They got your money my money and everyone else who bought the game. Whether or not the game continues doesnt matter they made profit on their product so no matter how you fill about it Bioware and EA are the victors. If EA see's that the game isnt pulling in profit anymore they will shut it down. At this point they are doing nothing but gain they are no longer in the negatives for this game its all profit now so i dont think they care eather way other than they want to keep making money.

If you think SW:TOR has 1.7million subs you are in a fantasy world.

I can't go anywhere without people talking about how they quit SW:TOR within a month...

Nevermind on release every server was Heavy/Full.

Now 58/60 servers are Light/Medium the entire day with only two ever getting Heavy...

You must have played it in Beta right?  I did since I was spending 150.00 dollars on the game.

I found I liked the Game yes it has issues but in a year or so most of those issues will be solved.

Lets compare to WoW at luanch ok, lets see:

    1. I didnt get to beta test it.

    2. Servers crashed and some times I couldn't logon to the game so I gave up.

    3. I wasted $40.00 and quit becaue I didn't like the interface at that time.

    4. I didn't come to these fourms raging about it, I went back to SWG.

Now why do you rant you must have gotten in to beta and tried it?  Right?

Or your just not telling us the truth because the things your saying have been rehased here over and over.

They are working on the graphics issue, and Ilum is IIum which they admit they are going to change.

The game runs great looks great on my I7 PC with a 6950 ATI card I've teweaked it but it does look real good.

I don't want your stuff but good bye have fun raging about you next game.

It is quie possible that game has 1.7 mill subs. Take into consideration all the servers from US/ EU/ Asia pasific and do the math. Numbers would be quite similar moreover, 1.7 million means subs not concurrent number of players logging at same time.

The game wasn't that fun for me. I was done after the first month.

The only reason I have anything "against" it at all is because they killed off SWG. If they hadn't I'd cheer them on, but since they did I hope the game tanks quickly so the IP can get passed on.

Oh rly ? Why do they have a free trial weekend, not even 3 months after release ?

Maybe because they want to?  Maybe because they want people to try the game before deciding to buy it?  Not everything is doom and gloom.

I'm getting so tired of all these "watch SWTOR, RIFT, Etc FAIL HARD!" threads.

seriously guys, why all that hatred?

what do you get out of this? do you actually sit at home and wait for a gam or a publisher to get some problems, or maybe even only not being able to hold up to the expectations, and then go "YEA! THEY FAILED! I TOLD YA! THEY FAILED!!!" and do the dance all the day?

    what for? ^^

all i see is some people trying to make a game that they thought might be interesting to play, and what they get out of it is the hatecrew, burning everything that has EA or bioware on it ^^

is there actually any benefit you gain by your actions? duno, maybe i missed something - just asking.

ps: uh and they surely did not kill SWG, that decision was lucas' (-arts) alone.

i hardly doubt bioware went out there and told them to shut down SWG because there can be only one star wars mmo! that rather sounds like serious force business to me  :)

SWTOR is Lucasarts. There can be no Star Wars game without LA.

If LA creates another SW MMO, they could then pull the plug on SWTOR too

LA just thought that SWG players would play SWTOR and keep revenue from SWG players still, and / or EA offered LA more money if they shut down SWG, as EA would not get any revenue from SWG players unless SWG players moved to play SWTOR.

EA are good at securing licences, they got the NFL games, and they acquired the licence to Porsche, preventing Turn 10 use Porsche in Forza 4, whereas EA allowed Turn 10 to use Porsche in Forza 3.

If it was a good game we would want it to succeed. The fact is it's a bad game so people want it to fail because they don't want EA making tons of cash by producing low quality products.

What makes the haters angry is the fact that you guys support a game with such bad production quality.

Essentially people are angry that you guys support Mcdonalds even though we all know it's food is horrible.

I don't want to see SWTORS die because I think it's a great game. I want it to fail so that EA get's  what it deserves and games that have hundred's of millions invested are actually good and show their production value. When you play SWTOR's all I can think is "where did all the money go?"

    Answer: some executives pocket.

Well since SOE holds a SW license for their clone wars game and now Bioware has one, that i truly believe was wasted, maybe they will work with another game company that actually has some forward and actual mmorpg thinking to create a real SW mmo.
