There are technical issues (a quest being bugged, an NPC not spawning properly) and MO's technical problems (entire cities deleted in a patch, basic combat does not work properly).
A game like UO, released in 1997 and the first of it's kind pretty much (discounting M59), launched with less problems than MO and an entire world of content. We are not talking minor technical issues either but enormous, glaring examples of poor coding and QA skills. The bugs from launch are still there and show no sign of being fixed. Indeed, the MO team seem incapable of fixing them, trying to pass the buck to Epic.
How is MO getting more technically sound? Combat is worse now than in the closed Beta, that is taking steps backwards not forwards. Can you give examples?
MO is not the only sandbox game, and should not be presented as such by it's fans. There is consumer choice, and that looks like it is being exercised as MO has a player base measured in 100's.

Of cource UO had more content when it was released beacuse they had coding experience from 6 Ultima games previously.
And second, when did SV put in quests?, must have missed that one.
They had zero experience making MMO's, just like SV. However, are you saying that SV has no experience making games and we should just forgive them for an unplayable product and pay them anyway? Don't know about anyone else but I am not a charity.
If I open a bakers and I am a terrible cook, would you eat my bagels? No? Why not, I am a small indie bakers and I am really trying, honest! It's not my fault I can't cook and over 2 years have shown no signs of ever being able to learn to cook. You should buy my bagels while I bitch at you in the shop. After all, that is your argument for playing MO.
Who said SV put in quests? I didn't. I gave an example of a technical issue common in other games and two examples of technical issues in MO - which completely dwarf issues other games have.
I would not give this game another try unless it was f2p or at the very least had a free trial. It just doesn't feel like it warrants a montly fee more than say $5.
I actually want to buy this game. When they had that beta up and going where anyone could join and play it, I actually enjoyed it.
You'd probably still enjoy it, if you enjoyed it back then.
The game still has bugs. And, though they've added content since launch, they still need to add more sandbox content - mostly of the PvE, social, and economic kind, in my opinion. But, it's still fun as it is, at least to me.

lol me and my brother played Roma Victor so, yeah if I could deal with that game I can deal with the bugs this has. Me and my brother liked this game. Soon I'll get this when I get the money.

Well, SV have said they will focus on PvE and social now so we will see the coming weeks. And yes, MO is the most fun MMO (imo) even thou it got bugs (I love the combat) and I also want to recommend it. But it's more to what MMOs was long time ago, no hand holding. So MO definitely deserves a chance.
I've thought about giving MO a try once or twice...but the bottom line is I won't buy ANY MMO sight unseen these days.... especialy one that has had such checkered reviews.
In my book, any MMO company that doesn't have enough confidence in thier product to offer a player the opportunity to try out thier product (even if only for a few days or a limited area) before making a purchase, isn't worth giving a try.

To be fair, they did have a free open beta earlier this year, which did allow people to try the game out without spending any money.
But I understand where you're coming from. They have said in the past they they would likely have a free trial at some point, but they didn't give a definite date. I'm sure someone will post the info here when they start one.

Its seems many of the local "fans" dont have confidence in it either. I asked if the game was ready for a "free trial" in the link below.

Like Rohn said, SV had a Open Beta some months ago, they can't have it every month. Maybe within 3 months there will be a free trial for some days.
With all the corruption in GM ranks, constant bugs and complete lack of solo/PVE content, I will wait another half a year before taking another look at the game.

If it's not broken, you are not innovating.
