This will have the side effect of encouraging players to group and find balanced groups. It will also make it so that you can be a low level player with a high amount of skill and still perform well.
this sounds like its getting close to "LFM tank healer dps" making trying to group a PITA, especially with the plans to deparate players by district Not really. I don't think we want to go that far with it at all. But we do want you to feel like you are better off with a friend. At the same time we don't want to kill solo play (and I think there is still many options that are available for that as well as you progress), though we want you to get out, meet people and have fun together.
The thing we know about our game is that it really shines when you are playing with others so we want to encourage that whenever possible.
hi i was wondering if there was going to be more things to do in social i know the stuff u can do now as i played apb before u guys jumped in on it i mean org houses and stuff maybe even some games and stuff
We are seriously discussing making a new Social District with a casino and other things you can do with other players. You know, making it more Social than it is now. That probably won't go live any time soon but it is something we really want to do.
A Vegas style or Atlantic City style district would be awesome. I hope something comes of it sometime in the future.
Basically that is what we are thinking. I'd also like an area where you can throw down your ride. Pop the hood and get a couple of hot chicks hanging all over it. Basically really show off with your friends. Of course there needs to be a "why" for things like that and we're discussing all that as well. Meaning, what do you get for showing off or making a system where players can vote who has the best look.
We're also working on a DJ Battle system with the same idea. You mix in real time and players can vote to say who is doing a better job.
Hey add in drag races with the car shows... Winners receive in-game currency usable to further customize or get that gun/flak jak they've been saving up for.

I would love something like this, something other than just a place to make designs and buy clothes. A nice big casino district with lots of activites and car shows etc. when players want a break. Would be great for this to become reality, i sometimes feel like i want to do something other than design or drive around doing the same missions.

they have several thing planned including matchmaking, how are players categorized, how powerful players get with gear Good, I can't believe RTW didn't even have a matchmaking system, that was a no-brainer. I remember my first day of playing the original APB I was matched up against a player with fully upgraded equipment, and I was still getting used to the control scheme. Things did not end well, but my subscription ended soon after it happened multiple times.
What drugs were RTW on and why won't they share?
APB:Reloaded is sounding better and better, I'm glad somebody competent picked up this rough diamond and decided to give it some much needed polish.
First off, I haven't had a chance to play this game when it was released at first due to a new MoBo problem for the computer I put together. I'd like to see more customization that sets apart other games by far like uploading your own pictures to use as tattoos or a design kit for clothing that you can download and upload to the community. Anyways here is the question: I heard there is a said DJ option that might be released are you letting us upload our own mp3s to a set storage and then if you want more storage space the player would have to buy into a monthly fee with several storage options?

I think the reality is there are players who like just hanging out in the social district. We want to appeal to as many people as possible.

Originally posted by robogranny For people who bought APB when RTW were the producers, will we get any sort of in-game bonus, or anything on the lines of that?
We have some thoughts on this. Once we've finalized them we'll announce them. That will probably happen very close to commercial launch in August.
i love the idea of racing- adds a new gametype to APB, that will hopefully feel completely different than grindin' contacts and shootin'. Once all the balance issues and important bug fixes are completed I (and many others) are very excited to try things like this out...
Bjorn said in the comments from the last blog, @GamersLast (nice name btw) - well yes - we have recently been banning people caught cheating quite aggressively, except for the ones we have left in to gather more data from. Now you can be nice and ask questions that people wanna get answered, not attention grabbing nobodies
Originally posted by AuRevoirTune 1. Will G1 ever consider reverting back to patch RTW's patch 1.4.3 weapon balance? Polls and the common veteran proves the majority would like the old weapon balance back. Every poll shows 70% want old system, 20% like the current one (half that I talked to didn't even play RTW) and 10% don't even understand what the subject is about. All you're doing is making it easier for us higher skilled players to kill the underskilled players, and making equal skill gameplay much more boring due to the 2 second twitch shooting combat.
What polls, where? We do know the new Time To Kill (TTK) has been controversial and we're looking at that. Other than that the weapon balance is in a better place in the 1.5 build.
Originally posted by AuRevoirTune 2. What are the technical difficulties motorcycles would have? They can even be a cash shop item, would be good for sales.
Way too many to list. Suffice it to say, this isn't like adding a new vehicle. It is something we'd like to do, however the amount of effort it would take to make it work doesn't seem to be worthwhile. For instance, at the moment it would take as long or longer to add motorcycles than it would to add a new district (level of difficulty wise).
Originally posted by AuRevoirTune 3. Will the prices of vehicles be fixed? Funny how a Vegas G20 preset with 2-3 upgrades costs 45k, or a jericho v20 with upgrades costs 90k, yet the customizable no slot costs 135k.
The 1.5 build has a pass at pricing as well.
Originally posted by AuRevoirTune 4. Will vehicle preset upgrades make sense? Jericho, vegas, cisco, bishada, and mikro should have their upgrades be Nitrous and fast repair, since they are fast cars obviously a speed increasing upgrade is wanted. Pioneer and the vans+trucks should have the reduced weapon damage upgrade, reduced collision damage upgrade, mobile resupply, and extra cargo upgrade, since they are the bigger vehicles, players want them to be more destructive and shield good.
I really don't feel I can answer this right now. But I hear your concern.
Originally posted by AuRevoirTune 5. Will some major bugs/problems be fixed? Glitch spots, auto-eject when mission starts, people outside mission being able to ram a random car into you causing you to die, people sitting on top of vehicle spawn or parked in front of the car spawn device to disallow you from spawning your car, parking vehicles on/in front of objectives, and ability to use an opposite faction's mailbox since it defeats purpose of not allowing you to use joker machine and such since you can still do same function with the mailbox.
I've yet to receive the final patch notes as our Dev Producer Scott0mon has been very busy with the build, however I am aware that a few of those things you listed have been corrected in 1.5. You list "glich spots" which is difficutlt to identify what you mean by that to say the least. But there are many other fixes in this build.
I should probably shoot myself for asking this question, if I dont someone will. How come the closed beta for the EU has been delayed so much? I waas told it should have been out weeks ago
Originally posted by the420kid Neume will the 1.5 patch be its own new client or just a patch to the client we all could publicly download?
If you currently have any version of APB installed it will patch to the 1.5 update. We will also be releasing the new version as a stand alone installer on several partner websites (like Fileplanet, CNET and BigDownload).

We've been inviting players from the EU since day 1 of closed beta. Last week we pulled up the EU servers and people have been playing there ever since.
We have not added new players to the game yet because we are planning to release a large patch and it wouldn't make sense to add people to download 7 gigs, then a few days later tell them to download 5 more gigs.
So...I've got this thing in the back of my room. Its called the Original APB box. Includes this mythical CD with APB on it.
Do i get anything for being someone who purchased APB before (When RTW was in charge)?
I remember early on, there were benifits, but these slowly got hidden behind the talk of what was new / what new players would get / what premium players would get.
