I'll figure out which of the two branches I want to go when I get to that point. But the Republic needs good soldiers to fight off soon to be massive numbers of Darth Maul fans.
i was thinking if i get into the beta this Sept. I would roll with a trooper. And That way i can be exceited about making a jedi when realse goes out and i can also look forward to building my first lightsaber.
Obviously I will be staying with the Sith Empire, but Bioware had to go and make all the classes look and sound like so much fun that I will probably end up flipping a coin or something.
As a kid, seeing the very first Star Wars movie, I wanted to be a Jedi Knight.
Didn't want to be Han Solo at all, not Darth Vader, not Uncle Owen, not Boba Fett.
Just a Jedi Knight.
so that's what I will be.
Just out of curiosity, I feel the same (Was 9 in '77) but part of it was the unique exclusiveness of it. How would you feel about not being able to turn around without bumping into someone waving a lightsaber around? I want to be a jk for the same reason as you, but the the obvious popularity of it is making me think twice. I may roll a moisture farmer
I'm having a hard time deciding between Sith Warrior and Republic Commando. I will spend many hours staring at the class creation screen before I am able to make a decision.
Side note: It seems as if this board is overwhelmed with people who plan to play Sith.
Imperial Agent all the way, from the get go the IA was my class of choice mostly due to lore reasons. I have always found the secret, covert agents that manipulate events from behind the scenes the greatest draw with the Star Wars universe, the characters that infiltrate the highest echelons of the republic and the jedi waiting centuries in advance for that one moment when they can finally reveal the greatest deception.

Heh yup I am somewhat expecting in world PvP to just get outright zerged as a Republic character. Than again, this is only a poll of people who frequent mmo forums, never know how others will play. I suppose in the end its all the more Sith for my Trooper to die to err kill.=p
Bounty Hunter all the way, but not sure which advanced class. I was leaning to Powertech at first but I think I am maybe leaning towards Mercenary now.

If i ever get to play this game, i would like to play as a Jedi Conselor(Shadow) or Sith Inquisitor(Assassin or Sorcerer either one's cool
