Okay so im not sure if anyone else has read the GW2 lead-up books, but anyway, in the books they mention a profession not mentioned on the GW2 professions page. Queen Jennah is a MESMER....... so that will be one of them. Oh, and my bro thinks the charr like thing silhouette will be a Pirate or a Sailor.

people need to look at how they released the classes... arenanet released a caster, then a "tank" type, then range... so ele/war/ranger.... then they did it again... nec/guardian/theif... so final two will be a caster and a tank type melee... nay not tank... id say a berserker type class... never played deep into GW1 but im thinknig somewhere along the derv guys... huge blade with more skills towards hitting multiple enemies... def mes for last caster class tho... and remember this is just the starting classes... they will have expacs that will prolly release more classes later...

They have stated that there is no pattern to the reveals. There will also most likely not be more classes later on. As for the big guy with the AoEs, the warrior and guardian have that covered.

why do you say there will not be any more classes?  Anet has added 4 more classes to their orginal game, What makes you think that in the life span of Guild Wars2 there will be no updates or expansions that add more classes?

Adding new classes in Guild Wars created balancing nightmares for ArenaNet. I'm pretty sure they don't want to repeat their mistakes.

Because Guild Wars is the only thing to ever suffer a balancing nightmare from an expansion. Fact of the matter is all games suffer the same issue. So is expanding the game then a mistake? Lets just stop releasing expansions and new content and skills because it will all just be unbalanced then.

Arena.Net is smart enough to differentiate skills into PvP and PvE versions if they need to, which is something Blizzard is far too dense and stupid to realize is the only thing you can do to ever come close to "balanced". So its darn near mentally challenged to assume they'll never add new classes.

If 8 classes aren't enough for anyone then you'll never be satisfied, ever.

They have announced how the 8 classes will be spread over the armor classes. 2 heavy armor types (Warrior, Guardian), 3 medium armor types (Ranger, Thief, X), 3 light armor types (Elementalist, Necromancer, most likely Mesmer)

Check the articles in the official blog.

first off the engineer class is def out for the simple fact that 2 of the races pretty much shun technology... (the sylvari and the norn)... that being said nothing is set in stone also... they could go back and make changes to other classes to make the new class work and vice-versa... id have to say the last caster is gunna have to be a mesmer type.. maybe mixed with some ritualist... only thing i can be certain on is the fact that they are going for the best... arenanet also claimed the game will be done when its done... they have released info about public testing (cant think of the exact name at the moment had a brain fart lol) this year but i think if they feel not at 100% they will withhold many of them... i take back the other class being a heavy armor class but from the shadow it looks like he has some type of wooden plank on his back...  the female figure looks to have a staff or maybe totem next to her... i believe the route they went with the rogue as far as stealing unique items from mobs they might go that route with the last melee class (meaning not really spells more physical dmg) and be able to maybe pick up items from the world like after smashing the ground picking up a boulder and being able to use the next skill... or a tree trunk... just ideas doubt its true but would be unique and not out of reach... :)

I hope the mesmer will finally be able to weild sabres like they do in all of the portraits Anet ever released of them for GW1!

Imagine a mesmer killing it with a sabre + Illusionary Weaponry combo... I'd be in heaven.  Sure, they'll have light armor and won't be suitable for front line combat, but I'm sure Anet could figure out a way for them to conjure up some more armor or something ;)

    Mesmerphile forever!

The Shaman/Druid Idea would work, but only if they made it a Variety type class. Like a one of a kind per race. For example:

Norn: Druid = Bear form, wolf form ectra.. (Shape change)

Charr: Shaman = Ritulist binding (Ritulist skills)

Human: Mesmer = Same as GuildWars. (Mesmer skills)

Asuran: Illusionist = Abiltiy to cause nightmares (Debuffs)

Sylvari: Prophets = Something like a pargon (Armor and speed boost)

    _____________

But this is just my idea of making some diversity. Cause to me some diversity between races would be nice. I mean something only one race can learn would be a unique feature to the game. And then each race may have it's own little trump card in a GvG battle between the races.

*None of this may be ingame, this is all just thought of a player*

PS. If i miss spelled I'm sorry I didn't proof read.

Yeah but they doing full body shape change, I would suggest just like partial change like arms of the bear to increase attack strength. Or legs for speed. As well as giving them a pet for this class as well.
