the people that went to the official forum should never go back. They made the forum unbearable, I hope they have been scared away with this.
If they weren't sure it was going to be ready, they should not have been so sure about it. It's not a big deal on the whole (heck, I dont even want to play beta, and I'm not sure why other people do), but its not winning them any friends
Funniest bit is the stream of excuses by Tarib throughout the morning. None of them even came close to explaining what the problems were, just promising more information soon. If they had been more open from the start, there would be no issues. But I guess it's "secret" after all

Sounds like a hiccup, but nothing to really care about.
If you want to whine on Funcom wait until and if they mess up the launch instead.
Delaying the beta registration is really not a big deal.
Right..Beta equals bugs and this is obviously one of them...however...Funcom....AO, AOC, ya....makes me think of why I left AO...how many yaers without the "promised" graphics update? They have only tweaked stupid stuff there like nano icons and then AOC...nuff said...As a huge fan of Lovecraft and stuff like it I really want this game to succeed...I can wait...fix yer beta launch bug then we shall see
They botched a few launches before which gives potential players a reason to be worried. To say otherwise is to ignore history. I hope Funcom launches this game well, but I understand people are more skeptical than I am, and I am not 100% confident myself.
parrotpholk-Because we all know the miracle patch fairy shows up the night before release and sprinkles magic dust on the server to make it allllll better.

Overall, I think the pleading and begging drowned out the whining by a good amount. Oh well, back to semi-enjoying AoC for me while waiting on GW2, TSW, and Ryse (the last one being my hope for the redemption of the XBox Kinect).

i personally would play this game over TOR or GW2
It would be really fitting if this was all a cover for some ARG elements for the really dedicated to get their key early.
What i find funny is that those who bash Funcom are also the most desperate to get into TSW beta
They probably thought they'd save some money with a discount outsource provider. Can't say that worked well for them.

Let me see if I have this right. Funcom is trying to start the signup for beta . It isn't working because everyone and their dog is trying to signup for beta in the first fifteen minutes the signup for beta is live.
Y'all need to get a life. This isn't the start of the game. You're trying to get on a list for the chance to play in a beta. You're not trying to play in a live beta game but you're trying to signup for beta.
I've been playing games while y'all are complaining because you can't signup for beta in the first fifteen minutes that you could signup for beta.

I dont know , it seems I always wait like years after something is a mega sucess to use. Right now, I use instant messengers for all my chating, I havent started tweeting or facebook yet. Not sure how this beta thing is going to work out for me.
I think the tweeter and facebook stemed from website developement teams puting togather premade social community builder website kits like boonex dolphin. There are dozens of them, actually hundreads if you look hard enough. Of course digg, stumble and other media sites I use and are really no different, there all fun and great things for sure.
