To be honest.. The gameplay didn't look cool at all. The cutscenes felt smooth at least but besides that it didn't make me want to play it. =/

Always glad to hear there are not that many fence sitters when it comes to this title. It will be nice not to have so many complainers actually in game at launch. My hope is that individuals that consistantly talk garbage about TOR will not waffle, stick to their guns, and not buy the game at lauch just so they can spam chat channels and forums with endless whining. If you don't like the title. Don't buy it and move on. Pretty simple. The game is going to be a huge success regardless.

I am sorry, but that screenshot of VERY cartoony characters, one of them having unrealistically stupid body build makes me puke.

Bioware...what happened to you? Ever since ME 2 came out you have been plain activisioning your fanbase.

I wasn't really impressed, right up to the airlock scene. That was brutal! Never expected such a harsh choice to make on the republic side.

YES! The animations look so much better now. That video was awesome, looks like a ton of fun. Can't wait for this game! It sounds cliche but everytime I see a video of TOR I realize this is everything I've ever wanted in a game.

But not the rabid type. I actually respect the opinions of others, even if I don't agree.

    I'm rambling now...excitement.

Bottom line: can't wait for this.

It was one of the better videos of SWTOR that I've seen. I'm still not a fan of the animations and clone wars look but whatever. The dark side choice was pretty good though.

I liked it. I thought the combat was similar to most games which ofcourse the majority is used to by now.  Looked good, hopefully many get in the preview weekends!

Very good update, looks like we're getting closer to septembre, they are revealing more every weeks! Friday updates are now fun!

Liked it, I wish they would have the mob fall back and fire instead of standing there firing pointblank.

Everything but the combat looked good, or at least decent.  Man does it look boring to fight though.

I thought it looked fun. I can't wait to play through that with friends. That is really harsh choice you have to make and I hope the game is full of those moments.

    Looks good.

Don't get me wrong, I still look forward to this game a lot, but this didn't look so thrilling.

    - the 4 heroes too often were attacking 1 or 2 mobs; how was that heroic?

    - somehow I would expect a larger battle on that ship: the Empire is boarding the ship and they only send ONE officer, who managed to keep FOUR heroes busy?

    - group combat mobs here looked a bit stagnant

    Hm.

I think this is just a case of videos always look boring and you dont get any feel for the game unless you're the one playing it.  That will tell if you're still bored or having fun.

It looks worse by every new gameplay video they show.

Combat is as static as 2004 MMOs , EQ2 for example. Graphics tries to be as low-poly as possible, even shadows are non existant. All in order to keep the game optimised for mass consumers.

Smugler class is so badly designed its laughable. (even the players that played the "demo" hated it)

In a way I am glad they decided to price the game 60$

This way I will not be tempted to "give it a try"

    What a shame for Bioware

This game looks so bad, I have a feeling we'll laugh a lot. May im wrong, but i doubt...

For those who do not know, a forum is a place where people talk, give their opinions, whether good or bad, If you are not ready to face people with different opinions, you should not come in one.

One of the best looking mmos to date! The combat is NOT static, and the so called demo and people that hated the game is untrue, actualy people loved the game. I'm glad that these guys don't like the game, they can stick with aging wow while we have our swtor!!

I see a few people are beginning to question the story driven / group dialogue aspect?

What happens when someone goes AFK?

What happens when there is a Griefer?  (eg a Darkside Player in a Lightside party and he wins a couple of rolls?)

I can see the chat channels now:

Player>> LFG.  Jedi (LS) for 'The Esseles' absolutely NO DARK SIDE.

Also it looks like the gameplay speed will be dominated by the slowest player and regulated by the dialogue cut scenes.

Power gamers might not take to that too well?

    Wait and see.

Nothing says irony like spelling ideot wrong.

Gyrus, you bring up some interesting points but as far as I know they already said it's going to be on a timer to prevent afks, and you get LS/DS points based on what YOU picked, regardless of which roll wins. Also I don't think this game is intended for "power gamers" anyway.

Well, in one of the interviews the first two items were discussed. I can't recall who or where but they said they had something to deal with AFKs and the darksider deal is that you get the dark or light side points for YOUR choice. In the event of the flashpoint shown all players chose the same way. So you can't get "griefed" I guess with dark side points you did not want.

As far as being regulated by the slowest player that happens now. That is one of the reason people are so picky in forming raid groups and even PUGs for dungeons in various games.

when in a group conversation there is a timer for picking a choice so if someone goes afk then they just don't get a dialogue roll

Being only level 9, the chance to feel a quest instead of running right through it wsn't all that bad. In Rift, when you reached a level to advance to your next *stage* you had to fight a few mobs in a rift.

    I know I will finish my *paid* sub with Rift... but will my next be TOR?> as several have said; with the amountg of money that has been poured into this game, I was sadened by the gameplay & graphics;

    we wil see
