god the community is bad, I mean I wont compare it to others just yet, but damn.
The truth may be puzzling. It may take some work to grapple with. It may be counterintuitive. It may contradict deeply held prejudices. It may not be consonant with what we desperately want to be true. But our preferences do not determine what's true.

I thought Rift was bad but this is pathetic...

that reminds me of forumfall(darkfall's forums) lol...
I dunno, Rift did it a few hours faster, so I guess Rift was first/worse? I still don't see how they did it, I am level 17 after about 18 hours played and the levels are coming slower and slower. Anybody know how many hours played it took?
LOL this comment here "Wow, there has to be a virgin award in there somewhere!"
I mean come ON!!!! you are playing starwars and on top of that a MMO and you make this comment LOL.

"I just sped through your new favorite game, and now I want to celebrate."
"Noob! I'm going to enjoy my bite sized Snickers of a MMO slowly, so go F- yourself."
"But, I mean I did achieve.."
"You achieved nothing, you played the game wrong. Nanannana pupu!"
TOR = WoW in a lot of ways. 1) know it all pretentious asshole fans.
Putting Star Wars on an already addiction / simple reward based gameplay is going to probably make the most intolerable bunch of cunts ever seen on the internet.
I used to play MMOs like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.
rift was 70 hours

I'm going to guess around 18 considering what a search about "firsts" that actually had video or screen caps to back it up started popping up. Most posts have one or two thank you mentions on it so I'm guessing pals handed off the toon.
I used to play MMOs like you, but then I took an arrow to the knee.
The first 50 that I read about on here was about 72 hours after the EA launch, I wouldn't mind knowing how many played hours it took him
/nod
EU player first did it in 2 days 11 hours play time, so about 59 hours total i think is the first 50.
Thats just pathetic...
With the rate mmo's are heading there will never be another mmo people play for more then a year.

I remember those days when you could actually ask questions in channels in games without getting a learn to read or google it.. type of answer.
In old days it was the pen and paper people that played theese games.. .. bah, enough said. Miss days when people had manners and were helpful
I am watching some streams and I see some actually takign breaks and playing, but still they are around 46 today.
Thats not really good.

I so so feel the op, I cant stand the people on there forums already and I havent even goton on there yet to tell them to STFU since stupid gamestop wouldnt give me a early access code or Bioware support for that matter.
I swear to god if I hear one more person over there talk about every aspect of what they do during there day cause they just decide they need to tell everyone for no reason, ima do something crazy up in here. I think its partly Biowares fault since they dont got an off-topic forum and they dont moderator worth a crap.
That's because most people don't want to play a mmo for more than a year.
For me, for example, two months are more than enough of any game. If I can't max out a character in two months of leisurely playing, I'm just dropping the game half-way. I'm not paying to grind.
The real problem is games are being release now with nothing to do other then lvl. Besides leveling and grinding end game instances for gear theres nothing else to do.
Sad really....

That's because there is nothing to do in mmorpgs, period. There is only one thing worthy of my attention, that's pvp, and action games do it better than mmorpgs.
Those posts seemed tame compared to what I read on this site every day.
No it's because theres nothing to do in any of these games.
"It would be awesome if you could duel your companion. Then you could solo pvp".--Thanes
Exactly. What can they offer a gamer? Nothing but grind. Only pvp is interesting, and action-type and twitch-based games do it better. For example, I'm playing WoT and TF2 for years and years, and they are as fun as they were first month.
Yea I dont understand like rush to "End-game" because thats when all the cool ish starts happening like oooo raiding.
I was watching gamebreaker and this girl ruby said, Look I buy the game to have fun right out of the box, not wait until level 20 ish or so to experience good content.
And thats the truth, like if I want to have an epic battle ill have to wait until I reach a certain level, then this is posible.
This is exactly why people rush to a certain level to get to those epic battles and hence these mmos are making leveling easy because everyone knows the supposid fun shit starts at the end.

You are a perfect example of the console generation.
Not sure if you know this but mmo's used to have depth and content. Now there just single player online console games.

Yes TF2 is fun but shallow...

I'm 35 years old. I've started playing mmorpgs with text-based games, the one that first sucked me in was full-pvp ArcticMud, and I've played them through all the years, all the different mmorpgs.
Obviously, I'm a member of console generation who doesn't know anything about anything and who's opinion is automatically invalid if it does not agree with your majestic True Opinion(C).
*rolls eyes*
At least in action-based games I don't have to socialize with the like of you other than through the barrel of my gun.
Of course it's shallow! It was designed to be shallow fun! At least it doesn't pretend to, like, be, like, _deep_, dude... There is no game in the world which isn't, in the end, shallow. Most of them aren't even fun, though, most of mmorpgs included.
