should be to hard as they discussed preset guides to some class dynamics as guides not end alls so a simple preset role function like you can find on dcuo would work well in this.....7 active and 7 passive.....so with long enough play and xp gain you could get enough skills to have all the abilities to be any one of these things, however since gear affect the out put of the skills you would have to have 3 sets of gear on you at each time this could become problematic unless you have acess to storage anywhere like you can get with vip access in scarlet legacy....
Now b2p v p2p really shouldnt matter when it comes to quality of play.. b2p may seem logical, but p2p means constant support. Not just in expansion releases...
And taking my words from 2 totally different topics to try and make a point about something, really I mean wow thats just lame way to make a point...
The secret world is one of the only MMORPGs im looking forward to this year..
I have enjoyed Funcoms games quite a bit, over a year in anarchy online (would probally go back if they updated the engine)
Over a year in AOC was a great PVE game probally one of the best out there and graphics to go with it....
Nearly every MMO out there has issues on launch even big AAA releases..
While that is true, FunComs AO is still the worst launch in MMO history. AoC wasn't great either, and if it had been better and they would have waited another 6 months (as we beta testers said) I think the game would have done a lot better.
No, being able to play a game as much as you want that you paid full price for doesn't seem logical, it is logical.
You know I use to be just like you. When ultima came out I was like Im not gonna buy a game and then pay some one else just to play it...The concept seemed so absurd to me. Then a friend of mine who was playing ultima wanted me to play and argued a good point. You buy a car right...You have to pay for registration and insurance and fuel for it right. You buy the software, WRONG read the eula of every game made you are paying for the right to use the game subject to the developers permission. You actually bought NOTHING.
Now having to pay to play your actually paying for the service to use the software. You dont buy a cell phone and expect to be able to call all you want or text all you want, no cause you have to subscribe to a service. Same principle here...While It may seem like a double dip in many ways, it is in fact a service. However something to consider many times after a title has been out for a bit they end up either offering a free trial with a conversion to sub for a small fee which is many ways is less then the original product....
So you dont want to play a sub cool enjoy f2p and b2p, however to say because of these things a game will be great or not is rather limited in thinking...

Cars do more then entertain. Cellphones can give you piece of mind when your car breaks down or if you get lost on top of being a natural comminication tool which can hold games and information. MMOs are just games that only serve one purpose and it is clearly shown that most people don't want to pay monthly for games anymore but they seem fine and dandy will buying it for to play for a month. Now if they went B2P they could hold those players longer and get money from them in other ways instead of forcing them into a subcription.

Oh nice another bad anology argument to prove a point. So if I buy an apple I can expect someone to charge me extra for disposal of its core and can I expect someone to come and take my apple away if I don't choose to pay for its disposal?
Please stick to facts and leave bad analogies out of it. I pay for electricity (aka fuel like your fuel comparison for a car) and internet ( compare that to your insurance or registration if you'd like) so if I choose not to pay a sub for a game and I judge the game on that it doesn't make me a limited thinker, I just have a different idea of what my money is worth and I can weigh cost over if a product is worth it and in my opinion there aren't many out there that were ever worth a sub to begin with.
Now throw in a B2P game saying that the sub fee is a lie and they are going to do their best to prove it isn't necessary and I don't see anything wrong with questioning the P2P model. Throwing a sub on a game doesn't make it any better of a game than other models since it all comes down to personal taste anyways. I think when I pay for a game it is mine regardless of what developers permission I am granted. If I didn't own it could I sell it when I am through with it going off your example? I think arguing a P2P model makes a game better than another is the limited thinking. Feel free to supply more meaningless analogies to prove others wrong though, I am sure the point will catch on eventually.
So you dont want to play a sub cool enjoy f2p and b2p, however to say because of these things a game will be great or not is rather limited in thinking...
I wouldn't say that... I wouldn't assume a game is good because of its payment model, that's insane. I assume GW2 will be a great game, and as a bonus it will be B2P, not the other way around.
Nope think again, SW is done on same dated engine Funcom used for AO and Age of instances. It's a MMO that will feel dated mechanic wise, and mechanical abilities open for developers to use to create fun new interesting gameplay limited. Enjoy the secret world of instances.
Realistically, it will probably be a lot more theme park than people are thinking. Don't be coyed into thinking this will be a sandbox game because it doesn't have classes.
best mmo ever is going to be GW2 or ArcheAge, I put my money on ArcheAge since westerners just suck at making mmo nowaday.
I honestly will be playing all three of these games for cerative and new feel in MMORPG's.
I might get banned for this. - Rizel Star.
I'm not afraid to tell trolls what they [need] to hear, even if that means for me to have an forced absence afterwards.
P2P LOGIC = If it's P2P it means longevity, overall better game, and THE BEST SUPPORT EVER!!!!!(Which has been rinsed and repeated about a thousand times)
Common Sense Logic = P2P logic is no better than F2P Logic.
Until Funcom shows that they can deliver what they hype then I am guarded by this. I still think this game has a great shot but also think it could be an instanced turd as well.
Iam sorry, but I must stop you people here. What did AoC hype? Very little. The rest of the hype was by you all!!!!! The hype AoC had was the grimness of it and the animations. Which it had. Everything else was you people overhyping. And you know it!!!!!! Warhammer had more hype from developers than AoC did.
Hype is not the word. They are a bunch of liars.
They have been openly lying to customers before and during the months after the AOC launch. Especially this Erling Elligsen or what was his name? Posting interview videos the weeks before launch saying features were in the game when they were not, only to make people part with their hard earned cash to maximize box sales and early subscriptions during the first months.
No other mmo company has lied and manipulated information so much to boost their stock value and to steal customers money. And I am not even talking about how they regularly charged the credit cards of people who canceled, several times during the months when they were having difficulties after the mass cancellations.
Such a fiasco that the game director, Gaute Godagger or what was his name?, left the company.
Hype? You really know nothing of what happened. No, Funcom has lied too much. They will never see my money again. And especially since there are several great mmos comming out in the future, they are really not needed.
But of course, following the Funcom lies and manipulations the community has then hyped the game... what would you expect?
I would be very wary of any videos they release. What you see in not always what you get. And what they tell you is even worse.
Whats the obsession with classless ? I will never get it. Is it now getting so crazy that a simple "this game has no classes" will already earn you a big "oooh wonderful best game ever" now ???
Other than that, the OP said NOTHING which was ANYTHING unusual. Could have as well talked about Darkfall or Archeage or whatever. And in fact the later two have more appealing world settings.
And I'm not going to follow links to figure out what the OP *possibly* actually liked about the game to praise it that skyhigh. If he cant say it himself - meh.

If you dont know about the secret world development then youre not following mmo development in general, its a big tittle on pair whit gw2 sw:tor Archeage.
Never again i would get excited purely on hype of the game especially when Funcom is involved. Been there and done that. I will judge it when i will play it.

Wow I didn't know about that. What's the limits of this engine?
If you dont know about the secret world development then youre not following mmo development in general, its a big tittle on pair whit gw2 sw:tor Archeage.
The thing I'm missing is why the OP thinks this is the best game ever. How exactly would "following MMO development in general" help me understand that ? The skill I would need would be mindreading. Over the internet.
- Fact, many obstacles will be un known until open bata. This is true for any mmo, in fact any video game. It sucks but it's legal. Developers have the right for some reason to not give all the facts, yet hype their game on good points.
1) Will The Secret World zones be instanced ?.....We don't know....If so how bad ? Take Rift as an example. From zone to zone the game was instanced with load times. However the zones were large where in my opinion it was hardly noticeable, and never seemed to be a problem for anyone. Like any other pre-release this would be a mystery for any game. It sucks but developers get to get away with it !.....My guess is yes. How bad ?....We will need open and closed bata testers to tell us.
2) We should hope both GW2 and The Secret World are good. Am I right ?
3) My fear of GW2...I think, and it's ONLY my opinion is that the B2P model will be shorter than people think, surprisingly short. This will shock everyone, piss many players off. Two weeks after release will be confronted with an expansion for us to buy. Hay, It's taking long for this release, what do you think ANet is doing with their free time...Making all the expansions !
- Why is it taking so long ?
- What does GW1 releasing expansions once a year have to do with GW2 ?
- It's better Marketing to quickly release expansions. Get them while its hot !
- If it takes x amount of years to make the core game, how long does it take to make expansions ?... If it were me, make them all at the same time.
To make a long story short :
Who knows ?....Video game developers could get away with a lot of crap, as with all of them. Let's hope for the best BECAUSE WE DON'T KNOW until bata testers tell us. you should know this by now !

That's what SOE did with SWG. 3 massive content packs just before NGE.
As for Secret World, I simply can't get over how outdated the graphics look. True, it's youtube but it looks like GTA 3 with zombies. Best of luck to them, I have no gripe or grief with the company and the basic world looks cool. I've always wanted a game that took place in relative modern world. I guess we will see.

Messing uop the launch cost a lot of players.
Are we really jumping on the hype train for another game already? Wake me up when this train derails like all the others.

Why would anyone hope any game is bad ?
Any player, that is.
For the investors, they would hope everyone elses game is awful and their own game is perfect, so they can hog all the players.
The player would prefer to have only perfect games, so he could play whatever pleases him and always have a great experience.
