Your favourite skill from a (MMO)RPG?

TyrxzTyrxz Member Posts: 329

So I was wondering. After seeing this video about the teleport skill the thief has, I couldn't help but wonder if anyone else has a favourite skill from a game. Wether it be because of the particle effects, the animation, the sound or the whole lot in one masterpiece! So tell me why you like the skill and maybe link a picture or a video so others can see.

I really like the teleport skill, mainly because of the whole black circle thingy that comes out when you execute it. And then mixed in with the fact that the skills makes almost no sound at all! The sound from the bow and the little "wooaaohh.." just makes this skill my favourite I've seen so far!

So, what's your favourite skill?

I always liked gadgeteering from the wizardry series of games

combining different bits of electrical / mechanical equipment to form equipment that "cast" spells

like making something that could ressurect slain characters from a voltage transformer and paddles ;p (electro shocker for example)

Also, mine remains the same- Melanie's Mellifluous Motion from EQ1: A chaotic chorus that causes your group to randomly teleport short distances. So much fun, even sober!

Kick to nuts - swtor. That skill alone made me wanna play swtor more than guild wars 2.

<chuckle> The kick attack in EQ always looked like I was giving the foe a quick "Roshambau". I agree with Castillle, nothing like "bringing your enemy low."

Repulse from Age of Conan; as a priest/healer you are incredibly squishy, so a 360 degree AOE knock back which knocks people on their ass and deals some damage is a great help!

From all these awful MMORPGs I've tried in the last several years:

"EXIT GAME" and then finding the "CANCEL" button.

"I have only two out of my company and 20 out of some other company. We need support, but it is almost suicide to try to get it here as we are swept by machine gun fire and a constant barrage is on us. I have no one on my left and only a few on my right. I will hold." Without a doubt, Sense Heading from EverQuest.

Combine that with Kick and Taunt as a warrior and you have one one bad-ass trifecta of skills.

Guild Wars - Dwarven Battle Stance. In pvp, with the build I have, almost every melee combatant I come across will flee after a two cycles of bar. Its pretty hilarious and sometimes, groan inducing "Oh, c'mon! Let me just flipping kill you!"

DCUO- Horrific Visage. Very hilarious in PvE and even more so in PvP. I don't know why but everytime I use this on someone in PvP they tend to not know WTH is going on until they are dead.

    This is not a game.

technically it's not a skill, but it's a result of killing someone with a skill.  AoC fatalities...I just wish there were more than a handful for each weapon/spell type.  Other than that, I used to like warlock's summon infernal in the orginal WoW.  I loved casting it in ironforge and watching the noobs run for thier lives hehe :)

For me it was my EQ1bards speed movement run skill Selo's Accelerando.

Second was my EQ1 beastlord skill that called my spirit tiger pet to my side.

Third would be my levitation buffs in EQ1 and Vanguard. I remember when i first made my way to Crystal Caverns EQ1 eastern waste,i had to levi my beastlord all the way down to the button floor.
