The operating expenses of a business aren't necessarily related to their stock prices. The stock price could drop to $0.01 and the company itself could truck along just fine.
But SV has been loosing money since release, so "trucking along" doesnt seem probable. They cant continue long without an influx of funds and selling shares at this point doesnt seem viable.
I don't think they are trucking along, but income from their subscriptions could be covering their operating expenses including any loans, even if just barely. It could be why their devs are so irritable. They've been eating ramen noodles for months.
They won't be able to get loans, and they won't be able to make any large investments in new equipment or a bunch of contract workers, but they could continue just as they are forever regardless of stock price.
Edit: This may be the rare case where the stock price actually has something to do with the company's performance as a whole instead of the company's ability to manipulate their image.
I can not remember winning or losing a single debate on the internet.

If you read the report referenced in the OP you would clearly see that their expenses are > than their income for the quarter. This means that since the game has released they have lost money... so no.. they cannot continue just as they are forever.

When I said they are loosing money, that wasn't speculation. SV made a litttle money with initial games sales, but its been downhill since. ie MO can not support itself on subsciptions. The Q3 report is in the first post and this has been covered throught this thread. I highly doubt any at SV are eating ramen.

It is simply not possible for them to operate without any money at all. The employees' checks are getting cashed or they wouldn't still be there. You can have employees working for free for only so long before they revolt and leave. They have to be eating something, even if it's not ramen noodles.
Either they have money stashed away for just such a time, or they are not paying some bills or both. They will either improve the game and get subscriptions, con somebody into giving them a loan or invest in the company, or they'll fold. There's not a whole lot of ways it can play out. It could take a long time to play out though, depending on how much money padding they have.

Do you have any evidence to back up your claim that SV are doing fine? What do you mean by fine? That their game works? That their game is on track with respects to development? That they have increasing numbers of players?
If I handed in a chart like that at uni they'd rip it up, give me a 0 and laugh. Seriously, topic has been beaten to death by now.
Starvaults viability as a company is hardly a one dicussion topic, its ever changing and relevant to MO players both current and future. Information regarding SV financial well being may influence current players subscription plans and new players purchase plans.
Seems the downward trend has continued since the poor Q3 report.
You are missing something from your chart. Because, without it, this chart means nothing.
It should be very apparent to anyone that actually read the thread.
Where is the key/legend/data? All this chart tells me is that there is some numbers, lines, and dates on a piece of paper. What dose the blue line mean? The orange bars that that skip ever so often.

Not having a legend I can easily tell that the BLUE line is share price and the RED Bars are share volume...
This is a chart from the stock market page where the SV stock is hosted. There is a link earlier in the thread. Feel free to visit the sight and read up.

Withour a legend a chart is meaningless. Because I can interpret the any way I choose then. So, somebody is going to post a chart at copy the legend. So, I am calling bullshit on this chart.
Do not forget there are a lot of people who are paying a sub and not playing the game at all waiting for the game to meet the potential they lay on it. It seems the average fanboy has an almost religious fervor for SV.
If you want FFA Full Loot PvP to EVER be considered by a developer in the future, I'd suggest becoming a much bigger MO fan right quick.
If MO and DF fail, it's the last you'll EVER see of FFA PvP in an MMO.

values on the left and in blue are share values in ske (the Swedish currency), the values on the right and in red are volume of trades per day. As you can see, the blue line shows change in the stock values and the red columns the volume of shares traded on a given day. Volumes are also grouped into weekly slices. I hope I've cleared this up for you.
EDIT: Robsolf, I disagree with you. It is not a failure in genre or player tasted but rather a failure in execution. Just an IMO.
Says who? It will probably be the end of indy companies making half broken half pie-in-the-sky (soon TM) games and selling hope to players. FFA full loot PVP games are an idea, and ideas never die. It will get ressurected by a real company sooner or later, hopefully they'll code a lot better then SV.
Try unpacking their game in the UDK. It's not even MMO-code, its similar to basic BB code. Awesome PS3 & XBox controls included too, SV expanding to more market or just pure incompetence? ^^

What does this all mean?
It means Starvault is not a smart investment at the moment.
It means if you invest in Starvault now, you will probably lose money. If you have already invested, you have already lost.
