Will you give it a rest? Mirrored races/classes is the subject of literally 8 of your last 10 posts. You've made your point abundantly clear.
I've already tried to educate you on why GW2 is doing what it's doing. Apparently at least twice since that link refers back to an earlier attempt.
I would argue that GW2 WILL HAVE BETTER PVP THAN DAOC. What they're doing, which involves mirrored classes, also improves the gameplay. Yes, it comes at a cost to lore and realism, but you can't have everything. Gameplay > Lore.
Take some time and learn about GW2, especially the awesome things they're doing with PVE lore and personal storylines, or else people are just going to keep facepalming you like in that other thread.
This prompted me to check some this guys posts to get some more context, and I gotta say...
Just... wow.

Comaf, brah, GW2 doesn't have factions. If you don't like it, take a hike. Go play some Darkfall or something because GW2 is not your game if you all you care about is lore-based factions. I understand your preference is a niche that isn't well filled, but constantly complaining that every game doesn't suit you (on those games' boards) isn't going to earn you any respect.

I enjoy the serenity of not caring what your opinion is.
as of yet there are some bits and pieces of different features that will be in GW2 on release that we have yet to know about or know little info about. So untill the game is released we would not know what features we would like to be added first.
On a side note, I would like to see personal/guild houses and crafting for them. It would nice to even build them our selves but if not done right could create a mess of the game world.
Someone on here said something that I thought would be a good idea but I dont know if they could work it into a feature.
At current we have dynamic event bosses which are massive. As far as how difficult they'll be, no one knows yet. Since Anet is agaisnt raiding, why not merge these Dynamic Event bosses with raiding somehow? Have huge world event bosses that are nigh impossible or just severely hard or difficult to slay. You would need tons of players to assemble and help slay the beast. Almost like WvWvW but instead of beating the other players, it would be to defeat this epic scale boss.
So my idea would be to make Epic Dynamic Events. Hell, for all I know they could have these already in-game or planned.
The Epic Dynamic Event bosses are already like that. Designed for up to 100 people and are very difficult to overcome. I believe the Dragon fight in the Demo was made easier for the demo, but even with Arenanet help, people still failed it more often then they beat it.
Also, don't discount WvWvW for events that will require and reward large, organized warbands. Even though there is content there for smaller groups and even soloers may have a reason to explore and adventure there, the massive Keep battles will be, well, massive and require a lot of strategy and organization. The advantage over Raids is that you can't pre-script players and things will be a lot more unpredictable as a result.

Truly those are wise words from a wise man.
And on that note, what features Guild Wars 2 needs to add are...
- 2 Faction-based Open World PvP.
- Tiered raiding progression, with bosses farting out the best loot.
- Loot rolls
- Tiered PvP gear progression.
- Dedicted Tanks and Healers.
Yep, that's exactly what the game needs because I've seen a lot of people, like the OP, complaining about the lack of such features in the game. ArenaNet must do all they can to appease such individuals.

Thanks for the concise list - this could well be the first game I've ever bought because of the list of features it doesn't have!
I would like to see: (I know this is a weird thing but please don't hate me )
- slow walk
-fast walk
xD those are the 2 things I like to see, for roleplayers it could be really cool if you could choose if you wanted to walk fast or slow ;P and normal ofc.
I also like to see par dances, you know waltz and so, if you were human, or atleast dances that suits the race, instead of (in wow) it is just some random dances, It would be nice if the emotes had a little lore under them xD!

IF Anet adds that list to GW2 ill cancel my preorder and go back to wow lol
PERMADEATH, as in you have to buy a new copy of the game if you die!
and every copy has an increased price as penalty, right?... right? -.-
Yeah, it should be a stacking de-buff (increase price by 5% after every death). Then we'll have people saying "I'm such a hardcore MMO player, becuase I've played Guild Wars 2"

Better yet, the game should have a slider to allow player to adjust their movement speed and acceleration, because I can walk at more than 3 speeds.
Progression Leveling for Pvp. I am not a big fan of everyone going in at top level. You need a way to grow your skills. I think rift is doing it right. There is always a time when you will be outclassed. That's why you work to get better. Being gank'd in open world is annoying and you have the option pve servers.
I only play games with PVP and I am not that good at it. But with the right Raid I am Death Incarnate.
Comments
I'd love to see them add a spectator mode to PvP, like we see in Guild Wars 1. I'd also like to see social networking built into in-game chat.
@OP - Honestly...
Until the game comes out, no answer we give can be valid.
-Invalid Answer-
I used to TL;DR, but then I took a bullet point to the footnote.

that would mess the game up... becoming another gear grinding wow copy
I'd like to see a Beta test date cause atm these kinds of threads are a waste of everyones time...
1.because we dont know ALL the features that are going to be in full release and
2. Cause this is just gonna became a flame fest with WoW brainwashed kids wanting instanced raids which we know this will never happen.
Cheers
His just trolling champ (i think/hope)

I would like to see real player housing. As that is already planned, I guess I am going to get what I want.
As for the gear grind, that would be a good reason to quit playing.
Guildhalls or guildcities.
It would add a lot of PvP possibilities as well as letting the players design something by themselves, at least if they make it right.

OMG GENIUS! No wait! We should be able to control it in %! !
yeah it would be nice to gather with guildies and raid a nemesis guild's city / castle hehehe
I agree, this is great idea.
Fixed.
I only play games with PVP and I am not that good at it. But with the right Raid I am Death Incarnate.
