Empire all the way. Han Solo kicking ass all over the movie, Luke (and the audience) learning what it really means to become a Jedi, Vader in full menace mode (not like in A New Hope where you get the feeling he plays second fiddle to Tarkin), the infamous carbonite freezer scene where Leah admits her love and Han just cockily says, "I know"...
None of the other Star Wars movies can ever beat my experience of watching a new hope as a little boy.
Empire is a close second but from there it's all down hill.
I can feel your anger. This game is defenseless. Take your weapon. Strike this game down with all of your hatred, and your journey towards towards the Dark Side will be complete.
Empire. This was Solo's Movie. He was the missing element in the prequels. A mortal, flawed protagonist we could all relate to. All hope lost, self sacrafice, self doubt, further exposure into the motications of Vader. Really top notch flick.
Instead we got Jar Jar Binks. Big let down.

I dunno, after seeing the banner in the OP's quote, I kind of want to see a force attuned gungan that strayed a little too far from his master's teachings.

I can't really say wich one I liked the best. Liked em all. And wish ol G. Lucas would put another in theaters but....
Maybe what Bioware should do is give us a movie about SW:TOR cause I did'nt much care for their 2 single player rpg games. Maybe that's why I'm so WGaS about this mmo. At least they could have done Clone Wars. Or why not in the future like 50 years post Lukes death or something. What is the next Star Wars game gonna be..set 20,000 years before Darth Vader ? Hope the game is a success but really...it's gonna have to be a real good mmo.
Jymm Byuu Playing : Blood Bowl. Waiting for 2. Holding breath for Archeage and EQN.
New Hope second, but the series goes to crap after that.
Jedi replaced Wookies with Ewoks for a marketing push
All the recent garbage had Jar Jar
SWTOR. Face it, in the Scooby Doo Mystery Solving Van of coolness, this game is Velma. In this current MMO climate it has about as much chance for survival as a group of inquisitive teenagers in a 1980s slasher flick. -Tardcore May, 2011
Empire Strikes Back. All the moth**f***ing way. Ep.IV/ANH makes a good run also.
I loved ESB the most because it wasn't a typical movie / movie sequel: The goodguys get their butts handed to them and makes the Empire more dangerous, even coming off the disaster of losing the Death Star at Yavin IV. Goodguys are only as good as the Badguys. What's the point of villains if they're incompetent or weak? The main characters really shine in this movie. Han Solo is a better character (he was already great in ANH/Ep.IV). Vader becomes a better badass (and finally got to force choke someone for good). Fighting on the ground and space was outstanding. The tensity of the fight between Vader and Luke, and how Vader eventually starts toying with him. Oh, and Boba Fett gets some time (and shots in) and we also got Capt/Adm Piett.
Alot of the OT's vehicles get great screentime or are depicted for the first time. AT-AT, AT-ST, X-Wings, Snowspeeders, TIEs, etc. The M.Falcon get great screentime and the Star Destroyer becomes THE icon of Imperial military might. The Executor / Super Star Destroyer is first shown.
So, in ESB, we have Star Wars characters at their best than in any other SW movie, glorious shots and scenes with famed SW vehicles in both ground and space, the story developing unlike alot of other movies. In the end, there's absolutely no other way any other SW show or movie can top ESB. Unless George Lucas / Lucasfilm sh*ts out a truly miraculous, new movie or show, ESB eclipses all others in the franchise.
Hands down, without fail.

The Empires Strike Back Original and Remastered, followed by A New Hope Original Only and Return of the Jedi Original Only.
Wildstar (2013) & Elder Scroll Online (2013)
Playing: Diablo 3, WOW, Far Cry 3 & X-Com.
Enjoyed: WOW 5 1/2 yrs, LOTRO 3yrs, GW 1/2yr, DFO 1yr, EVE Online 3yrs, and Huxley (Beta).
Failed to impress: GW2 3months, Tera Online 6 months (best combat system in any MMO I've played) STO 1/4yr, Aion 1/2yr, AoC 1yr, CO, Fallen Earth, DDO, EQ2 1/2yr, WAR 1/2yr, Lineage 2 and FF XI 1/2yr, FF XIV.
The fact thst more people voted for Return of the Jedi than A New Hope makes me very sad. Here is how I personally rank them:
#1: Empire Strikes Back
#2: A New Hope
#3: Revenge of the Sith
#4: Attack of the Clones
#5: The Phantom Menace
#6: Return of the Jedi
Sorry, I just hate Ewoks.
You hate Ewoks more than Gungans ? I hated the Gungans in TPM.
EPS 1-3 were ok but I cant see any of them rating higher than the original trilogy for me personally. I Eps 1-3 I liked how we got to see jedi fighting in their prime, I liked how we got to see big battle scenes & Darth Maul & Fango Fett were purely bad ass in a way similar to Boba Fett in the original trilogy.
But Ewoks were easier to tolerate than Gungans IMHO.
Because, I seen it in the Cinima around 1978, just on a few of my mates going on about it, and when I sat down and it started with that huge star destroyer I was already hooked.
sad that it went from no budget greatness to that lump of wood Aniken "oh I forgot master you dont like to fly" wooden no acting moron!
I saw ESB when I was about 7. It hit me in the gut and I loved it. I had no idea that movies could end on a "down ending" like that. It still holds up the best in my opinion.
Just remember what ol' Jack Burton does when the earth quakes, and the poison arrows fall from the sky, and the pillars of Heaven shake. Yeah, Jack Burton just looks that big ol' storm right square in the eye and he says, "Give me your best shot, pal. I can take it."
Although it does feel like a in the middle movie and story, Star Wars is a bit to simple and Return of the Jedi is to commercial with the stupid Ewoks. You already can see George Lucas selling out the series in that film.
I am talking about the Theater/VHS releases off course. The DVD/remastered versions can suck my balls.
I mean, that remastered version dancing muppets scene at Jabba the Hut, WTF!
And Han Solo DID shoot first!
Furthermore; there are only THREE Star Wars films.
I'm not counting the Ewok flick they did and the holiday special.
And they were better then the newer garbage they released under the Star Wars name.
Off topic; there are only THREE Indiana Jones films as well.
Empire Strikes Back of course. Best plot and tension of all the SW movies, great exposition of the wider world of Star Wars (from Dagobah to the Force training to walking tanks, the AT-AT's), overall just the better movie. Sequels can beat the original movies! (well, not in the case of the Matrix and so many other IP's though)

Man, what a great film.
revenge of the shit
Revenge of the Sith. If Lucas had kept the Padme/Rebel Alliance scenes intact it would have been an even better movie.
Currently Playing: World of Warcraft
Voted Star Wars or I mean IV a new hope
None of the other Star Wars movies can ever beat my experience of watching a new hope as a little boy.

easy EMPIRE STRIKES BACK!
"Luke I am your Father"
"NNOOOOOOOOO!!!!!"
........awesome
While the best overall produced movie in the series is easily The Empire Strikes Back, my favorite of the series is A New Hope.
The Empire Strikes Back... for one major reason; Irvin Kershner.
I cant decide. Been staring at this reply box for ten minutes.
Instead we got Jar Jar Binks. Big let down.

Empire Strikes Back, ROTJ is a close second.

Family Guy: Blue Harvest and Something, something, something...dark side.
On serious note, Empire Strikes Back for me. Who can not forget "Luke...I. AM. your father".
Without a single, hesitating doubt.

ESB is mine and most peoples because of the "I am you father" reveal. That's of the biggest twist in movie history
