If only it were trolling. Instead, it's someone who loves SWTOR so much that he has a need to post anything good that happens on MMORPG.com to defend the game from everyone who thinks it's a crap game, is willing to lose female companionship over it and doesn't find it embarrassing that he is admitting that he'd rather exchange real life treasures for virtual loot.
I don't think people are backpedlding so much as...feeling sorry for him.
My experience with customer service is that I submitted a ticket regarding a bug and money and it was never answered or responded to for the 20 days I played it before I canceled my sub and uninstalled the game.
Then again, in regards to his e-mail, it's not showing any of the email info, just the body of the text, so he doesn'ta ctually prove that it happened in 3 hours.
And what exactly do you know about him or his relationship to consider it such a treasure. considering the divorce rate in this world I would say you are conveniently ignoring the fact that every relationship is rife with problems that need to be either overcome, overlooked, or an escape from found for.
I think you point out exactly why posts like this are made and why some people feel the need to make them because people like you are so quick to try and supplant your own experiences with those of the poster to the point that you feel that he needs to prove he isn't a liar?
Imagine if those of us who have had good experiences constantly told you that you were a liar and that you needed to prove these bad experiences?
This isn't a court of law no one should have to prove anything especially since forward thinking people without ulterior motives can easily admit while many of peoples experiences with csr's in any game may be bad some would have to be good as well.
I for one am glad that people like myself and the op don't leave sites like mmorpg to people who only want to troll in negative manners and again I suggest if you guys don't believe us then go to the myriad of troll posts made and talk those folks up but please stop trying to justify your own feelings by belittling those of us who don't agree with you.

A person that would delete someone's hard work is not a treaure, my friend. There are MILLIONS of fish in the sea. Don't get caught with a possessive, pyscho, jealous needy one.
If this is how the woman acts over a minor issue like a video game, how the hell is she going to handle a real crisis? Or something more meaningful?
The guy is 24 years old. No reason to put up with dumb stunts like this, or you are asking for a whole lot of pain in the future.
My girlfriend has been frustrated with how much I have been playing SW:TOR (hint : I'm addicted! The game is awesome!!!) and when I was taking a shower this morning, guess what?!?
She deleted my main!!! I couldnt believe it! 15 days /played down the drain. I went to the boards in hopes of finding a solution, made a post and it was answered within 1 hour. My character was restored within 3 hours!
Just in time for me to finish the daily event today (which is releated to the world event) and get the final piece in the gear set for the event!
Awesome job again BIOWARE! You guys rock!
It really isn't hard to restore your character they can do within 5 minutes. This is what you pay your 15 dollars a month for so stop congratulating them.

Exactly why doesn't he have the right to post his positive experiences when the trolls are making multiple threads about the exact same thing?

His post about not being embarrassed about the fact that his lady is about to leave him because he's a grown man pretty much sums it up. His claim that he felt a need to hide his gamming from his girlfriend, but then decided that he'll just do it anyway and if she doesn't like it, she can hit the road....That is text book behavior of an addict.
I think you point out exactly why posts like this are made and why some people feel the need to make them because people like you are so quick to try and supplant your own experiences with those of the poster to the point that you feel that he needs to prove he isn't a liar?
I will address this shortly.
Imagine if those of us who have had good experiences constantly told you that you were a liar and that you needed to prove these bad experiences?
What happened, in my case, is that I decided to ignore the haters and believe the fanboys, bought the game, had fun with it for three weeks until I got bored and overwhelemed with the lack of actual MMOness to the game, the lack of customer service and the overall low quality of content in the game, and quit without even completeing my 30 day paid time. I was rather upset that I just spent 70 bucks on a crap game. I should have listened to the haters.
This isn't a court of law no one should have to prove anything especially since forward thinking people without ulterior motives can easily admit while many of peoples experiences with csr's in any game may be bad some would have to be good as well.
SWTOR is proven to be a pile of rhino dung. So proof otherwise is required at this point.

I wonder if you gave you girlfriend 14.99 a month what kind of customer service you would get? Sure she has some bioware too....priorities are wrong....first you were taking that shower alone....
There are times when one must ask themselves is it my passion that truly frightens you? Or your own?

No I'm not calling you a troll because you don't agree with me I'm calling you a troll because of the tone of your post to the op about feeling sorry for him (as if he asked for your or my pity) and because of your baseless sumation of a relationship you know nothing about.
and again you mention exactly why I have problem with posts like yours. you don't like TOR which somehow for some reason translates into your mind as proof that the game is bad overall and no one should like it either atleast not more than they like the girl they are currently dating. sorry guys but just because someone doesn't agree with you doesn't mean you need to troll them and the decisions they are making.
Maybe you should do yourself a favor and avoid posts that you know are going to be positive about a game you have decided you don't like.
My assumptions are made based upon information provided to me by the op. You are now stating that pointing out that the op may wish to reconsider his priorities regarding a game and a real life relationship is trolling. I disagree.
My opinion of how much SWTOR sucks is based upon experience of going into the game believing what the fanbois were saying. In fact, I attribute half of my time of enjoyment in the game to a psychosis of not wanting to believe I just wasted 70 bucks...But once I got towards the end of the game, as it were, I just could not ignore the many flaws and limitations of the game and the lack of the most basic features that any modern MMO should have.
You can look at it this way: While yourself and the OP and the other fanbois feel a need to post about how X or Y is so great about SWTOR, I feel the need warn away those who are wandering dangerously close to the path of purchasing this game. It's not trolling, it's providing clarification for the blind.

So because you were a bad consumer by listening to what others said and not doing your own research on the product you paid money for you expect everyone else to be just as foolish as you were? And this is why you feel the need to take a dump in a positive thread? Okay then.

Over the top and deflective reaction, but seeing as your current favorite game is SWTOR, It's understandable. What does it say that you don't actually argue with any of the issues I had with the game?
However, I must agree. It was very stupid of me to listen to the praise of SWTOR fans in the various reviews that I read. It was quite ignorant of me to ignore the bad reviews and dismiss them as jaded haters. I learned a very costly lesson in my HUGE mistake of listening to SWTOR fanbois...One that I will not repeat in the future....

It means the things you find that make the game unplayable means jack squat to me. Hence, I don't see the need to gripe about them. I don't like WOW, but I don't make a habit of stalking their forums and crapping in every positive thread on the game. That would be disrespectful to the people who are enjoying the game and want to discuss things other than "Dis Game Sux."
Maybe it's just me, but I find it to be very disrespectful of others to crap in a positive thread when there are MANY other negative threads in this forum. MMORPG.COM is pretty much a haters paradise. It's not like the haters aren't getting their say around here.
However, I must agree. It was very stupid of me to listen to the praise of SWTOR fans in the various reviews that I read. If you agree, then how was I over the top? You just confirmed everything I said. Only bad consumers blindly buy a game when there was SO much info before hand as well as plenty of oppertunities to play it in BETA. I enjoy the game, but you better believe I did my homework before plucking down my hard earned money. It's why my list of MMOs played is much smaller than many others here.
1.) I'm not stalking SWTOR's forums trolling about how bad the game is. I'm responding to a 'SWTOR IS SO GREAT!' forum post on a general MMORPG forum.
2.) You're reaction was deflective and over the top because you did not address any of the poitns that I made, and instead tried to divert the issues that I have with the game on me being a "bad consumer". It's the same thing as telling a victim that they are at fault, "Well, it's you're fault you got robbed!"
3) You failed to catch the tongue-in-cheek sarcastic nature of my second paragraph. The fact is that I did do my research, I was reading two opposite opinions of the game, decided to actually believe the makers of the game and their fans instead of the people they were labeling as just 'haters', and I got screwed for it because what I purchased was an unfinished lenear co-op game that lacked in very basic features when what was advertised was a highly polished next gen MMORPG.
4) I wasn't even argueing about that. What I was pointing out is the state of the OP where he A.) feels a need to hide his gamming from his SO and then B.) decided he was tired of hiding what he obviously saw as an embarrasing activity (why else hide it) and now holds the opinion that if she doesn't like it, she can leave, with no clear indication that he has done anything in an attempt to meet her half way in regards to what she clearly is disturbed about. C) No, I don't know the whole situation, but i) he OP views his girlfriend deleting a character because she is mad he plays MMO's as a random act of "crazy" and ii) people only ever tell their side of the story...It basically comes down to: Dude, maybe you should back off the game just a little and try spending some time and communicating with your girlfiend about it.

And here we go again, when BioWare employee's make up stories to try and promote their dead game that's going to have like 2 servers left once they do that server merge.
Great job BioWare, just lowering your standards even more by hiring people to make up some BS story on forums like these.

Some of you people crack me up. Try to read the thread before sticking your foot in your mouth. The first guy to do it at least apologized once he was proven wrong. You have no excuse.
If it's marketing we're talking about, in a specialised forum based environment, black marketing would prove to be a far more effective method, if resources weren't too much of a factor. So, who are you again?
The point is on a forum like this there are going to be a number of shrills, it just so happens that negative comments have more impact on people's choices than possitive ones, so common sense says if you want more people to play your game you don't big it up, you bad mouth the competition.

The date on the email changes when you log in, I did not just recieve it 30 minutes ago. I recieved it 2-3 hours after i made the post on the bioware site tbqh.
As far as I know Bioware doesn't do the customer service, EA does. I sent in a bug report ticket the other day about the "Logout" button in the escape menu not working, got a reply in about 20 seconds, the next day I got 4 more replies on the same damn ticket and I can't delete them.
First time I sent in a ticket about 3 months ago about buying the wrong weapon off a vendor and asking for a comm refund or swap, ticket went unread for 2 weeks and then suddenly got closed, I wrote another one which got closed 2 days later with no response.
PS- your gf deleting your toon was uncalled for, but I think she's sending you a message that she wants you to spend more time off the game.
I hope he likes Swtor better than female company. Doesnt sound like he's going to have it for long.
Then again judging by his post history I dont even know if I believe this junk even happened. She knew your password? And why would she just delete your main and not the alts too? I call bull.
Also what a coincidence. There's been a couple of threads up today talking about how Swtor's customer service is awful, and the OP posts one saying its great all in one day. Negative threads appeared earlier in the week and last about how Swtor giving out a free month is desperate, and the OP posts a thread about how its wonderful.
Im beginning to see a pattern here.
you may just be in denial that someone had a great experience get over yourself.
i'm beginning to think everyone is a conspiracy theorist LMFAO! come up with some rpetty outlandish stuff in your head and post it hear to see if it sounds any better then in your head..... FYI it sounds worse.
They would have to have fresh flowers put in my room and a mint on my pillow to get my attention. And a full minibar with bags of peanuts. I'm pretty disappointed with those guys. On several levels.
Ballerinas are always on their toes. Why don't they just get taller ballerinas?
Monorojo its been about a week now, isn't it time for another Bioware = so good for = X good deed post again? I mean you only have two going at the same time right now. Maybe you should talk about how good the graphics are? Or perhaps praises for the 1.2 patch.
I hope he likes Swtor better than female company. Doesnt sound like he's going to have it for long.

I've been noticing the same... I'm beginning to think Viral Marketer. Something we all, pretty much, know EA does...
If it's marketing we're talking about, in a specialised forum based environment, black marketing would prove to be a far more effective method, if resources weren't too much of a factor. So, who are you again?

Nope. You denigrate the crtics and spread postive stories. Any shots to other games are just in passing. You goal is to 'look above it' while making anyone with legitimate criticisms of your operations 'paranoid' while ostracising them as trolls. You'd be surprised how many one-day suspensions I've gotten for just pointing out flaws in the game. Not even posts addressed at someone. It's about social manipulation and squelchin dissent. Not advertising or standing on your merits.
Like when bad restauraunts give themselves 5-star reviews online. Then you take your wife to Mother's Day Brunch and have one of the worst meals of your life... Case in point, Bistro 215, Nashville, TN -- now closed due to crap food and no customers, yet had a bunch of 5-star 'just so story' reviews... Imagine that...
Look at the distribution of the reviews on the chart. An abnormal # of 4's and 5's. NO 3's. And a bunch of 1's and 2's. And, considering how the restauraunt closed (in the premium Green Hills area in Nashville)... The 1's and 2's had it right. This was a 'no fail' location if your food was decent. But it wasn't even as good as Applebee's...
Anyway, that's viral marketing. Lying through your teeth. With games it includes labeling people as 'trolls' and 'haters' when they criticize the game. Regardless of the emotional content of their posts.

It's a well known fact that EA hires marketeers to come on forums posing as normal forumgoers as part of their "viral marketing" department.

So what he is saying is not that unbelievable.

Character Name - Monorojo
Server name: Dark Reaper
The date and time of the deletion of your character: 4/16/2012 around 2:40 PM
She doesnt want me to play anymore so she deleted it. Very rude I think.
Anyway is there anyway I can get it restored?

How slow do you guys need to be to not see through the BS?
As far as I know Bioware doesn't do the customer service, EA does. I sent in a bug report ticket the other day about the "Logout" button in the escape menu not working, got a reply in about 20 seconds, the next day I got 4 more replies on the same damn ticket and I can't delete them.
First time I sent in a ticket about 3 months ago about buying the wrong weapon off a vendor and asking for a comm refund or swap, ticket went unread for 2 weeks and then suddenly got closed, I wrote another one which got closed 2 days later with no response.
PS- your gf deleting your toon was uncalled for, but I think she's sending you a message that she wants you to spend more time off the game.
you may just be in denial that someone had a great experience get over yourself.
i'm beginning to think everyone is a conspiracy theorist LMFAO! come up with some rpetty outlandish stuff in your head and post it hear to see if it sounds any better then in your head.....
Desperation is in the air people.
I've been noticing the same... I'm beginning to think Viral Marketer. Something we all, pretty much, know EA does...
