solid games out there and I won't buy all of them.

And yeah: I'm no fan of games that are no MMOs beeing posted about that much from moderators side on this website. Sure, the more SC2 is talked about on a website the more users are looking into it which means money. Still kinda weak... Next we have here articles about the BP oil spill because it attracts user views. :|

    Edit:

And I think WoW is fun and I loved Diablo2. SC2 though is a big disappointment for me.

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

    I don't pre-order anymore.   Period.

I've spent too much money on "turd" games that didn't live up to the hype, and didn't work for months after the release.

So now I let those with more money than sense, buy the game and then tell me if its worth buying or not.

And you know what?  Since taking that approach, I like the games I buy more, and I enjoy them more when I get them ... because I only get fun games, and I only get them after they work.   :)

To add to this, inevitably - you can still get the CE versions - and even get some of those items that were "special" for the pre-order.

Too many games over the years, as Zinderin said - have left folks feeling burned with pre-orders.  While SC2 is unlikely to fall into that category at the level some games have.. it is still tough to overcome that hesitancy.

I miss the MMORPG genre. Will a developer ever make one again?
