The wait is over sounds epic, but isn't it stupid to pre order the game when realise date is still unknown. may be it will be delayed or smth who knows.

If you don't get charged to preorder no it isn't stupid, especially if you want one of the CE they'll get ordered up fast.

Silly Dutch retailers didn't have anything so far so I went with good ol' play.com. I'd like a physical copy if the digital version costs the same, bar a couple of silly items.

whats the point of pre-order if you dont get charged for it? dont be silly, you'll pay now and receive the game when its out...

The digital pre-order on Origin.com is not available "in my region" (Australia).  Shame.

With GAME you aren't charged until it's actually released for delivery.

Your charged now? Then it sucks to be you.

Will I be charged for my pre-order?

Pre-order charges will vary by retailer. In most cases, upon purchase of your pre-order you will be charged an advance payment. Pre-order charges vary by country, so check with your preferred video game retailer for exact details.

The recommended advance payment price for Standard and Digital Deluxe Edition is $5 (USD)/ £5 / €5. The recommended advance payment price for Collector’s Edition is $20 (USD)/ £15 / €20. (Prices and currencies may vary by country.)

That is from the Pre-Order FAQ.  However on the SWTOR forums, many people are stating they are being charged the full amount when ordered from EA.

Just a heads up, if you pre-ordered from GAME UK the pre-order codes are being sent out in a weeks time on Thursday, I'm just off the phone to them about it.

    Brain melted. Hmm, hype overdosage.

Yeah I was just looking at the order screen for it and it looks like your getting charged extra to preorder as well as the retail price now...

    Possibly a bug...well you'd hope anyway :)

Surprised by how excited I actualy am. Even so, not splashing out for the collectors edition. I will be happy with just the standard release. Hard to belive is actualy hapening after all these years.

I preordered the digital version from Origin and got 2 emails - one saying my preorder request had been received and another with an order confirmation and order number.

The order confirmation email tells me to go redeem my preorder code, but there isn't one in that email, or the first email. Did anyone else have this happen? I found it a bit strange to get confirmation of an order and told to go register with the "serial code above" and there isn't one...

What recent two years of  "MMOs with potential" have taught me is that I will never preorder a MMO again.

I preordered the digital version as well. I believe you need to put in your "Digital Rights" Code in the second email you received.
