My vote went to GW2. I was awaiting SWTOR, but with every news release I have lost interest. Just seems like it will be a bit boring after the first month or so. GW2 seems to be the only MMO coming out that interests me.
Worst of the AAA crowd will undoubtedly be the Star Wars one due to over-hype, only so many ways you can package a game like this. It should have stuck with the client based star wars FPS style conquest games and not this blown up mess.
Terra will appeal to fans of anime and other cultural games. Fact is, even if they do anything to make it more western it still has the anime look and feel to it.
I predict WoW will lose 1/3 of it's subscriber base to Rifts, Guildwars 2, Terra, and the new Comic MMO.
haha, this is the best batch of upcoming MMO's since WOW and EQ2. They all are promising. You saying none of them look promising is much more than pessimistic
TERA looks great, but so far every westernized Korean game has flopped here in the west, I don't see this one being any different, you can fix somethings like grind when you westernize a game, but the inherent design differences in gear and game play still remain.
Rift looks good and could be a game of the year candidate, but we won't know until we play it.
SWTOR has too many compromises in it. They made it for the Wow crowd and that takes it off my list.
GW2 I really like what I have seen of the game, have to say it looks like it it will be better than the competition. So that is what I voted for, but will probably try most of these games.
As to the Blade and Soul adherents, definitely a 2012 release to anyone that knows anything. If you heard 2011, you heard wrong. SWTOR also has a good chance of being 2012 release too.
I voted for GW2. I think it's the only game which will do anything "different" and has the potential.
Rift is very interesting, but I will only know if my fears/hopes are confirmed on Dec 7th.
DC is superhero based, ie a type of game I will not touch with a 3 foot long stick.
SWTOR will not be innovative in any way, it does have a potential to become the new "leader" of standard uninnovative MMOs in around 4-5 years since ideologically it's a re-textured WoW.
TERA is like the another Aion, perhaps better since they have learned and localise it before release. It might be the new "leader" of Anime MMOs in the west after it's released.

Rift is hands down going to be the best mmo to release in a long time. SWTOR has all the potential to be a great title, but my money always lands on the fantasy mmo over scifi. GW2 is limited by the free to play system, some people enjoy that, I do not. Tera is another asian release that I am not interested in.
Lastly I want to say that DCUO is a lot of great fun for what it is and should be a large step forward in the right direction for the comic book genre.
Tough choice for me, I'm looking forward to GW2 because it promises new stuff and I'm ready for a return to a fantasy game after 3+ years of EVE. But c'mon, its SWTOR is Star Wars, and I totally missed the first go around with that franchise and I'm not missing the boat this time.
I had to ask myself, if they both release at the same time, which one would you play first?

Wow way too much over hyping of GW2. A lot of you guys are going to be dissapointed. If you don't love GW1 and you think GW2 will be the best MMO ever you are delusional.
Rift for me, and I love GW1, have hundreds of hours in it, still play it, and am stoked about GW2.

None of this comment makes very much sense to me. I think we can all agree here that GW2 is VASTLY different from GW1, and on top of that you end with "Rift" even though you dont give any reason for it, and even afterwards you state how you love GW1 and are stoked for GW2?
Why wouldnt you pick GW2 then? Why did you pick Rift?
I think theres "Overhyping" but choosing Rift just because its an indie game and not a big time production is a little ridiculous. I mean im sorry im looking forward to Rift too, but everything weve seen about GW2 is light years beyond Rift.
GW2 gets my vote, my main complaint with GW1 was that it didnt have any open world elements and had terrible movement controls, so far all ive seen of GW2 has proven to fix those problems.

Since you allready tried them both i assume...
Im pretty sure you can watch any of the hundreds of demo videos out there and make an informed opinion on the differences between both games....
What a rediculous, flawed statement. Really this one is used way to often. Like you can tell nothing from gaemplay videos or dev interviews. All point out that it will be entirely different from GW1 on many grounds.
The "not out yet, so you do not know yet" argument is wrongly overused.

Because it is ridiculous to say 'Rift hands down' like my opinion makes up the whole pole. Rift is not indy, it is being developed by Trion along side 2 other MMO's. It is rumored to be 100 million + dollar budget.
Rift is a traditional MMO. I love the Guild Wars franchise, but I am more excited about Rift and I anticipate it more. All of these people jumping on the Guild Wars bandwagon that probably barely played or didn't like Guild Wars 1 are going to overhype it and dissapoint themselves. I have seen plenty of videos on GW2 and know all about what they are adding. I guarantee it won't live up to the hype of all these people. No clue why it is this hyped in the first place besides maybe the way they have been hyping it.
It will be a solid game, but it won't replace your top AAA MMO for more than 2-3 months.

For me voting on GW2 was pretty obvious.
My personal choices:
1. Swtor
2. Rift
3. GW2
Likely outcome:
Close call between
1. SWTOR
2. GW2
Very close call between TOR and GW2. I would have to give the nod to TOR though...I just have a feeling about it.
SWTOR
GW2
TERA
Rift
That superhero one.
Lucky for me there are several categories.
Best payed would be RIFTS
Best free to play would be Guildwars 2

Gotta go with GDubya2 on this one.
We all know Tera will e the best no matter what you guys vote
TERA and GW2 are tied for me, but i'll be trying them all.
Guild Wars 2
This is a bit obvious tho, you just need to look in the hype meter to see the results xD

Definitely SWTOR comes first, though I admit GW2 is a close call.

Man, it's a hard choice between TERA, SWTOR and GW2 for me. Ended up choosing TERA, though.
I chose Tera.
